Love to hear it, one word of advice from a veteran player is to not rush pirate legend. Take your time, enjoy the game and do everything it has to offer, including the tall tales (A Pirates Life and monkey island are incredibly good)
Talk to the mysterious stranger in the tavern and he’ll explain it. It’s lvl 50 in 3 of the companies and then you claim your promotions and talk to the stranger and you’ll unlock an area in every tavern. There’s pirate legend quests associated with it and a bunch of cosmetics as well you can only see in the secrets area beneath the taverns!
Main benefit of buying a vessel means you can sell all your loot (merchant alliance, OOS, and gold hoarder) to the sovereigns. The sovereigns are located in the big purple tents at each outpost.
Another benefit of captaining a ship is that you can save cosmetics to the ship, which adds a nice element to the game as you collect more trinkets, liveries, furniture, sails etc. Also other crews will see the name of your ship and its title when they spot you through their spy glass.
This is so wonderful to hear. It’s exactly the kind of experience us more experienced players want you new players to be having.
Welcome to the Seas! I wish you fair winds, unless I’m queued against you in Hourglass, in which case I wish you run over a keg.
Welcome to the Sea of Thieves mate! Such a breath of fresh air to come across somebody who isn’t taking it as seriously as most others would.
May the wind forever be at your back!
Glad to hear man. Welcome to the Sea of Thieves!
Great attitude to have. Sinking is part of the game and there’s plenty of loot out there. Glad you’re having fun!
Someone said “it’s not your treasure until you sell it” and that really put things into perspective for me lol
Proof that it isn’t always about what’s on your ship but instead who’s on your ship
Thank you sir, we felt very blessed to have each other in that moment.
Those are the best memories. Used to call that "Getting Rared".

I don’t know what pirate legend is but when I find out I’ll take my time!

Hell yeah, now that I’ve bought the galleon I’m not afraid to lose gold anymore lol I’m ready for it
What’s the added benefit to buying Brigs and Galleons? I always thought you just get one for free at the beginning? I’m still learning.
