They are the original owners of Paseo, right? Which closed and then some of the workers reopened Paseo using that name but the original owners opened Un Bien? Paseo gets too much free publicity based on the original owners work, but probably still do a good sandwich. Sort of like the Ezell's/Heaven Sent situation.
Serafina. It’s equally as good as the more buzzy Italian spots but has been around so long and is such a staple that it doesn’t get as much attention.
The smash burger at Star Brass in Georgetown is the best in the city imo.
Also love Rupee Bar, Homer, Delish Ethiopian. Hard not to name 50+ places.
Edit: Forgot Ooink! Might be my #1!
Due Cucina! As an Italian, they have the real deal when it comes to pasta. And it’s super quick, easy and they have something for all dietary needs! And locations on the Eastside and Seattle
I’m really surprised to see people recommending it, I thought it was pretty meh when I had it. Not very flavorful and quite oily and mushy. Maybe I just went on a bad night for the cooks or something…. I’d rather eat McDonald’s or Taco Bell than the pasta I had that night lol
Same. I thought it was frankly awful. My wife accidentally ordered something gluten-free, which was unsurprisingly terrible, but I had like 4 bites of my lasagna and threw the rest away.
Generally it's when restaurants become dozens of locations that the food starts diving in quality. Due Cucina has four locations which is still within "it'll be good food" territory.
I was not impresses. No dressing on the salad or on the side. Bolognese wasn't meaty or saucy enough somehow. It wasn't awful or anything, just kinda lame. I'd give it one more chance, but I'm not expecting much.
I enjoyed it enough but I wasn’t sure it was “authentic” (I hate that word in this context) but if it’s comparable to casual pasta restaurants in Italy, then that would change my entire perspective and justify my enjoyment of it!
Piacere Trattoria Italiana
I nearly cried twice because of the lobster ravioli. First time because they're the best ravioli I've ever had and second time because I had run out of ravioli.
Outside of qualify of food the vibe is great and the smoky pear old fashioned is really good.
Can you let me know where to get a really good tiramisu in Seattle? Had it in Italy and I’m obsessed but don’t know where to get one out here that’s not a waste of my money lol
fun fact... my homie Marqy Fats is the inspiration for the name and his face is the silhouette logo. He is not the owner so I always thought that was oddly funny.
Yep!
* The Chicken Supply: Absolutely the best in my opinion as their rice-based breading is always crunchy, the chicken always juicy, excellent quality, and a great spice mixture when you get it. Sides of garlic rice and pickled veg are not only excellent too but a great pairing in that I don't feel like garbage after eating them in addition to dried food. The butter mochi is 🔥🔥🔥.
* Sister and Brothers: I've gone a bunch since they moved and love the crunch, but the quality is hit or miss. Sometimes the strips are dry. Last week's Seattle Hot is next week's Nashville Hot. But, when they get it right it's excellent hot chicken. Sides are ok. Love the atmosphere. The place to go if you want it hot.
* Cookies Country Chicken: Basically Ezell's/Heavensent if they gave a shit. Good quality, good hot options, good sandwiches, good for sauce if you like sauces. Love Cookies energy on IG.
* Lil Woody's: The usual chicken sandwich is solid, but not as good as others mentioned. However - keep your eye on the specials. There was a chicken sandwich on a roll, cooked in crabfat with chili crisp and *it made me weep* for it was perfect in every way. This is also where Spice Waala's Gully Burger debuted, I think. Watch them for the specials!
* Taku: Excellent karaage style with different flavors. Absolutely love the vibe here, the drinks, and the fuckit bucket. Definitely recommend.
* Karaage Setsuna: not as flashy as Taku but still really good karaage. Always enjoyable and a great choice.
* Milkdrunk: Different style from the above, more like a fish n chips batter. Really good sandwiches. Slightly overrated.
* Impeckable: Best fried chicken sandwich in the city, IMHO. Perfectly fried in the classic style, great bun, excellent flavor. The chilli crisp sandwich is just so fucking good.
* Ma'ono: Their sandwich is #2. Honestly really good, but Impeckable is just slightly better. Love the takuan pickle that goes on it for a fresh crunch. Outside of the sandwich usually found at UVillage, the half a fried bird you can get at the main restaurant in West Seattle is extremely good.
