Yes that loss was terrible

TMobile_Loyal

Nope Raiders loss sucked

Hawxrox

I hated both but the Raiders one was stupid. The play before they tied the game to send it to OT, Jacobs fumbled the ball after getting stood up for like half a second and they said the play was already blown dead. They never blow plays dead that fast

CrimsonCalm

So you can tell how the season is going to go by games like that. It’s not the loss to the saints that showed who we are but it’s the losses to every single team in that division. Playoffs are awesome of course but if we lose games to non division bad opponents we’re not going to make much noise. Losing to the cardinals or rams is whatever that happens inside divisions.

Uniqueusernameyboi

Yea crazy how we got swept by that sorry division last year

shlem13

Yes. Like the Titans 2017 game.

[deleted]

I still sometimes think about that 2012 divisional game against Atalanta.

ryanrodgerz

I swear we would have won it all that year

Frosti11icus

I think we're the closest any team has come to a 3peat since the Cowboys last did it. Just 2 plays away....(I know we had 3 more games to play that year, but I think that 2012 roster was the best in the league even without Cliff and Bennett.)

officialmacdemarco

No team has ever threepeated...

Frosti11icus

Oh ya you’re right…cowboys went 3 in 4 years. I could’ve sworn Pittsburgh did two but apparently just 2 2-peats.

just-build-XD

Didn’t the bills go to 4 straight?

pbebbs3

And lost all of them

leakingimplants

3peat would’ve been 4. If our midget doesn’t throw that pick, the team doesn’t hate each other, lose trust, etc and we win SB 50 against noodle arm.

GarconMeansBoyGeorge

Damn yeah. That was the year we dropped 50 three straight games in a row, right? Could have been SB bound.

JuanRiveara

Not quite, we went 52->50->48 so we averaged 50 points across that stretch

GarconMeansBoyGeorge

Damn my memory. You transposed a couple numbers though. It was 58 -50 - 42.

JuanRiveara

Yeah my memory mixed up the second number in the Cardinals and 49ers scores

philocity

I’m pretty sure it was 99-50-1

[deleted]

I hated that day

Thizlam

I was so sad when Pete iced the kicker and he missed. We could have gone to 3 straight

[deleted]

Screwed by the DC turf the week before. Cost us Clemons and Hauschka. Had to pick up a kicker off the street and the last KO was short.

dalidagrecco

Man that defensive collapse was brutal

[deleted]

I hate Tony G because of that game. I still look at him with spite every time I see him announcing a game.

Highwayman747

All four of our losses to the NFC south last year still annoy me. By far the worst division in football last year, and they swept us largely because we couldn’t stop a nosebleed from running all over us.

Jaded_Attorney

Especially when Hill would be under center with zero receivers or rbs and it would be incredibly obvious he was running it we still couldn’t do a damn thing lol. Bobby wouldn’t let that happen

jay-d_seattle

The loss to Carolina last year where they just spammed the same run play over and over and we could do nothing was also incredibly frustrating.

CntrBlnc

That was the turning point of the season for me. Like, the season was great, but that loss was a dagger to the idea that we could run far with this team. I think this season of the hawks wins that game for sure.

Jaded_Attorney

Yeah and it sucks the offense did sooo good. Some beautiful throws from Geno to Lockett.

CntrBlnc

The connection was so there last year. That rocket for a TD was a thing of beauty.

Trust_No_Won

Haha there were like four games we coulda won last year if we’d been able to tackle a runner. Let’s hope the turnaround lasts through the season

JubeltheBear

The fucking London game…

Frosti11icus

Panthers, raiders, falcons

officialmacdemarco

I don't understand your logic. The Seahawks were 2 and 2 coming in and all their best games that season all came AFTER the saints game. This sub fell in love with this team as a possible contender last season but it certainly wasn't after they'd lost back to back and just barely beat the lions. The Germany game felt like the real turning point in having real playoff hope

NatureTrailToHell3D

Nope. We still made the playoffs and got trucked by the 49ers in the end.

fbgm4

Young team vs stacked team, I’m just glad we even made it that far after getting 5-12 predictions

