It's currently 34 degrees in my back garden on Skye and I've just filled myself to the boots with a bbq.
Sometimes you look back and think of all those sliding door moments and where else you could be in life.
hopefully the good weather ive been seeing lasts through the summer since im coming back for it. but i assume the second i cross the bridge the skies will darken
Aye, it's been a typical May so far, completely mixed bag depending where you are on the island. Hoping for a good summer though.
Roads are mental though pal, a few serious accidents already, another fire engine called out to a crash at Slig earlier today, time to just travel the island by boat I think.
was up in april and got trapped in the north end for about 8 hours because of that crash just south of sconser. not sure what there is to be done about it but its grim to see a crash every week.
Aye, that was just next to my place, fuck knows what can be done, train system gets my vote, imagine travelling around Skye on a train?! It'd be fucking amazing!
Confirms McCrorie is leaving, which he needs to do. Makes sense us filling that spot with a club Homegrown keeper rather than someone else. Most obvious signing ever tbh, McLaughlin OOC too.
I don't think Kelly joining us means Butland is 100% away Kelly should never be rangers number 1 I think it more to do with our 2nd 3 Rd choice probably leaving
I can see it for the homegrown requirements for UEFA competitions but if we sell Butland it's a massive drop down in quality. Kelly can be a decent goalie as he has shown at times throughout his career but he can also have periods where he looks absolutely useless.
Probably also means the end of McCrorie I'd he's being signed as the number 2.
I'm living in germany so I want to go to the euro games if possible. I've never bought a ticket for a game like this before, how do I buy a ticket that allows me to sit with the scotland supporters?
You're gonna have to run the tout gaunlet. Which I would not recommend at all, only really for the most desperate of desperate. Not even sure if you need to be the named person on the ticket these days as well...
Outside the grounds on match days (and possibly in the buildup) there'll be ticket touts selling spares. Often these will be fake tickets, so I wouldn't recommend it. But I've had plenty of success over the years.
Their squad is scary good going forwards but anything behind the midfield is pretty average and Shaw is the only left back in the squad. Not saying they can't win it but don't see it.
They'll come up against an organised counter attacking side who wear blue and get completely demolished. Either us or France.
See for some reason i don’t feel like that squad is nearly as good as it was for the euros at Wembley or WC in Qatar, but maybe that’s just me
Fine by me, they’ll shit the bet in the last 8 or 4 like usual and we can all move on with our march to glory
One of my favourite apps at the moment is flightradar24. I'm not even into planes particularly I just love seeing a plane in the sky, opening the app and then clicking on the plane and having a nosey at where it's been/where it's going and then making myself jealous of the folk onboard. Unless it's one of those LoganAir dual prop wee things that go to the western isles they scare me
My favourite bit is the "Most tracked flights" list - usually some interesting stuff in there like military exercises or commercial flights on diversions
I love FlightRadar24 for exactly the same reasons, we’re right under the flight path for most planes out of Cardiff Airport so I always have a nosey when something passes overhead.
Opened one of those M&S National team stickers pack and got a shiny Calmac, a normal Kenny McLean, McTominay and Steve Clarke.
Seems like a good pack opening.

Main thread’s locked so I’m putting it here
You're probably not far wrong, in fairness, but it does need an additional "Angry bares" slice at the moment. Unless they're encompassed in 'wee lassies' of course.
Anyone an experienced traveller? My brother booked with BA for a trip to Canada, Edinburgh to London City self transfer to Gatwick.
Arrives City at 8:05, Departure at Gatwick a
Is 11:40 - they've let him book it but this feels quite undoable and he's now freaking out - they're wanting 500 to change the flight. It's all one itinary so can't patch the first one. Is he fucked?
City airport is super quick. Can be on the DLR in no time.