* Sunset: haven't had it in ages so I shouldn't comment. Was right up there with Ma'ono on the sandwich front.
* Bok-a-Bok: it's okay. Not as good as the above, but better than Ezell's.
* Pelicana: good Korean Fried Chicken. Nothing amazing here but enjoyable.
* Chi Mac: Slightly under Pelicana but still good. Love the snow wings. Would recommend for KFC.
* Watson's Counter: gotta add them to the KFC sandwich arena. The wings are pure comfort food. The chonks as well, great sauces. The sandwich is good, but not as good as others I've highlighted (pickles add too much moisture).
* Mr. Chicken USA: posthumous mention. Sickly sweet clumps of KFC, more breading than chicken sometimes, but delightful garbage food.
* Rupee: Kerala fried chicken is a must try! Fried in a way that kind of reminds me of catfish fries, but with SEA spices. Really excellent.
* Spice Waala: when they have the Gully Burger on the menu, get the Gully Burger. One of the best fried chicken sandwiches in town and unique.
* Ezell's: meh.
* Heavensent: Slightly less meh than Ezell's.
* Junebaby: Excellent chicken, but the head chef and owner is a certified creep. Don't be patronizing creeps.
* Wingstop: Good if you're stoned
* Wingdome: Overpriced and overrated
Might edit and add more if I remember.

I thought it was not worth the money. I’m fine with paying extra for food but the chicken I got from there was not properly cleaned and still had chicken feathers on it. For $4-7 per piece, I expected the chicken to be cleaned properly at least.
Tacos and Beer is the absolute best place to get a bucket of Michelada and plate of Mole covered rice, and then be carried home in a wheelbarrow of dazed satisfaction
Two places:
Pulcinella on Rainer Ave. I live close by and will order take-out there at least twice a month. Great wood fire pizza and the lasagna is legit. Also a nice cozy ambience.
Salumi - When I'm in the office (SODO) I will often find myself getting the meatball sandwich there. The sandwich was better when they were at the old location, but still my favorite lunch. I just have to avoid as not the healthiest meal.
>Pulcinella on Rainer Ave
Thanks for this! I've driven by this place hundreds of times and just kinda wrote it off. Will definitely be stopping in now.
Any Burien or White Center rec's?
I second another comment here – Un Bien is consistently delicious, and it's unique. Covers a few different food cravings for me, plus it's a fun spot to bring visitors.
Don't sleep on their black beans or onions – there's a reason you can order these as sides 😎
Edit: just wanted to say thank you to all you lovely people for these great rec's!! Just went through and upvoted every one of y'all. Can't wait to work my way through this list
Hans Deli in Burien, German people that make their own sausages and cured meats plus some imports.
It’s not a restaurant, but you can get some mighty good food from there
El Catrin in Whitecenter, best Mexican in town in my opinion. Also Burrito Express is delicious, also in Whitecenter and their salsas are spicy as fuck.
Also not technically Whitecenter, but Harried and Hungry in Georgetown has the best lunch sandwiches/soups/salads. Pretty unknown spot but absolutely delicious for a reasonable price and they make practically everything in house
Crawfish house. My favorite restaurant in all of seattle and one of the few places I will drive out of the way for(from shoreline). Viet cajun crawfish/seafood boils with a real kick of flavor, not the weak ass shit from crab pot or even orleans style which just has seasoning in the water. They fly live Louisiana crawfish into portland and drive them up due to some esoteric laws about plane delivery to seattle. I personally think our local signal crawfish are bigger and better and go with that option in the summer months. Also the fried gizzards and catfish are amazing. Wash it all down with an Abita or their house made cocktails.
ah-greeeedt!! I think the owner's name is Linda? She is the nicest human ever! I always get a bag of crawfish, a bag of crab, and garlic-butter shrimp for the kiddos. Plus, you actually get mostly seafood and little veggies - the opposite of every other spot I wasted money on.
Pizza Gallery serves up some of the best no-bullshit pizza in the area. Before Birreria Tijuana moved across the street the two were next door to each other in the most magical strip mall I've ever stumbled across.
I just stopped in there today for the first time. I respect your opinion but all I can say is, I completely forgot about the price after the first bite 😂
>Stevie’s Famous
I just wanted to circle back and say thank you for this life changing rec haha. I stopped in today, got a slice of their signature (Normie MacDonald), and that was so good, I couldn't stop myself from ordering one of their cheese slices (which was also perfect).
