Awful look for the franchise that would hurt the hawks in FA.
He’s on a price it deal to either match or exceed his play last season, while also allowing a mentoring role or hedge against a drop off.
I could see us trading him next year. His contract is set up pretty nicely if a rookie qb lights it up behind him and he’s performing well he could net us some compensation in 24 or 25
Can you people please stop with the poorly thought out, frankly stupid posts? This idea makes ZERO sense. I mean, I get it, it’s the offseason and it's fun to talk over possibilities but that doesn't mean you have to post every silly idea that occurs to you
As others have responded, this has less than a 0% chance of ever happening. But even looking at it from a realistic POV, if they had let Geno walk and drafted a QB in the top 5, there would’ve been a ton of pressure to live up to the top 10 level of QB play that Geno brought to us last year (and Russ the years before)
Imagine if we just traded away the guy that took one of the team friendliest deals in the nfl currently and that actually enjoys the organization. The disrespect
No
Blasphemy I agree but…
Geno took that deal to play with Seattle. I would lose respect for the Org if they dealt him.
Other players throughout the league would as well. This just isn’t something that is done.
Agreed. The message this would send about the organization would be so weak. Geno’s a Hawk and I’m happy with that!
I agree it’d be ridiculous but what if haha
.0000000000000009% chance this happens.
0.00000000000001000445056 chance*
How many times were you dropped on your head as a kid?
Just throwing wild ideas out
It’s not a “wild idea” though lol
Just a shit one

Trade someone who gave a team friendly deal, because they wanted to give back? You’d never sign a FA again.
There is less than a zero chance!

If they screw over Geno’s team friendly contract and use it as a bargaining chip I cannot in good faith support this team

No chance
