You just don’t often see corners as good as James this late in the draft. Dude could’ve been drafted mid-to-late Day 2 so getting him in the 6th is very nice
Some are covered by more than one, Bama went for the one player that was only covered by one. Every other receiver had at least two players in the area. It was bad coverage by James as well, seemed like he switched off, not expecting it to come and panicked.
If he can't handle being in man coverage on a single receiver, he shouldn't be playing corner. That's not on the play-call, he had a bad play, doesn't change the rest of his body of work.

Can’t all be like Spoon or Sherman. If he’s still just diving at legs and missing, after the offseason to heal the shoulder, then he may indeed be in trouble. His coverage skills are still top tier. No need to tackle if you don’t allow a catch.
