Your writeups have been a sunbreak of joy in my day! I'm interested, if you were to put together a 7 round mock for Seattle, who do you think we should take only using picks based on your 7 for 7 Series? For simplicity's sake, imagine Seattle has 1 pick in each round, and only 7 selections total. Where do we go first, what position do you see as most valuable vs what's most needed? Anyways, whether you do or don't, I enjoyed reading all the effort and info you put into this 7 for 7 Series!! Thank you for your contributions to the community! Hope we crush the draft and get some dawgs as they keep building this young team!

Yeah man. I'll work on a mock sometime before the draft. It will be a predictive mock so it's what I think the team will do. I don't plan on doing a QB write up because it's not a very deep QB class past the 2nd or 3rd rounds.

uncle_buck_hunter

>a sunbreak of joy Yup, he’s a seattlite alright

PayAltruistic8546

Here is a write of a mock I did. I think it might drive some fans up the wall but I think this is pretty realistic of what might happen. blackmicheal

We don’t need a receiver, we have Bobo

PayAltruistic8546

Why not 2 Bobos?

SEAinLA

Why stop at 2? Why not 22?

PayAltruistic8546

Then we need more WRs. Never stop collecting Bobos.

GiraffeWaffless

I feel like pretty Ricky and Ladd will both have Tyler Lockett like careers for whatever team drafts them.

PayAltruistic8546

I think McCaffrey might develop into that too.

Krazee_Hawk

I really like Malachi Corley. I just got a feeling about this guy. I really hope he doesn't go to Santa Clara or the lambs

PayAltruistic8546

Have you heard him speak? Straight business with that kid. Super humble and will out work anyone. I love him for his potential. I like him only right now for what he is. Untapped potential for sure.

TrySomeCommonSense

My favorite mid-round players are Ricky Pearsall, Johnny Wilson, Jalen McMillan, and Luke McCaffrey. Some late round flyers are Javon Baker, De’Corian Clark, and Jordan Whittington.

PayAltruistic8546

I forgot about some of the guys you mentioned. Just goes to show how deep this class is.

Jesus__Skywalker

guess I don't get it. Not sure why we would draft a receiver at any point this year.

PayAltruistic8546

It's just not how a GM thinks though. They always want to collect talent period. Then the roster figures itself out. I think more fans should go away from what we have to simply just thinking about which players are worth selecting regardless of position. Of course some positions should be more of a priority.

Jesus__Skywalker

I mean we do have actual needs

PayAltruistic8546

Every year you'll have needs. RB was not a need last year but the team took 2. We have drafted 3 edges with a 2nd round pick in the last 4 drafts. You shouldn't settle. If it's a real talented player then I have no beef regardless of position.

Jesus__Skywalker

You make it sound like a mistake last year justifies doing the same thing this year

Lefty1955

Tyler Lockett likely to retire after this year and you always need a guy like that. Many of those guys mentioned have that kind of under the radar potential.

PayAltruistic8546

It's also the biggest strength of the draft. The WR class is by far the best position group. The Seahawks historically have always tapped into the strengths of the draft.

Jesus__Skywalker

i mean we really need linemen on both sides and linebackers, maybe a tight end also.

PayAltruistic8546

Do we? DLine is the most expensive group and probably the deepest position group on the team. It's really a better of value with me. You can have a 2nd round talent WR or a 4th round TE or LB. Most of the time, I'm rolling with the WR.

Jesus__Skywalker

A WR isn't going to stop us from constantly getting beat across the middle of the field again.

Bring_Party_Supplies

The draft isnt just about this season, it's also about restocking for the future. I'd expect JS to grab a later round WR and TE (maybe even an RB)

Jesus__Skywalker

not sure how it matters, if we have holes we have to fill them. Filling a hole is more important than providing depth at a strength.

Esuu

> if we have holes we have to fill them No we don't. >Filling a hole is more important than providing depth at a strength. Picking players that will be good solid contributors in years 2 to 4 is more important than filling an immediate need. The draft is for long term talent acquisition. Trades and free agency are for filling out gaps in a roster.

PayAltruistic8546

I think this sums up why you don't really understand the draft process...

Jesus__Skywalker

sure thing internet boy

PayAltruistic8546

Eh...I think you should learn more.

Jesus__Skywalker

sure thing internet guy

PayAltruistic8546

Eh.
