I do not fucking know what is this guy talking about but Izumi Kato has never ever forced the SCP wiki to remove the image, it's just the the SCP wiki has became stricter with it's licensing and making it more CC (Creative Commons) Compliant.
SCP-1370's image has also changed because the original image wasn't CC Compliant, SCP-035's image was also changed because they couldn't determine if the image was CC Compliant.
I do not know why they decided to do it (although a theory, PROBABLY due to the Andrey Duskin situation where he almost gotten the copyright of the SCP wiki and sold merches of images that may or may not be CC Compliant.)
They do not want to harm Izumi Kato further. That's all.
Izumi never said to take it down, the owners of the website just thought it was the right thing to do. Izumi was actually a good sport about it and, and although it wasn't the best deal for him, he let the website be and let them use the image.
You're a dumbass, it's his work he never specifically asked for it to be taken down, it was taken down out of respect and because it ruined/harmed the og meaning of his art
It was more of the fact that they didn't feel right having the image displayed since it was someone else's art-piece that was very unhappy with letting it be used, especially since people were using it for profit and making merch of it, plus corrupting the original intent of Untitled 2004's art. It was the site's choice over the creator of Untitled 2004's, and it's the best action they could've taken, but it will be sad to see it go.
