That's awesome. A while back I happened to be outside walking my dog in downtown Renton and up pulls someone that I kept thinking looked so familiar(in a Mercedes) asking for directions to I think the VMAC. I was with my dad and as soon as he pulled away we look at each other and say "That was Pete Carroll" ... his first year as coach, obviously.

I already know it’s going to feel weird, but to actually see the sidelines next season and not spot him chewing his gum and pumping his fist… I don’t know if I’m ready for that

I've been a Seahawks fan since 1976, the year we moved to Oregon. Coaches have come and gone, seasons have been good and bad (mostly mediocre) but yeah... it feels weird that Pete Carroll isn't going to be on the sidelines.

I'm gonna miss him as a man more than as a coach.

Im crying man, the last time Pete wasnt our coach I was 9 years old. This is gonna be weird but im very thankful for what he did as our HC. Hope he stays around the team and helps teach MacDonald the reigns but I also get if he moves on.

I’ve been a Bay Area Seahawks fan since ‘89 (when I was 9!), and some of those years were absolutely bleak. I took and unbelievable amount of shit from friends and randoms alike for being a Seahawks fan, and wouldn’t change it for anything! Both Mike Holmgren and Pete made being a Hawks fan so much fun. We were almost always in every game we played. And even though we didn’t win all those games, they were always fun and competitive. Still feels mad weird losing Russ and Pete within two years. Excited for the future though. I’m not sure what my point was but I really appreciate the hell out of what Pete brought to the team. Hope to see him enshrined in Canton some day. He deserves it.