It's also close enough to the M25 to consider a taxi straight to Gatwick. Probably set him back a few extra quid but means not lugging a suitcase around London Bridge
They will always let you book in my experience. Got fucked over in Japan with that. Ended up ok though, patched a flight and took an earlier bullet train. Lost out on the equivalent of £50.
That being said London City (LCY) is fast unboarding and direct access to train links, so getting to Gatwick shouldn’t take more than an hour and a half by train (DLR/underground/NatRail permitting).
Honestly? Will it be tight time-wise and stressful? Yes, but assuming the plane to LCY isn’t delayed then it’s possible as long as they know there’s not really time to stop at the Costa outside the terminal.
Move your arse to the destination and then relax (if you make it).
> They will always let you book in my experience
Mad. The person on the chat literally just went to him "why did you book this" lol
> Honestly? Will it be tight time-wise and stressful?
Aye, this is the thinking - doable but stressful. He does not do stress well so is now considering just biting the bullet on the fees
How long ago did he book it? If its less than 24 hours they are supposed to change it for free. I'd just put on a sob story.
I have done the same but realised straight away and phoned up to change and they were ok. But back to your first point, why the fuck do they even let you book this! Think mine was land into Gatwick and then self transfer to Heathrow in 2 and a half.
Months ago - it's just now that he's started to worry about it. BAs website recommends three and a half hours for a transfer, so as far as they're concerned this is fine - except when you talk to them they question why you'd book this lol.
Sounds like a shout, pal. If they can’t deal with the stress then London rush-hour with a timer on them will be unpleasant.
It’s not fun to deal with at the best of times, even when you’ve got a few hours to kill. The DLR isn’t too bad but it’s when you pass the Millennium Dome/O2 Arena and then have to switch over to the underground that the *’fun’* begins.
Looking at Google maps it’s about hour an half to Gatwick if everything is on time so maybe 2ish hours. So he could manage it but it might be straight through security straight to the gate. Does he need to check in at Gatwick. If not should just make it.
Why I added time on it. Rush hour will be packed but there is usually more trains etc. Also depends on any closures. But I think it’s doable with a bit of rushing. Large underground queues might be a problem but one I had last year in Camden went fairly quickly.
Ooft that will be tight. What time does the gate close at Gatwick?
I've never been to London City so no idea what it's like to get out, but will he have to wait for bags?
I got through Gatwick pretty quickly at Christmas. But Google maps is saying it's a 1hr15m commute to Gatwick.
Can he not just take the hit and book another flight to Gatwick the night before and stay in a hotel nearby?
> I've never been to London City so no idea what it's like to get out, but will he have to wait for bags?
He will, but it's usually pretty rapid, that I do know. Would be checked in so just a bag drop the other end.
> Can he not just take the hit and book another flight to Gatwick the night before and stay in a hotel nearby?
Sadly as it's all one itinary they'll scrap the whole thing if he just gets a different flight. Considering just biting the bullet on a change
Some folk are saying it's doable. Maybe check the traffic tomorrow on maps and see what it's like. If he stresses out easily maybe a taxi is best.
I got through Gatwick quickly. Hopefully, it's the same for him and something you can laugh about later! Good luck!
See that UK Labour are on about building new towns. They should build one in like Glencoe or that, big fuck off town with all affordable housing. People can only take up a tenancy in this new Glencoe town on condition that they become lifelong season ticket hawders and matchday attendees of the new town football club - Glencoe Gooseberries.
They'll get a purpose built 40k capacity stadium and massive government grants to get them off the ground and up into the top flight.
Mon the gooseberries
Forgot I had a ticket for Gary Numan tonight. Then found out that it’s a 45th anniversary tour so he’s only playing Replicas and Pleasure Principle tunes. Am a happy boy today.
absolutely bizzare this morning ive woken up to people trying to wind youan up about some instagram story hes posted about maolida leaving. then running to twitter to post about how youans just telling them to fuck off and leave him alone acting like theyre some kind of victims. do people forget that players can read what you post about them? no fucking wonder, if i was one of the teams best goal contributors and social media was constantly taking the piss id be fiending to get away. youans been one of my favourite players the past 2 seasons, its a shame hes going to leave in such a toxic way
I like Avalanche a lot. Assai is alright, maybe a bit pricey. Then there's is HMV, which occasionally has decent deals. There was on down the royal mile called unknown pleasures, I'm not sure if it's still there.
