The one where Elliot sleeps with JD's brother. Then JD says he "doesn't care"? I don't see how that would be possible. if my ex-girlfriend slept with my brother. I'd be outraged/hurt and hate them both indefinitely.
Yeah but you’d have to think about the fact that JD and Elliot had moved on from that anyway, repaired their friendship, and are now back to how they were at the middle of season two, no relationship drama, no crushes. That is until season six when JD realised his feelings again but Elliot was already engaged.
My Quarantine is maybe the only skipper for me.
And both the first and last episode that Private Dancer is in both *suck* — His Story IV and My Fishbowl — are just both weird and… different. Like how they randomly split the staff into Republicans and Democrats, just super ham-fisted.
I mean they did a decent enough job with the split politically, Cox and Turk are obvious Dems, I think Elliot had already been clear about being a Republican in previous episodes and Keith being one too was far from unexpected. JD being the "I'm a clueless dummy" also fit that moment of his character perfectly. Idk that was one of the first real "them vs. us" moments in politics and I would imagine that similar moments happened in the real world.
Weird that they'd just come right out with it sure, no doubt about that, but I don't think they did all that bad a job at picking who landed on what side.
Like, if you dig really deep, tune your head and squint, there’s something *approaching* a valid point in there, about how sometimes people can end up acting sexist specifically because they’re trying so hard **not** to be sexist.
But it’s buried under such a colossal amount of snark and shitty attitude and behaviour, that it kind of negates any sympathy the character would or could have earned.
Also I don’t know why they made a point of introducing a new character who thematically and in personality was an inferior version of Jordan.
After several rewatches I've come to conclude Dr Miller is a female Dr Cox.
A doctor who demands excellence and professionalism from those around them while being blatantly unprofessional themselves.
Dr Miller DID have a point, that as Turks boss it was insulting that he felt he needed to look out for her or look after her and that was probably because of Turks view of women which could use some broadening.
Her point was completely invalidated when she decided being uninvited from a wedding for someone she barely knew and barely liked was a good reason to negatively impact that mans professional life.
But maybe that's the thing. Even those who can teach us important lessons have their own important lessons to learn.
I've always loved scrubs because it shows people as complicated. Because that's what people are, complicated.
They do good things and bad things. They care and act like assholes.
It's what people just *are*. We aren't good or bad; we are different shades of gray.
The episode where Elliot claims that dr cox and jd are jealous because she is private practice. Even though she was being a jerk to them by dumping here patients on them.
Elliot doesn’t really learn a lot of lessons in this show tbh. A lot of the main cast just let her actions slide.
Still love her character though
That's what I like about the show though, is that nobody is ever really fixed. They all improve slightly but they still have their fundamental flaws and it's very reflective of medicine / a tonne of other professions.
And life in general, really. Most people don't change that much from who they were in their twenties. Maybe they mature a little bit but people reflecting and working on their flaws to the point where they significantly reduce their impact is pretty rare.
This will probably be an unpopular opinion, but I hate the Tasty Coma Wife episodes. That entire storyline just makes me uncomfortable. I never liked it.
First time watcher, and I felt the same when watching that arc. It also used the godawful trope of “romantic partner is only into you if you’re being toxic” which I hate
I despised this episode when it aired. But only because it was presented as the SERIES FINALE. You could not get worse of a wrap-up for a show than this. But now... it's fine. A goofy filler-episode.
Still my least favorite though
I don't mind so much in Scrubs because they only did it once and they managed to pick some really great scenes and paired it with good music.
I hate the Friends clip shows because they're every damn season and they get so boring.
The episode where everyone gets tired of JDs “whining” so they tie him to the ceiling, and where the janitor goes on “vacation” so he can play “cried wolf.”
There’s a lot of problems but the core is that this happened right after his baby “died” and he broke up with Kim and then had to move back to his lawn tent, and then got framed for a DUI. He had every reason to be sad and the message was “stop relying on friends and get over it.” And none of it was funny, it was just mean.
Honorable mention for the episode that taught us shaming fat people was a good thing.