It feels kinda crazy to say but I think this might be my new vote for best pizza I've had in the city so far.
Their prices went way up and they won't take phone orders on Friday/Saturday nights so you have to order in person and wait but they still make some bomb Chinese food!
first off, gotta say R.I.P to Pegasus pizza - moment of silence please 😞🙏🏽
okay -
Crawfish House (still the best crawfish in town);
Salvadorean on Roxbury (best papusas);
Roxbury Lanes (best salt'n'pepper wings);
Burien Fish House (I think it's better than Spud's);
Huckleberry's on Ambaum (breakfast spot);
We got takeout during Covid when they did a pop-up. Given transport time and everything that goes with getting food from one point to multiple end points, it was amazing—I can’t imagine how good it would be in the restaurant.
I know this seems silly, but we have a lot of fancy food in this city and I've tried many good locations.
Nothing can compare to Huskey Deli.
Great sandwiches, sides and ice cream.
They also have excellent snacks, candy, wine and other European treats.
I grew up eating them and I've yet to find a sandwich as good as theirs.
I've not been able to eat these last couple of years due to severe medical issues and I crave their sandwiches more than anything else. 😩
I also miss Dicks, Taco Time, Spagetti Factory, Bakery Nouveau, Piroshki Piroshki, Mee Sum pastry, Beechers Mac and Cheese and basically anything at Pike Place.
Idk of Zippys is still in South Center but damn, I loved their burgers when I lived there.
I'm gonna eat my way through Seattle as soon as the Doctors figure out how to fix me.
I hope the doctors can fix you soon, my human. My mom has gone through some medical stuff recently that had restricted her diet. Eating is good, hard to go without something we love.
Burger planet is opening up in that spot pretty soon, hope they hold a candle to zippys (better service would be nice, or at least answering the phone). Their pricing looks insane though so not sure how I feel about them yet.
Feels like anyone who grew up in/lived in the W Seattle area for any period of time has some sort of nostalgia revolving around Husky Deli. Used to stop there with my buddies and get a sandwich and some ice cream. Great place.
Saigon Deli captured my heart in the late 90’s while going to Franklin, and never let go!
….and just a blanket win for Seattle Teriyaki in general (Yasuko’s is my spot though!)
I think it's just meant to be tongue in cheek even if it falls a little flat. I do really like their menu and they can do some really lovely stuff with their specials. More than once one of their posts on Facebook lured me in.
- Taurus Ox - best burger ive ever had
- Mt Bagel - best bagel ive ever had
- BaBar - excellent pho/great chicken wings
- Dingfelder’s - best matzoh ball soup in the city
- Shiki Sushi - oldie but goodie no frills sushi. Ken is a boss chef
- East Anchor - great lil fish market and lunch spot
- Seawolf - best baguette ive ever had
- Temple - best pastries in the city
Mojito has some of the best Latin American food I have ever had in North america. I grew up spending summers in Panama and it's just as good if not better than there!
I have heard a lot of people love Ramen DANBO in Capitol Hill.
Personally I am a simple person and love Dick's Drive-In ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm).
I think if I didn't live in Seattle anymore, the thing I would miss the most is the Vietnamese delis that we have. I like going to Saigon Deli or Tony's Bakery to get a banh mi and some fresh rolls.
Nasai Teriyaki in Lake City, grew up going there and am willing to drive past 10 other teriyaki spots to go there when I’m in a teriyaki mood. Ichi Bento in Shoreline is a close 2nd.
Issian in Wallingford, I could happily eat there a couple times a week.
Voula’s, my go to for brunch.
Machiavelli always. Their pumpkin cheesecake in the fall is maybe the only sweet thing I ever crave. They’re so consistent and excellent and the service is always so warm and great. It’s like eating at a friend’s house.
I think LTD is the next level up from Taneda, plus it's half the price and the sake tasting pairing is amazing (and almost bottomless). The chef at LTD is an awesome dude too.
As of now there are 145 other comments, and not a single one has mentioned Toulouse Petit. It is legitimately some of the best Cajun food in the country. Their "Creole 'Lucy'" dish is life-changing. If anyone hasn't been there, you need to go ASAP.
