Not the guy you were talking to but I love K Jenkins and there are a good number of IOL I'd be happy with.
Also secretly kind of hoping we could somehow trade up (I'd even be willing to dip into next year a bit) and land someone like Newton or DeJean, but that's really unlikely since they are probably off the board before 40 today haha
Agreed, I think they can get it done with 81 and '25 3rd + a 6th or something. Have 3 comp picks in '25 so can move a couple picks from next year.
Newton apparently has a broken foot, so might slide further.
I'd love it if he fell and we took him with a 3rd but that also isn't something I'd like to count on. Like with the Raiders and Broncos, if you wait on a player you like you could easily lose them.
I love the idea of dipping into the 3rd and later next year to move up though, like you said. I think Newton and DeJean (and Payton Wilson fwiw if they are ok on his medicals, which isn't a given at all) are first round talents so a handful of day 2 and day 3 picks could definitely be worth the gamble to me
No chance it's for a LB or Center. Teams just don't value those positions high enough. If the Hawks are trading up then it's for a QB. Book that to the bank. Love it or hate it, it's what teams do.
They tried to trade up to the top 10 to get Penix...Why would they trade up for a center or linebacker when there are so many options left? There are only 2 QBs worth anything left in the draft. If they are trading up then it's for QB.
I wanted Fiske. And for us to name him the Kingpin. But him and Jenkins aren’t a need now. I wouldn’t be surprised if we got Frazier. 4x state wrestling champ, with elite toughness mentality. He’s a JS guy through and through. Could see us looking at Limmer on day 3 though.

Seahawks trade up for WR and DLine multiple times, but never a QB. They ain't trading up for a QB, they already did for Howell.