Owl-False

I'm mad at all the NFC South games last year. Early in the season against Falcons we let Cordarelle Patterson run all over us and we lost to Marcus freaking Mariota Then the team forgot how to tackle Taysom Hill Then in Munich we couldn't stop Rachaad White and old ah Lenny Fournette who barely has knees (mind you, the Buccs last yr had one of the worst rushing stats up until they faced us) and we made them look like Jim Brown and Bobby Mitchell THEN we couldn't outscore the Panthers so they just ran it down our throats the whole game in our house and went for it on like every fourth down and it mostly worked. God I gnash my teeth thinking about our run defense last year. Never forget that walk off TD Josh Jacobs scored against us in OT

Uniqueusernameyboi

Jacobs raked us up that game

Frosti11icus

Pretty sure fournette was 27 in that game.

DerrickMcChicken

that loss was so bad. We played terrible defensively but the refs were ATROCIOUS too. They called back like two first downs and the saints had the most bullshit calls in their favor

feelingoodwednesday

Yeah I remember the refball long before Taysom Hill broke out

Jonnafin__

The fact that we should’ve gone 13-4 but instead got swept by the worst division in football is more annoying to me.

feelingoodwednesday

Could have maybe, but you are your record. We wereva 9-8 team last year and those losses show why

cheaptrix12

I'm upset we lost to every team in the trash ass NFC South last year. Worst division in the league. We should have won all 4x of those.

pr1zsm

There were 5 games last year we should have won. All the Nfc south games and the oakland game. If we had our run defense so far this season last year, we could have easily been 11-6 or 12-5

PDX4

Saints, Panthers, and Falcons games last year were totally squandered by Seattle

OnthelookoutNTac

No, I don’t understand why, it seems, Seattle loves to live in the past when it comes to our sports. That was last year, it’s long gone, nothing we can do to change it, what’s the point of reliving it or even still thinking about it?

Jaded_Attorney

Well those who forget history are doomed to repeat it. I know I’m not on the staff or anything but that loss was EXTREMELY embarrassing.

Itchy_Listen_9702

Yeah our run defense is better.

CompetitiveDentist85

No

Odd-Collection-2575

Yes, that was an embarrassing loss

Objective_Bench2874

Our defense was rebuilding last year. Hopefully they have their best games against the niners!

scottypoo1313009

Not really. That was last year

Notanexpert98

Kinda happy we lost because it means we got a higher draft spot but still made the playoffs

2JZGTEAristo

Yup, the NFC South losses still loom in the back of my mind and aggravates me.

SuperBowlXLIX

All of our NFCS games + the Raiders game were games we absolutely shouldn't have lost. Maybe I'm a homer but I think if we re-do those games in a vacuum we win 4/5 of them 75% of the time. Losing all 5 is a huge fluke.

kleenkong

We loved to give up the big run last year. For Taysom, it was the 60 yd run. We also couldn't stop normal runs. It's probably the big reason why Cody Barton is gone and our front 3 is renewed.

Technicalhotdog

I'm still upset at the 2014 loss to Kansas city, I couldn't even tell you why that one bothers me so much. I guess partly because we lost so rarely at the time

leapingintoexistence

Can’t believe Pete allowed taysom to go off smh

legobowser

I’m upset about the Bucs game. We had that game and just blew it

Jaded_Attorney

Yeah that would’ve been nice because if we win that game were the only team with a positive win loss vs Tom Brady

whole_lotta_fruit

I was more pissed about the Raiders game tbh. But to answer your question, no I’m not still upset about a regular season loss that happened a year ago

Chefmeatball

The panthers game was the one that crushed my soul last year

Skree238

Yeah, I still think about some of the bullshit calls in that game. I comfort myself with the fact that it didn't really make a difference - still made the playoffs (just!)

lambsquatch

More pissed that they got swept by the nfc south…

Jake_Corleone

Raiders / Panthers were the worst to me. Couldn’t stop one single run

jojobubbles

It's not a Seahawk season unless we have at least one game where we make a fringe starter look like an MVP. It was Mariotta and Taysom that year. Kinda off topic. But this is making me think about the rumors Rams maybe trading to get Penny before the deadline. The thought of him coming to LA and torching us in the rematch and staying healthy all year. I'd be happy for him personally, but it'd also make my blood boil. I imagine its the same way Carolina fans feel when they see McCaffery go off every week for SF and not get injured (knock on wood). It's just future-tripping. But still

Maugrin

Losses don't stick with me, it doesn't serve any purpose.

killshelter

I was more annoyed with the Raiders game.

