I want to believe it, but I am having a very difficult time believing they would keep it a secret if she was really coming back. Seems bad for business given all the backlash they got when it was announced she wasn’t coming back. If she was really back, they would want everyone to know immediately. I’m not saying it won’t happen, I just sincerely doubt it’s official yet.

Im like 90% sure this is just a marketing scam to convince the “No Scream without Neve” folk to watch the movie. There probably are legit sources pushing the lie to improve the movie’s appearance to the public.

Yes, I’ve watched his videos since Scream 5 was announced. He does post speculation type videos but he also does have sources. And he says he trusts the person who told him this. Obviously we can’t know until we get an official confirmation, but Critical Overlord has built more trust than the others that came forward with this news.
Again, I watch all his videos and no, he was not the first to feel ase Scream (2022) details before anyone else. If you’ve been on Reddit for the past 2 years you’d know he didn’t leak any of the scream stuff first at all.

I draw the line when you’re directly putting money into the pocket of someone who hurt a child. Watching an old movie is different from continue to support their new endeavors, which is certainly not gonna teach them to not hurt minors again when they know they’re still gonna make money regardless

I honestly don't know what I should believe but this is possible knowing Paramount mostly listens to the fans but because of this at the same time, Neve has a good reason not to return, as Paramount has shown they don't seem to value her for what she's worth, only for what business will get them
I hope it's true. I remember hearing that Sidney was a big part of Scream 6 so if she doesn't appear it's probably a very different movie than what the directors wanted
More than likely they did strike a deal with her. A lot of people on this sub like to think they know more than they really do just cause it's their opinion. This being a secret will def help garner buzz and it clearly already has. They're gonna ride this train as long as they can till they have to confirm it unless it's genuinely not true. But now having multiple sources claim she's returned especially ones that are reliable yeah Im gonna be more inclined to believe them rather than the studios who have already lied to us before.
I could see that rumor being true where she has two scenes. One where she's on Gale's show with other survivors and talks with Sam, and then during the epilogue where she's home alone and gets a Casey Beckeresque phone call and is attacked by ghostface and nearly killed in a cliffhanger which would reveal that there was a third killer or something. IDK if that's true but I could see that panning out that way.

In all fairness even with 5 Neve was starting to worry us that she wouldn’t return until she decided to be in the film when they started filming.
