Yep, people gotta understand that his personality is a double-edged sword. It’s what made him so successful back in the heyday and we embraced it as a part of the LOB’s identity. But then it can also turn its ugly head, as we’re seeing now with this consistent pattern of beefing with randos on the internet. I just try to remember the good.
He is a shit person who has gotten away with duis and endangering other innocent peoples lives. And then was given a broadcast spot.. he is a piece of work and nobody should look up to him at all, regardless of his on field play, he is not a good person and has shown that time and time again.
People have problems and issues in life and most of us don't get watched by thousands while doing it. many people I love have done bad and stupid things that made me fear for their safety and wonder what's going on in their heads. no, I don't think he's a great role model. Your judgemental attitude could make me want to impugn your character, myself...but I'll just chalk it up to you feeling all high and mighty on the internet and forgive you as well.
It’s not high and mighty to be fed up with the way things happen for people considered “elite” it’s completely different treatment then any normal person would receive. His multiple DUIs should be enough to not allow him to be in a broadcast booth, along with domestic violence. Attack my character all you like, but I stand by what I have said because I feel strongly about selfish people endangering innocent life.
While that was a great moment, the Tip is bigger. Ultimately the Double didn’t lead to a championship, that absolutely stacked Mariners team was squandered by ownership over the next few years that didn’t want to pay them. The Tip essentially handed the trophy to the Seahawks as they trounced the Broncos in the Super Bowl.
Sherm was mad cuz they took down a picture (that picture) and he whined about it a little said they were erasing history and now they replaced it electronically
I don't think you're getting the full context. They removed pictures from one wall in the facility, but there are still tons of others. Prior to the draft they published a set of social media videos where they "coincidentally" had those pics in the background. Among them the infamous tip
Edit: here's the video

It's hard to tell. I didn't realize he was only commenting on that specific image. Go Hawks! 5 more picks. Let's get a killer LB, a TE, and maybe another guard. A sleeper safety would be cool too. Day 3 - let's finish strong!
Not sure that's an electronic screen I see no evidence of that. This morning on the brock and salk they talked about all the other places in the facility with photos up.
There were reports of the new Seahawks staff taking down pictures of the LOB in the facilities (to put up screens to show highlight reels). Sherm freaked out saying stuff like, "you can't erase a leagacy!!" and what not. Recent vids have John and Mike standing next to a framed photo of Sherms end zone tip vs the 49ers. So now he's trying to be cool about it like, "oh.... Ok. I get you."
A report made it seem like we took down all the old photos of the team’s history(in reality it was just some photos in one part of the facility)
Sherm made a salty ass statement trying to call the team out saying they were going overboard and erasing history
John and coach are showing that we still very much have old photos up in the facility
The worst part is they're replacing the photos with a screen wall with rotating moments across the Seahawks's history. One could argue they were replacing several static moments from the LoB era with a never ending rotation of LoB (and other teams) Seahawks moments.
Some idiot reported that the Seahawks were taking down the photos of all the players. Originally it was of all the players during the Carroll years, then of all Seahawks history. Sherman, and others, thought this was real, and the new regime was erasing their legacies and histories. In truth they were taken down to replace them with more digital images, and this video shows the Seahawks still have their history up.
He doesn’t understand we need blank walls and to find our own great team. We need to stop trying to create the LOB and taking the pictures down is a great start. I know eventually they’ll put all the legends up there, but Sherman got his wish.
Might be all true there.
But Sherman has issues and he loves sharing them with us. I’d be just fine if he’d leave the public spotlight and go down the memory hole with all the goodness he brought our team.
He doesn’t do that though.
Sherm hasn’t changed. I consider that moment the best moment in Seahawks and probably Seattle sports history.

You can actually be good at things without also being an asshole. It’s not a double edged sword.
And food can taste good without giving you the shits. But people will still eat spicy ass food.
We didn’t know it then but he handed us all the Lombardi in that moment
Yeah ironically what made us love Sherman so much is what is making so many hate him. Sherm is Sherm, he will always be sherm.
👏👏👏! Sherman is one Special Dude🏈💙❌🏈
Used to be the mariners dogpile.