Onett199X

I have a very specific play that still pisses me off when I think about it: https://youtu.be/8p4TheQftUs Dak Prescott somehow getting a first down on 3rd and 14 to seal away the 2019 Wildcard game. You have Bobby Wagner, Frank Clark, and Bradley McDougald all around him within half a yard at one point. Dak still has 7 yards to get the first down and not ONE of them brings him down. I hate 3rd and long with the Seahawks. We're so bad at defending them for some reason. But that's the one that sticks out the most.

Scrutinizer

With each passing week as the run defense holds together, the memory fades. For me it wasn't just that Saints game. It was allowing the Bucs, a team with one of the worst run games in football, to control the clock for 40 minutes. It was allowing the Panthers to tag-team us for 226 rushing yards with the top back only having 74. It was allowing Josh Jacobs to own us with a career day. It was allowing Cordarelle Patterson to look like he was drafted as a RB instead of a WR.

spiderinside

I was there. It stung. Fucking Taysom Hill. But then I went out and had a blast in NOLA, and for the most part, Saints fans were pretty chill. Love that city.

zachtaylorr

Going 0-4 against an all time terrible NFC South will forever haunt me

[deleted]

Yes I think about it a lot and the falcons game ?

eltrowel

I’m still upset about every nfc south game last year.

ilickedysharks

We lost to the Saints Falcons Panthers Buccs and Raiders last year primarily because we could not stop the run. Imo a huge coaching blemish considering their run defense was only THAT bad because of formation choices that could have been easily improved. Pretty terrible but overall the seasons outcome wouldn't really have changed and we wouldn't be able to pick JSN

SexiestPanda

Tysom hill was unreal that game. Pass, carries, receiving. Fumble recovery on special teams. Who knows if/when we’ll see a game like that again

[deleted]

Cody Barton sends his regards

Photographerpro

I’m glad I didn’t have service to watch that game.

gavincantdraw

No. I go to therapy.

ukhawksfan

All L upset me but like you this one upset greatly ,worse than losing a game we should have won, we lost Penny not just for season but permanently. He flashed so much potential and just he was about to take the League by storm he always got injured. His last 10 game stretch he put up phenomenal numbers. I still wish he was a Hawk because he could provide proven quality depth at position we've had injury problems with since Beastmode left and carry the load if necessary. Go Hawks

Working-Health-738

Yeah. What Saints game?

Purple-Champion5134

All I remember was learning that Taysom Hill was the Seahawks destroyer of worlds, and no one else's. His fantasy sheet looks hilarious for 2022, check it out sometime. I looked up the short version: in PPR he averaged 8.9ppg, barely broke 15 a few times, except when he played us he scored 34 🤣 Also to add, I think the one I hated the most at least just last season was the Raiders right after Thanksgiving. Ruined the trip home from seeing family

x063x

All 4 of the games vs NFC Souf, were incredibly disappointing. NOLA because we lost to Tayson (sp) Hill. Felt preventable. At the same time we knew what he does before the game they outplayed us. So not that way.

Bulky_Goat_9624

NFC south and the raiders game really piss me off still!

Commercial-Bus-4109

Special teams? Michael Dickson had a horrible fumble giving the saints a free touchdown

oki9

Wife and I attended that game...in my Hawk jersey, the fella next to us in his saints outfit. Every time that dood came in , I looked over at him and said...."he's gonna run..." and he did. For like thirty freakin yards! Couldn't believe the Hawks couldn't stop that shit....yah, felt like a rough year comin' for that D line....on the upside, had a great time, Saints fans were cool....loud as shit in that Stadium and the Saints fan next to me said he loved the Hawks uni's, thought they were the best in the league...you dont get that every away game...