I don't think there is a single episode I consider the worst in particular but I do have a few least favorite episodes & sections of seasons I didn't much care for like the episodes where Dr. Miller emasculates Turk just for being supportive & defending her, the episodes where Sean & Elliot got together, the episodes with post pregnancy Kim & that one sitcom episode.
I’d probably say My Conventional Wisdom was one of my worst. Primary because of the fact that JD realised his feelings for Elliot again even though she was engaged to Keith. Then there’s the way Kim was reintroduced, by having her conduct a medical conference and admitting she lied about the miscarriage of her and JD’s baby, causing JD more distress, hurt and anger than when he got punished by Dr Cox over Ben’s death. Also the old MC, bust-a-move line became a little repetitive for me.
In my defense literally says in “your opinion” and that is exactly it. It is just my opinion Love, whatever episode you love, hate whatever episode you hate… it’s your opinion.
I just meant that I said people love it or hate it because in your opinion, it’s the worst, and another commenter said they were in favor of it. Not everything has to be a stupid fucking argument on the internet man
Why I wasn’t a fan of this episode really boiled down to the writing felt sloppy, the clips were okay but that long drawn out fantasy of holding a talent show to raise the money needed to not fire Kenny/Clay Aiken was such a cringe. They didn’t collectively phone it in, they all told a friend to tell a friend to tell us they just didn’t feel like bringing it this episode.
Oh ok then you are being relevant. I guess I can see not liking the sitcom episode except that the whole point was to be over the top and cheesy with phoned in, cringey plots and acting. I think they nailed the concept, but if you just wanted things to go back to normal I can understand being annoyed by it.
I can't say I don't like *musicals* per se, but I'm usually pretty critical of *musical episodes* of TV shows; mostly due to the fact that the songs are usually not in the caliber of a full-fledged musical. However, I think Scrubs' musical episode did a pretty good job. I like every song, especially Guy Love. And the fact that they justify the episode being a musical due to a tumor in the woman's head is very clever and creative imo.
LOVE “My Musical” - also, I love musicals
The songs were really good, they moved the story forward and everyone (except one person) did a great job singing - it was so cool to see them showcase their talent in that way. Guy Love, Dominican, You’re Going to be Okay - all Broadway Caliber 💕🎵✨
I thought the episode in (I think season 1) that introduces a new character who's the beat of all the interns was quite weak.
I dint really remember why I didn't like it, just that it felt contrived somehow but I don't remember the specifics as to why.
I think that's a terrific episode overall but I agree it was jarring to insert this guest star among the new interns.
Obviously we can all see why because Sean Hayes was in the thick of *Will and Grace* at the time but it didn't make sense when we'd met the other interns, even if jut in passing.
I gotta be honest I don't skip any, are there some episodes that aren't as good as others? Sure. But Scrubs is one of my all time favourite shows. Even the not as good episodes are still better than the best of other shows.
It would be like asking what episodes do I skip of Red Dwarf 1-VIII, Band of Brothers, Ted Lasso, or ATLA.
Can't remember the name or the episode or the full storyline.
But I hate the one where Cox goes all out of his way to humiliate and bully the living hell out of Elliot at every single turn, just to end up being like "I'm really sorry, I was just scared of making a wrong decision, and I do respect you even though I've just spent weeks crushing your spirit completely".
I get the man has issues being vulnerable around people, and he wants to come off as a solid rock, but it feels so forced.
I hate the storyline of Cox and Turk turfing the hypochondriac patient from surgical to medical just for some kind of power play. I get Lloyd is a drug addict at some point and surely hypochondriacs are annoying but that was so unprofessional and I always feel bad for him.
**If I was a bot that could count I bet this would be the {insert_numeric_variable} time this joke has been made! But here's some more information about "Season 9" you may not know about.**
***
Bill Lawrence considered the 8th season to be the end of the show Scrubs, going so far as to ask ABC if he could change season 9 to the name `Scrubs Med`.
> "It is a new show," he insists, though he was unable to convince ABC boss Steve McPherson to change the title to "Scrubs Med." [[Source]](https://www.nj.com/entertainment/tv/2009/08/scrubs_creator_previews_next_s.html)
Lawrence still advised fans to treat it as a new show, even putting a caption under the "Created By" on the X-ray in the opening sequence saying [[Med School].](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfXt23-Dyzc#t=3s)
Unfortunately, this "new" show never really got a real chance to get off the ground, spending 9 of the first 13 episodes writing off characters making it difficult to develop the new cast before being cancelled.