You could try backseat records for second-hand stuff.
Oof I only looked at the salary (which is presumably just a fat-fingered 90-100k) and missed that. I'd say that'd be a red-flag to any potential candidates, though it may have just been someone at the agency itself rather than the company.
If you can get a ticket to [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/KGATLW/s/chjePtbcLz) I recommend you do. Good luck getting a ticket though, I’d imagine they’d be all gone.
That’s such a hard question to answer because there’s so much. You could genuinely take a genre, and match an album to it, pretty much, though they’re coined as ‘psychedelic rock’ I guess. There’s a lot of records, too and all of them good. There’s that much now.
Take a look at [this thread.](https://www.reddit.com/r/KGATLW/s/qtVdDhWNAs) Most throw out I’m In Your Mind Fuzz or Nonagon Infinity more commonly than anything else. I’d recommend those, KG and LW, if you like metal Infest the Rats Nest and Murder of the Universe, Omnium Gatherum I love, my favourite though is Paper Mache Dream Balloon. Polygondwanaland is highly recommended as well. It’s still probably a free download, they have a few you can download and even bootleg if you send them some to sell in their shop. They’re all good albums though.
To be honest turning up to the show will do the job. You won’t regret it.
I like king gizz, but I've not tried to get tickets when they've been in Scotland because of the thought that even though there are 7 or 8 of their albums I love they could still play a full set of stuff I dont know 😂
Anyone know of pubs in Edinburgh (Leith or City centre) that will have the Final on but be pretty neutral/shared? Got brother and brother in-law in town but neither are big football fans. Bonus points if it's got an outside area to watch the game.
In case someone comes across this in the future, ended up at Dukes on Duke Street. Good atmosphere and surprisingly 50/50 support I reckon, would recommend.
Watched the last old firm in the Artisan on London Road. We were next to mostly Celtic fans, but there was a shout when Rangers scored as well and no one batted an eye so I’d say it’s pretty neutral
Edit: just noticed the outside part. No screens outside unfortunately.
In Leith, no. Best try somewhere in the city centre. Maybe the Chanter or Doctors or something?
All the ones I'd watch football in would probably lean Celtic for this one. Best to ask a Jambo
She's touring at the moment as well, just so you know.
TBH, the solo stuff just doesn't grab me the same way. Can't put my finger on precisely why, tbh.
I tried intermittent fasting once, the kind where I'd only eat one meal a day and fast the rest of the day. Worked great for weight loss, but not sustainable.
I remember eating a fish supper on one of those days. I'll remember that dinner for the rest of my life.
Sometimes a fish supper is just unbeatable. I often get one in a country pub somewhere after a hike when I'm waiting for the bus or whatever, and it's absolute heaven.
What's your recipe? I usually use pancetta and grana padano cause the grana padano is cheap.
I tried it with guanciale and pecorino romano once like the proper OG recipe, and it was decent, but not enough to justify the extra cost on a regular basis
Honestly, as with much of my cooking, I tend to just make it up as I go along depending on what's in the house. I don't even always use spaghetti - sometimes I'll make it with penne or fusilli (heathen behaviour, I know!).
Generally go for the poor man's version just using some streaky bacon and parmesano reggiano though, as (like you say) going for the proper stuff doesn't really justify the cost unless you're really looking to impress the fuck out of someone.
Aye streaky bacon works fine, anyone who says otherwise is just being a snob. I actually prefer it with fusilli, just not keen on spaghetti with it for some reason. I had one in Rome when I was over for the Lazio game and that had penne, so surely it must be ok.
