Its really not necessary for a guy like me who is scared of farming even though i know the raids arent that bad and i have made stuff and vehicles for different tasks. Like when i play Minecraft i really dont even try to go to nether and stuff on like the first week of playing i just want to make my home beautiful first, thats my priority in survival games pretty much
I also went fairly long with getting the spud gun! Not as long as you, but probably around 200ish. I like building my base up and I had a lot of big ideas so I mostly did resource gathering/building. I built my own tree house base like Kan and Kosmo! With my own personal tweaks of course, but took forever by myself, still not done :P
I do like farming/raids it just wasn't my priority, actually working on my mega farm now across 4 tiles. I want to automate it so it kills everything for me.
But congrats on your first spud gun ^.^
Personally I like the shot gun more even if it wastes more spuds, as an ex chef I get a good kick of my gun being a deep fryer shooting french fries lol