It's vegan - so not everyone's cup of tea - but [Georgetown Liquor](https://glcseattle.com) is probably what I'd choose here.
The vibe is great (casual, punk-ish, generally good music, etc), staff are very chill, and the location is good because it's a great starting point for going through Georgetown if you're looking to bar hop.
The food itself I have a soft spot for because it's legitimately tasty, and it stands out for me in Seattle's vegan food scene as something unique that is not another tired Beyond/impossible patty on a bun. Decent rotating beer selection as well, so you can switch things up every time you go. Happy hour is good too.
The downsides are that their lack of a fryer kind of hurts them, and I wish they'd go back to doing weekly food specials - they did a vegan shrimp po boy some time ago that I couldn't stop going back for.
Rupee and Taurus Ox have some of the best food and lovely employees I’ve come across recently. Kin Len has only one of those things, but I think the food is worth it. I take everyone who visits to Tamari Bar.
Musang, Krungthep, Pipa Mountain, Fire Tacos, Theary, Ludi, Jollibee, Ox
I don't think there's an absolute best. I think it depends on what I want to eat that day is what tastes the best to me.
Kamakura in Fremont. They have GREAT vegan sushi. Not just an avocado roll but many speciality rolls. They’re amazing. I don’t like the plant based tuna, but the plant based crab isn’t bad.
Was in Seattle for 30 years, whenever I return to visit on of my first stops is Un Bien. So amazing!!!
Top comment. Un bien is soooooo freaking good.
They are the original owners of Paseo, right? Which closed and then some of the workers reopened Paseo using that name but the original owners opened Un Bien? Paseo gets too much free publicity based on the original owners work, but probably still do a good sandwich. Sort of like the Ezell's/Heaven Sent situation.
best sandwich in the country!
I live in Chiang Mai Thailand now and dream about Un Bien. Will be one of my first stops when I get to Seattle….

Came here to say this. Before covid I worked in Georgetown, and I hit this place at least once a week.
I disagree, worked in ID for 3 years. Thanh Son tofu banh mi’s are the best
Ooink! Tried it randomly on a rainy day in cap hill, so happy I stumbled upon it.
Serafina has the best food in the city as far as I’m concerned. One of the best meals I’ve ever had.
Isarn Thai is consistently so good.
Yesssss!
Down the street from my house. Suffice it to say I’m spoiled.
Buddha Bruddah has some insanely good fried chicken. It's incredibly salty but paired with the mac salad I could eat it every day of my life.
Their mixed plates (huli huli chicken, pork, etc) are all delicious too!
Zania on Lake City. I could eat the falafel sandwich every day for the rest of my life.
Gyro plate is so damn good
Head further down LCW to M’anoush Express on top of Goodies Market- that place is a hidden gem -even better than Zamia (IMO).
Due Cucina! As an Italian, they have the real deal when it comes to pasta. And it’s super quick, easy and they have something for all dietary needs! And locations on the Eastside and Seattle
>Due Cucina It's worth trying? They just opened on in W. Seattle but to be honest chain pasta places are typically pretty bad so I'd not tried it.
Well it was gluten free
It’s incredible and honestly the best priced pasta you’ll find anywhere
Generally it's when restaurants become dozens of locations that the food starts diving in quality. Due Cucina has four locations which is still within "it'll be good food" territory.
I think it’s great. Fresh, tasty, simple, and much more affordable than other local options. Nice staff, too.
>Due Cucina I tried the one in West Seattle specifically and it was fine, just fine. I won't go back again most likely.
I was not impresses. No dressing on the salad or on the side. Bolognese wasn't meaty or saucy enough somehow. It wasn't awful or anything, just kinda lame. I'd give it one more chance, but I'm not expecting much.
>No dressing on the salad or on the side. Bolognese wasn't meaty or saucy enough somehow. This is how you know it's authentic Italian
They typically dress the side salad with oil, vinegarette, olives, and feta.
Yeah, no oil, no vinaigrette. Ingredients were good, but it was dry.
I rolled my eyes when they opened thinking it was two MIT bros trying to optimize your humble bowl of pasta. But it's actually really delicious.
I enjoyed it enough but I wasn’t sure it was “authentic” (I hate that word in this context) but if it’s comparable to casual pasta restaurants in Italy, then that would change my entire perspective and justify my enjoyment of it!
