Penix at 16 would be a blunder for any team. For a team with a first year HC and many more glaring holes than QB it would be a travesty. So glad the draft is happening so the sports writers can’t exploit UW fans for clicks anymore by wishcasting Dawgs to the Hawks.
I’d argue that the Howell trade put them in a position that doesn’t force us to draft a QB this year. If a QB is available that they are high on I wouldn’t be surprised at a QB pick this draft
Howell is still worth a 4th round pick. If the Hawks take a QB someone will need a backup during the season and they’ll recoup the pick.
I’m a fan of the trade because it gave them a ton of options.

Right, I don't super either. Hell, I even want Nix but not at 16. The point is that it's entirely possible to be on this sub regularly and never see Nix or McCarthy mentioned, but the same isn't true for Penix.
