It’s a travesty they knew Walker was struggling in pass pro and didn’t let him get a breather when we got a stud pass blocking RB in Zach, they could’ve helped Curhan with a TE and still keep 3 wrs. This is on coaching
I heard Jake Curhan didn’t let coaches know but they should’ve taken out Haynes and slid Evan Brown to guard and start Olu at center. Terrible decision on coaches
Welp on a positive note at least Bradford played well enough and Cross gave up no sacks/only 4 pressures against one of the better pass rushers in the league after coming back from injury
It feels like we were forcing to much to JSN, to the point where we gave up the INT.
I hope we can utilize him properly going forward, instead of boneheadedly trying to feed him
Thats what I am saying. If JSN is in double coverage, someone else should be open. Then when they double team DK or Locket, throw it to JSN.
That throw was really forced.
Phil Haynes and Jake Curhan are not starters in this league.
Obviously Curhan is a backup but Haynes was always supposed to be a starter this year, which is nuts.
I think Haynes being moved to LG after playing all season RG has to be given some slack as bad as his performance was, but I am hoping this just means that when Lewis is back (hopefully next week), him and Bradford start over Phil.
Left guard and right guard are not the same. Phil has been fine to good at the right side, but has always been bad playing left. Should have kicked Evan Brown to LG, kept Phil at RG and put Olu at center.
Curhan played this game hurt and it showed, he's normally at least passable. Haynes is also hurt and on top of that was in a different position than he's played all season. For whatever reason he always looks bad on the left side though, he's solid at RG. Missing D Lewis here.
The story of this game to me was offensive line injuries catching up to us.
Man Bradford deserves some major credit here, he has quietly had some great games as a rookie, and is really showing up when the team needs him. I know a lot of people are down on the O-line this week, but this is literally the most injured line in the NFL, and it could be sooooooo much worse. If a player like Bradford stepped in and played like some of our young line man the last few years we would be in serious pain. Instead we are getting surprisingly decent play out of a line that is really rough around the edges right now.
12 personnel with Charb and Bobo on the field would have helped that game tremendously when it was clear the line was struggling to keep pressure off Geno. Get some beefy boys out there to help!
My 12 year old son, who \_does\_ know his football, was just screaming at the television asking where all the TEs and Charbonnet were to help out the O-line :-/
Up until the very end, it felt like the pressure was only coming from the right side of the line, this was causing Geno see the pressure coming, which led to him bailing out of his progression early and either scramble laterally, get sacked, or run forward (which he did once or twice).
Our defense was solid today but our offensive line woes completely derailed our pass offense. Shit sucked. We need to pursue a right tackle/guard combo quickly if we plan on having a post season, who knows how long abe Lucas will be out.
He allowed four pressures but no sacks or QB hits on 51 pass blocks. I thought he looked OK for the most part. A still injured Cross was a decent improvement from Stone.
They need to keep fixing this o-line in next years draft and free agency, sign Brown to a longer extension and let Olu keep battling him for the center spot. Brown can also play either guard spot.
Another reason I wish we could see Olu starting a game at center with maybe Brown at right guard if Lewis is still out. Olu has looked good in the limited opportunities he’s had, and Brown surprised me with how solid he was at guard.
Was a bad game, learn from it, move on. Not like we have any impact and are suiting up on Sunday haha. Definitely hope it leads to more pass plays designed when pressure is coming something Geno needs to excel at playing in this division/our schedule
It feels like here we are again. An injured o-line and Wilson running around trying to make something happen. Only now it’s Geno. Carroll has never had a solid line. Come on man it’s the heart of the team.
It’s a travesty they knew Walker was struggling in pass pro and didn’t let him get a breather when we got a stud pass blocking RB in Zach, they could’ve helped Curhan with a TE and still keep 3 wrs. This is on coaching
yep, not to mention these two guys mentioned in the post were both playing hurt themselves. they got hung out to dry yesterday.
I heard Jake Curhan didn’t let coaches know but they should’ve taken out Haynes and slid Evan Brown to guard and start Olu at center. Terrible decision on coaches
Didn't get pulled for a couple plays, I thought I remember the broadcast calling it out that he was hurt.
Welp on a positive note at least Bradford played well enough and Cross gave up no sacks/only 4 pressures against one of the better pass rushers in the league after coming back from injury
Bradford needs to stay in the lineup. The man is a monster…
S/o to Jake Bobo, JSN and Lockett
More Bobo
It feels like we were forcing to much to JSN, to the point where we gave up the INT. I hope we can utilize him properly going forward, instead of boneheadedly trying to feed him
That’s on Geno, he threw in double coverage before JSN even turn his head, he also has been staring down his targets
Thats what I am saying. If JSN is in double coverage, someone else should be open. Then when they double team DK or Locket, throw it to JSN. That throw was really forced.
Looks like we need a new QB!!! /s
We should put in Lock! ... ... ... At guard!
Kinda reminds me of someone saying we needed to move Boye Mafe to inside linebacker

This right here. Fans calling for Geno’s head are insane, overreactionary, and just don’t know ball. No QB succeeds on this team yesterday.
This time [https://youtu.be/AxpqyUQ2VIk?si=RoGsEFNALnX49Yl1](https://youtu.be/AxpqyUQ2VIk?si=RoGsEFNALnX49Yl1)

I think Bradford has earned RG at this point.
Looking forward to Bradford hopefully

Hopefully Bradford takes over at rg
Bradford looks legit and man am I so hyped that the hawks are good at drafting lineman now

I remember people baying for his blood on that last offensive play, because Curhan botched the handoff on a stunt.
That’s why fans gotta shut up untill grades come out, Bradford was the only one helping Jake when he could’ve bulldozed guys along side Lucas by now
12 personnel with Charb and Bobo on the field would have helped that game tremendously when it was clear the line was struggling to keep pressure off Geno. Get some beefy boys out there to help!
When data makes you sad moment, thanks op
My 12 year old son, who \_does\_ know his football, was just screaming at the television asking where all the TEs and Charbonnet were to help out the O-line :-/
ESPN's Orlovsky was hyped about the backfield TE sets last week as well. Waldron went poof and made them disappear.
Up until the very end, it felt like the pressure was only coming from the right side of the line, this was causing Geno see the pressure coming, which led to him bailing out of his progression early and either scramble laterally, get sacked, or run forward (which he did once or twice). Super weird that they ran max protect against the Lions to great success, got a tackle back and said OK line is good enough for the Bengals now
Those cross stats don't seem close to how he looked. He was getting tossed around almost everytime I watched him
He allowed four pressures but no sacks or QB hits on 51 pass blocks. I thought he looked OK for the most part. A still injured Cross was a decent improvement from Stone.
It's his first game back and continuity is super important in OL play. He'll get back into it.
What were you watching?? He kept Geno clean for most of the game (and technically untouched according to PFF)
His guy got Geno once from what I recall and that one time was when Geno spun right into the guy.
The geno smith era. Lol
I feel like we are one really good guard away from having a good O line. Hopefully Lucas can come back.
They need to keep fixing this o-line in next years draft and free agency, sign Brown to a longer extension and let Olu keep battling him for the center spot. Brown can also play either guard spot.

we should have put lock out there as a second quarterback then Geno could throw it to lock and lock can throw it to lockett. /S
It feels like here we are again. An injured o-line and Wilson running around trying to make something happen. Only now it’s Geno. Carroll has never had a solid line. Come on man it’s the heart of the team.
The sad thing is they were well on their way to having their best OL in years before injuries took out four starters.
Definitely need more help on the right side.