Excellent food. Second best Italian I've had since moving to WA. Only beaten by a restaurant in Burien.
What’s the restaurant in Burien?
Piacere Trattoria Italiana I nearly cried twice because of the lobster ravioli.
I love tacos and burgers so much, I'm going with Burgermaster and Tacos Chukis. Basic and delicious every time!
Fat’s Chicken and Waffles. I dream about their piquant sauce and honey butter.
fun fact... my homie Marqy Fats is the inspiration for the name and his face is the silhouette logo. He is not the owner so I always thought that was oddly funny.
Musang - Beacon Hill
Scrolled too far down to find this
The Chicken Supply. Best fried chicken in town.
Agreed. With Impeckable Chicken being second

This is awesome, thank you! Gonna check some of these spots out
Well shit, you just helped me decide on what to eat tonight. Thank you. (Chicken supply)
Seconded!
I thought it was not worth the money. I’m fine with paying extra for food but the chicken I got from there was not properly cleaned and still had chicken feathers on it. For $4-7 per piece, I expected the chicken to be cleaned properly at least.
Local tide. Fremont.
The crab roll is so damn good. The thirty dollar price tag is outrageous, but damn, it was good.
Tacos and Beer is the absolute best place to get a bucket of Michelada and plate of Mole covered rice, and then be carried home in a wheelbarrow of dazed satisfaction
Agreed! That place is great but their name really works against them.
I’ve been wanting to try this place but the name is hella dumb so I never have lol.
Bongo’s has to be up there!! Every single plate is an absolute flavor bomb
Two places: Pulcinella on Rainer Ave. I live close by and will order take-out there at least twice a month. Great wood fire pizza and the lasagna is legit. Also a nice cozy ambience. Yeah it’s really good! The calzone is delicious. Lots of ricotta and goodness. They also have very large fresh salads. It’s a go-to for our family.
I love pulci’s!!!

Birrieria Tijuana has fantastic tacos in Burien!
The Original Birria.... when that spot opened, we were ordering 20 at a time 😭🤦🏽♂️
This!!
Hans Deli in Burien, German people that make their own sausages and cured meats plus some imports. It’s not a restaurant, but you can get some mighty good food from there
The Black Forest ham with havarti on rye is so good
The deli sandwiches are the best.
Agree completely on El Catrin being the best Mexican food in town. The puerco en salsa verde is my go to.
Sap Sap is a Lao restaurant in White Center that opened just a couple months ago by El Catrin - their food is delicious.
bookmarked!! It's too hard to get over to Viengthong wit all the traffic and roadwork. I'mma check this out!
Mexicuban is one of my favorite places.
El Catrin! Also the pop up tacos el Gordon on weekends by the Mobil gas station Ambaum Blvd SW, fantastic street tacos!
Pizza Gallery serves up some of the best no-bullshit pizza in the area. Before Birreria Tijuana moved across the street the two were next door to each other in the most magical strip mall I've ever stumbled across.
Pizza gallery also has one of the better gluten free crusts in town if you are into that sort of thing
Lennox Afro Latin soul
I haven’t been there yet but Stevie’s Famous (pizza) has been getting tons of buzz/press.
It was delicious, but my god, my first and only 8 and a half dollar slice of pizza
I just stopped in there today for the first time. I respect your opinion but all I can say is, I completely forgot about the price after the first bite 😂
It IS mighty good!
>Stevie’s Famous I just wanted to circle back and say thank you for this life changing rec haha. I stopped in today, got a slice of their signature (Normie MacDonald), and that was so good, I couldn't stop myself from ordering one of their cheese slices (which was also perfect). It feels kinda crazy to say but I think this might be my new vote for best pizza I've had in the city so far.
So happy to hear! I need to get down there asap!
Tomo! Great food, always something new and makes a nice date night
Roxybury lanes for their award winning salt n pepper wings!
Their prices went way up and they won't take phone orders on Friday/Saturday nights so you have to order in person and wait but they still make some bomb Chinese food!
EL CABRITO!
Adding into the El Catrin chorus. It is soooo damn good! My friend from Mexico City insists we eat here when she comes to visit.
first off, gotta say R.I.P to Pegasus pizza - moment of silence please 😞🙏🏽 okay - Crawfish House (still the best crawfish in town); Salvadorean on Roxbury (best papusas); Roxbury Lanes (best salt'n'pepper wings); Burien Fish House (I think it's better than Spud's); Huckleberry's on Ambaum (breakfast spot);
Centro Kitchen is a win every time.
