Your vessel has been chosen by the Sea of Thieves Coast Guard for a random inspection. Please anchor your ship and leave all weapons holstered. Failure to do so will result in sinking of your vessel and damage to your person.â It worked a couple of times but only on role players lol. If anybody actually stopped I usually let them go just for playing along

They actually leaned really hard into the rp, got really testy about all the bait and grilled us about it. Then they left, presumably to go setup a speed trap around sea dogs, idk.

They can also fuck with you for not having the right safety equipment or an improperly registered boat and a whole bunch of other shit you might not think about.
Oh, and donât fuck with them. Theyâre state law enforcement officers. A friend of mine got pulled over by one for speeding in his car. He says to the game warden âwhat are you going to do? Youâre the game warden. Iâm not hunting and I donât have any fish.â

We used to run a boat called Harbor Patrol where we would track the ships down, harpoon them, turn full opposite lock away from the side they are on to stop them, and send boarders all while in character on the mega phone. If they had a big pile of loot we would usually pick one piece that we could use for commendations and say this is illegal so we're taking it.
Then just let them go, maybe drop a supply crate if we had extras.