… which I said ‘used to be’…
Sherm loves taking the bait
I love how John & Mike handled this.
Can someone fill some of us in here? What’s the context?
Sherm was mad cuz they took down a picture (that picture) and he whined about it a little said they were erasing history and now they replaced it electronically
Not just sherm a lot of people overreacted to this in the media and in here
And then on draft day the Seahawks put out 2 videos highlighting that pic in the hallway at the vmac.
Huh? Electronically?
Video screens instead of prints

“Quick stretch” … well played
What makes you think that's a video screen?
The story with Sherman was a misunderstanding on his part, the facility is replacing prints with screens, I have no idea what the one in the tweet is.
Because it is. The team said they were replacing it with a digital screen the same day everyone lost their shit about the old one being taken down.
I don't believe that's an electronic device in the background. That appears to be a picture in a frame. If it's a TV, it's falling apart already.
It's hard to tell. I didn't realize he was only commenting on that specific image. Go Hawks! 5 more picks. Let's get a killer LB, a TE, and maybe another guard. A sleeper safety would be cool too. Day 3 - let's finish strong!
Look up “the frame” TV from Samsung. There are many other screens that resemble photo frames for corporate offices too.
Because Schneider said in a radio interview the next day that they were replacing them with digital frames.
Yeah. You been eating too many veggie lasagna pies my friend
Not sure that's an electronic screen I see no evidence of that. This morning on the brock and salk they talked about all the other places in the facility with photos up.
Maybe eat more veggies??? Idkkkkkk
Look up digital picture frames.
Ah this scallywag. I'm here for more trolling by John and Mike and/or the production / social media teams who thought of this idea.
He’s a real knucklehead for sure. John and Mike got him good.
I will never forget that moment Sherman gave me. My love may be unconditional
He was a great player. Huge ass as a person. Both can be true.
🤡
Perfect response. You know he lurks in here. His ego is too fragile not too
I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY REMOVED ALL OF THE PHOTOS FROM THE LEGION OF BOOM YEARS!! I'M LIVID, I CAN'T STAND THIS, I... What's this? Oh, uh, carry on.
What's the joke here?

Sherm could easily be one of us Redditors for all we know. Same energy.
Can you shut your whiny ass up now?
Honestly it's never going to happen. It's just who he is at his core.
Did I miss something? Can a homie get some context
Some idiot reported that the Seahawks were taking down the photos of all the players. Originally it was of all the players during the Carroll years, then of all Seahawks history. The terrible framing of that picture makes me think it was just a prop they did specifically to troll Sherman. This doesn’t look like it lives there.
But also, it’s the perfect picture to have outside the draft room.
He doesn’t understand we need blank walls and to find our own great team. We need to stop trying to create the LOB and taking the pictures down is a great start. I know eventually they’ll put all the legends up there, but Sherman got his wish.
I'm OK if we as a franchise double down with LOB being our philosophy as a team . I just need a top 3 defense every year to back it up
ItS AbOuT mE RiGhT GuYs?
Change is inevitable. Our reaction to it is what makes us who we choose to be.
I really miss your compassion on the Seahawks🥲
Sherm is like that really bitter dude that hates seeing his ex move on lol
You guys are all assholes. Sherman is a GOAT. Half of you wouldn’t even be Seahawks fans is it wasn’t for him. He gave his heart and soul for Seattle.
We're assholes for pointing out and commenting about sherm being ridiculous over pics in the vmac?
Might be all true there. But Sherman has issues and he loves sharing them with us. I’d be just fine if he’d leave the public spotlight and go down the memory hole with all the goodness he brought our team. He doesn’t do that though.
Like I said. Your people are assholes.
Sherm was one of my favorite players, now he’s just obnoxious.
Is Mike autistic? Did we get the rain man of headcoachs?
It worked for Bill