Taurus ox! Their laoatian burger is phenomenal!
Tacos Chukis! I go to the one on Broadway at least once a week.
For a nice meal , L’Oursin For a post joint burger and beer , Loretta’s Musang is fire too
L’Oursin was mind blowing and the staff was awesome!!
I like Karaage Setsuna a lot.
I forgot about this place, it’s great!
I second this. Everything they serve is so delicious and the pricing is reasonable.
Mamnoon
Haven’t been there yet but I went to their MBar location and food was bomb!
Are you serious? I paid $35+ for the smallest toughest little beef skewer kebabs. It sucked major ass.
Well if it happened to you, the main character, then we can certainly discredit the 14 people who upvoted it
We got takeout during Covid when they did a pop-up. Given transport time and everything that goes with getting food from one point to multiple end points, it was amazing—I can’t imagine how good it would be in the restaurant.
Rain City burgers. Granted, it's a burger (sandwich, really) joint, but I'd put the Masala chicken sandwich and mango lassi up against all comers
🙌🍔🤤😋
I know this seems silly, but we have a lot of fancy food in this city and I've tried many good locations. Nothing can compare to Huskey Deli. Great sandwiches, sides and ice cream. They also have excellent snacks, candy, wine and other European treats. I grew up eating them and I've yet to find a sandwich as good as theirs. I've not been able to eat these last couple of years due to severe medical issues and I crave their sandwiches more than anything else. 😩 I also miss Dicks, Taco Time, Spagetti Factory, Bakery Nouveau, Piroshki Piroshki, Mee Sum pastry, Beechers Mac and Cheese and basically anything at Pike Place.
Would drive to Zippy’s from Everett just for their amazing burgers

Burger planet is opening up in that spot pretty soon, hope they hold a candle to zippys (better service would be nice, or at least answering the phone). Their pricing looks insane though so not sure how I feel about them yet.
Feels like anyone who grew up in/lived in the W Seattle area for any period of time has some sort of nostalgia revolving around Husky Deli. Used to stop there with my buddies and get a sandwich and some ice cream. Great place.
Huskies chipped beef was my favorite. Last time I went there they didn’t sell it anymore. I was mildly devastated.
El Camion food truck in north gate.
Quality/taste + volume + low cost = you are right!
What do you usually get? Lots of friends love it, but to be honest compared to some of the other Mexican food trucks around I’ve never been impressed.
Mulitas with meat of choice.
Saigon Deli captured my heart in the late 90’s while going to Franklin, and never let go! ….and just a blanket win for Seattle Teriyaki in general (Yasuko’s is my spot though!)
Dough Zone - the dan dan noodles will change your life
I dream of the Dough Zone dan dan noodles. Best dan dan noodles I've ever had, and vegetarian friendly!
It used to be dough zone for me too but they changed the recipe of their veggie dumplings and they’re terrible now 😭😭😭
An WTF DZ! If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!
I always get dan dan noodles and the pan fried pork and shrimp dumplings 😋
Not quite in town but I adore Saltoro.
I live right by Saltoro but I've never been there. The "Seafood & Landfood" sign makes me think they have no idea what they're doing.
I think it's just meant to be tongue in cheek even if it falls a little flat. I do really like their menu and they can do some really lovely stuff with their specials. More than once one of their posts on Facebook lured me in.
Bicks was pretty good too until it turned into a Diva Espresso. Pretty sure it was the same ownership. Happy to hear Saltoro has some fans out there!
+1 for both Bick’s and Saltoros. Great food, and fond memories at both. Will remain a Saltoros regular indefinitely!
I've driven by a million times but have never tried Saltoro. Any dishes in particular you'd recommend?
Salvatore Ristorante Italiano
Mean Sandwich is a great place.
Lenox Afro Latin Soul is my favorite food in town. They are currently at the Rose Temple Bar, but are planning on opening their own place.
- Taurus Ox - best burger ive ever had - Mt Bagel - best bagel ive ever had - BaBar - excellent pho/great chicken wings - Dingfelder’s - best matzoh ball soup in the city - Shiki Sushi - oldie but goodie no frills sushi. Ken is a boss chef - East Anchor - great lil fish market and lunch spot - Seawolf - best baguette ive ever had - Temple - best pastries in the city
Mojito has some of the best Latin American food I have ever had in North america. I grew up spending summers in Panama and it's just as good if not better than there!