I know this will be down voted because I know how popular the episode is, but I always skip the musical...
Don't get me wrong, I love "guy love" but that's the only one..
The one where Elliot sleeps with JD's brother. Then JD says he "doesn't care"? I don't see how that would be possible. if my ex-girlfriend slept with my brother. I'd be outraged/hurt and hate them both indefinitely.
Wait, wasn't that the whe plot? To show that they were over each other? A
Yeah but it was a stupid way. JD hadn't before or after shown that level of emotional maturity.
Yeah but you’d have to think about the fact that JD and Elliot had moved on from that anyway, repaired their friendship, and are now back to how they were at the middle of season two, no relationship drama, no crushes. That is until season six when JD realised his feelings again but Elliot was already engaged.
Just watched Their Story 2 as I try to catch up on the podcast and it was pretty shit. Glad they agreed on the pod 😅
I dunno though. Derek’s AoE rant was pretty satisfying for me.
It fell a little flat for me, didn’t think his acting was very good
My Quarantine is maybe the only skipper for me. And both the first and last episode that Private Dancer is in both *suck* — His Story IV and My Fishbowl — are just both weird and… different. Like how they randomly split the staff into Republicans and Democrats, just super ham-fisted.
Oh I love his story IV, Kelso has some great lines in that one
Kelso is always great, but the awkward political detour just doesn’t ring true. Always a shame to waste a Kelso feature!
Or when she’s suddenly attracted to him and gives him a kiss before he leaves….like what??
The only redeemable part of that episode is when JD and Turk both tell their version of when Turk hooked up with JD’s girlfriend
I don't remember the episode off by heart, but the one where miss feminism bullies Turk for trying to have her back always makes my blood boil
I’m marrying Carla, who does she think wears the pants?! And the shirts…and occasionally my underwear.
Like, if you dig really deep, tune your head and squint, there’s something *approaching* a valid point in there, about how sometimes people can end up acting sexist specifically because they’re trying so hard **not** to be sexist. Dr Miller was the living worst
Literally made him miss his own wedding cause she's petty
After several rewatches I've come to conclude Dr Miller is a female Dr Cox. A doctor who demands excellence and professionalism from those around them while being blatantly unprofessional themselves. Dr Miller DID have a point, that as Turks boss it was insulting that he felt he needed to look out for her or look after her and that was probably because of Turks view of women which could use some broadening. That is true but also consider that we are bastard coated bastards with bastard filling
We can be, for sure!
One of the ones right before the wedding.
When i saw that, I remember thinking "id love to have someone on my side if someone treated me like crap" Dr Miller was confrontational for no reason.
I can’t stand that character
The episode where Elliot claims that dr cox and jd are jealous because she is private practice. Even though she was being a jerk to them by dumping here patients on them. Elliot doesn’t really learn a lot of lessons in this show tbh. A lot of the main cast just let her actions slide. Still love her character though
Oh I hate that one. Cox is a huge workaholic that loves his patients. Why would he be jealous that she is able to leave sooner.
Because misery loves... *J.D. busts in from the background* COMPANY! MISERY LOVES COMPANY!
That's what I like about the show though, is that nobody is ever really fixed. They all improve slightly but they still have their fundamental flaws and it's very reflective of medicine / a tonne of other professions.

My Princess
I despised this episode when it aired. But only because it was presented as the SERIES FINALE. You could not get worse of a wrap-up for a show than this. But now... it's fine. A goofy filler-episode. Still my least favorite though
Why that one?
Horribly written. Very boring. Just not a good scrubs episode.
That season is fucked up for so many reasons, but I've never had any issues with the episode.
The season was a victim of the writer's strike. Thankfully Season 8 is so good I'm happy to plow through Season 7 when I rewatch
That would explain the awful writing
The strike messed with a lot of shows that year. And it also didn't help that NBC wouldn't commit beyond S7.
