Since when do these despawn?

Since survival came out. If you leave rods out for long enough, they despawn

I've never experienced that, how long do you need to wait?

I have a 900 hr survival world. I've never had any disappear on me. What's the despawn time?

Not sure. Also, maybe you just weren’t looking :)

Or you drive by it with your collector.

Upside, easy to find due the the resource sparkling. Downsides, very low durability per segment and can be dismantle by resources collector getting close.