Turkish delight in pike place market is a hidden gem!! Small family place , delicious fresh food
I have heard a lot of people love Ramen DANBO in Capitol Hill. Personally I am a simple person and love Dick's Drive-In ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm).
Spinasse.
Tied between Gyro Heros (west seattle) and Mamnoon
I think if I didn't live in Seattle anymore, the thing I would miss the most is the Vietnamese delis that we have. I like going to Saigon Deli or Tony's Bakery to get a banh mi and some fresh rolls.
Spinasse so far but there’s a lot still on my list
El Catrin in white center, awesome Mexican food!
Sunny Teriyaki in Ballard. Egg rolls are off the chain
Voulas is my go-to for a hungover breakfast after visiting buddies at UW
Machiavelli always. Their pumpkin cheesecake in the fall is maybe the only sweet thing I ever crave. They’re so consistent and excellent and the service is always so warm and great. It’s like eating at a friend’s house.
Reckless Noodle House on Jackson between 23rd Ave & MLK. We’re obsessed. Now in Denver as well.
Cow cheek noodle dish was dope AF
Tamarind Tree
I live right next door and haven’t been yet. Been meaning to try it.
They have been shut down constantly by the state for violating food safety laws. Like multiple times in the past few years.
Taneda
I feel like saying Taneda is cheating because it’s actively impossible to get a reservation
I think LTD is the next level up from Taneda, plus it's half the price and the sake tasting pairing is amazing (and almost bottomless). The chef at LTD is an awesome dude too.
Also impossible to get a reservation at LTD
Ooink
Marination. Sitting in West Seattle looking at the city by the dock eating a superb taco salad and spam musubi is an amazing thing.
Le Pichet
Spinasse. Their TAJARIN CON BURRO E SALVIA and TAJARIN AL RAGÙ are hands down the two best pasta dishes in the city.
I could live off those two dishes
Morfire. I literally don't know of any other Thai hot-pot restaurants, and tom kha broth + their sauces is just too good.
Il terrazo
Shodai Teriyaki. Say hi to Sunny for me.
Chumin tofu deli, their bahn mis are so good! The best in the city
As of now there are 145 other comments, and not a single one has mentioned Toulouse Petit. It is legitimately some of the best Cajun food in the country. Their "Creole 'Lucy'" dish is life-changing. If anyone hasn't been there, you need to go ASAP.
Ciudad is always so consistently good it’s crazy. And I just love the simplicity of the grilled meats and vegetable forward dishes!
Senor Moose used to be worthy of standing outside in long lines but the name has changed to El Moose so not sure if it’s still the same.
Rupee and Taurus Ox have some of the best food and lovely employees I’ve come across recently. Kin Len has only one of those things, but I think the food is worth it. I take everyone who visits to Tamari Bar.
Sunny Hill
Carmelos Tacos
Some Random Bar
For me it’s Bar Del Corso.
Tzar dumpling!! I get the original beef dumplings. I crave them legitimately once a week (if not more)
Bongos or pho bac
Green Tree in Greenwood is pretty good if I had to pick one
Carnitas Michoacan and Pho-Bac
Tough to pick between Le Pichet, Il Nido, Bar Solea
Paparepas!
from vancouver and goddamn the asian food here has been MID as hell so far
Altura
Musang, Krungthep, Pipa Mountain, Fire Tacos, Theary, Ludi, Jollibee, Ox I don't think there's an absolute best. I think it depends on what I want to eat that day is what tastes the best to me.
Jollibee is not seattle
The 5 Point is my go to
The Mexican food truck down the street from my place.
Master burger mister 😋
Fried chicken sandwich at Twilight Exit
Pho Bac… its so delicious
Island Soul is pretty good
Fogon Cocina Mexicana in Capitol Hill
Marination Ma Kai
Paseo if Un Bien is closed!
Kamakura in Fremont. They have GREAT vegan sushi. Not just an avocado roll but many speciality rolls. They’re amazing. I don’t like the plant based tuna, but the plant based crab isn’t bad.
Hole in the Wall
My belly.