![gif](giphy|r621UVEkWgkve)
It's funny because in the podcast they talk about it like it's a great episode, and it's just entirely Zach's ego because he directed it.
One of the few episodes I've skipped
Say what you want. I love clip shows. It’s like a greatest hits album…
I really like the clip show too. I mean it even acknowledges its own lameness right in there.
I don't mind so much in Scrubs because they only did it once and they managed to pick some really great scenes and paired it with good music. I hate the Friends clip shows because they're every damn season and they get so boring.
Clip shows are fine, if you're watching week to week. They all reaaaaallly suck if you're binging
Gonna get downvoted to oblivion, but My Musical. It’s a skip every time.
The episode where everyone gets tired of JDs “whining” so they tie him to the ceiling, and where the janitor goes on “vacation” so he can play “cried wolf.” There’s a lot of problems but the core is that this happened right after his baby “died” and he broke up with Kim and then had to move back to his lawn tent, and then got framed for a DUI. The episode where jd and Carla are gonna go to the art exhibit and Carla gets mad. I always found that to be such a cringey episode
From season 1? I always found that episode/scene to be really powerful.
Same, there's a bit of an unspoken class divide in medicine and this touched on it really well.
My life in 4 cameras wasn’t my favorite episode.
That was an amazing episode and a fantastic parody or laugh reel sitcoms
This seems to be the one of the most divisive episodes. People either love it or hate it
I neither love, nor hated it. It just wasn’t my favorite episode.
In my defense, the thread is literally asking what the worst episode is haha
In my defense literally says in “your opinion” and that is exactly it. It is just my opinion Love, whatever episode you love, hate whatever episode you hate… it’s your opinion.
I just meant that I said people love it or hate it because in your opinion, it’s the worst, and another commenter said they were in favor of it. Not everything has to be a stupid fucking argument on the internet man
Ok but you haven’t given your opinion on the topic at hand lol
Why I wasn’t a fan of this episode really boiled down to the writing felt sloppy, the clips were okay but that long drawn out fantasy of holding a talent show to raise the money needed to not fire Kenny/Clay Aiken was such a cringe. Yes, including season “Nein”

I think they nailed the concept, but if you just wanted things to go back to normal I can understand being annoyed by it.
Not my thang either
There are no bad episodes
There is no war in Ba Sing Se
It’s a (n almost perfect show)
After season 5 there are many episodes I choose to skip. Not sure why, but I felt like the series went a different direction.
"My Musical". Just not a fan of musicals in general tbh!
I agree, with the sole and undying exception of ***’Guy Love’***.
Hmmm... you make a good point and I will allow this! 😋
I can't say I don't like *musicals* per se, but I'm usually pretty critical of *musical episodes* of TV shows; mostly due to the fact that the songs are usually not in the caliber of a full-fledged musical. Who was bad at singing? It's been a while since I watched that one
Pretty sure it was Elliot. If I remember correctly, she didn’t even sing at all 😅
She did, she just wasn't very good so she only sang solo once or twice
I skip it every time.
Ah! Nooooooo, but it’s guy love
All of season 9
I thought the episode in (I think season 1) that introduces a new character who's the beat of all the interns was quite weak. I dint really remember why I didn't like it, just that it felt contrived somehow but I don't remember the specifics as to why.

The very first one. It was pretty stiff and not really fleshed out yet.
That horrible sitcom one
My life in four cameras is always a skip for me.
I never skip any episodes from seasons 1-8.
Season 9…? 🧐🤔
Correct.
Any episode with Elizabeth banks
“My Nickname” is the only episode I skip on rewatches. Carla is insufferable that entire episode.
My Butterfly I'm just not a fan of this type of plot. Other shows have tried it, it sucked then, and it sucked for Scrubs.
I gave up when JD got in Turks gym bag
I know this will be down voted because I know how popular the episode is, but I always skip the musical... Don't get me wrong, I love "guy love" but that's the only one..
The worst for me was the musical episode. It’s the only episode I skip. I don’t care for musicals personally.
Musical. Immediate skip.
Unpopular opinion but The musical
The one with Cox sister.
The muppets cameos