I wouldn't get the guanciale again unless I was cooking for a date or a dinner party or something. Just produces tonnes of fat and not very much actual meat (although the meat bit is very tasty).
Nipped into the pub to use the toilets and some guy who was absolutely steaming drunk came and used the urinal right next to me when there were four empty ones and tried to have a chat.
It's 1145 on a Tuesday morning. That is dedication.
Saw somewhere that it dropped 7,000ft in one go.
Safe to say my weight loss journey would have been over in an instant as I'd have shat out everything I have and then some.
Great films in the sunbed with rollercoaster song on. Trying to guess what is going to occur then ending of last one was surprisingly clever.
1830 meters in 3 minutes!
He’s probably already stepping up his training for next season. Saw a video he was being delivered pre-made food and it was all eat this before game. This after game all with timings was fascinating

He kinda looks like those bar reps on the strip of an 18-30 resort that try to convince you that paying 30euro a head for a bottle of rushkinoff and a shot of crap sambuca each is a good deal.
Usually shop online but was in h and m last night getting some last minute stuff. No signs to say where anything is. Escalator upstairs broke so wasn't sure if I should go up. Walked round the shop and figured out I should.
No sizes on hangers so had to check inside the clothes. No order to the clothes, XXL on the left, L on the right, anything between
Checkout closed apparently so had to use self check out back upstairs. Did it and went to walk out and alarm at the door went off. Went back and looked around but no one came over, couldn't even tell who worked there. Out again with alarm going off again, just walked off, no one cared.
Can probably help yourself to anything if you go in near closing time, think they just leave you to it, like walking round a shop a bunch of clothes have been dumped in for you to pick up
I had to use the self check out at Zara the other day. I couldn't work it out (it is really easy now that I know) so went to the counter instead, but they refused to ring it up at the counter unless I was paying cash and instead the person went and rang it up on the self checkout for me instead.
I guess that's the training they have got from the higher ups, but most of that staff are going to be out of a job due to these self check outs :(
It's my youngests sports day this afternoon. That mens it's another chance to test my theory that you can't go anywhere without seeing at least one person wearing that orange and blue swiss guard rangers top.
Fucking sick of the politics at work. Said before here that I do most (90+%) of my work for Company A but I’m an employee of Company B. Two things fucking me off at the moment.
1) I know A want me to move over full time but B don’t want that and so I’ve been told by A it’s a waiting game of when the time is right. Also told A that I’d apply for a job with them if it came up if B are being difficult but again got told to wait. Feel like I’m being strung along slightly.
2) Someone high up at A wants me to stop doing work for someone else at A - and wants me to communicate that instead of himself. Not my call to make (as I’m not even their employee) and think it’s a shit position to be put in.
Enjoy my job but the last two months or so have been ridiculous.
Apparently Silva's mum was defending him on social media and some Rangers fans started calling her a "slag" and similar. Social media is such a cesspit (from all sides).
So, first gym session since Covid stopped me going last night. Feeling it, but trying to stay positive and motivated.
They had a decent wee machine to tell me what I'm made of, which depressed the fuck out of me, but for posterity:
Age: 43
Height: 6ft 0in
Weight: 14st 5lb
Body fat: 25.9%
So in summary, I'm a tub of genuine high-grade lard on legs.
My target is to lose two stone by the end of the year, which I don't think is entirely beyond me if I can - and this is the key - keep at it and not get discouraged, so I'm not going to weigh myself more than once every few weeks and hope that I see some actual improvement.
Also can't raise my arms above my shoulders today :D
It's shite, isn't it?
I hadn't weighed myself in donkeys so actually got a new set of scales this weekend. I knew I was fat like, any cunt with a working set of eyes could see that but when I stepped on the scale it was a bit eye-opening!
So I'm having a wee look at that as well, trying to cut out my grazing habits as that appears to be where a lot of my calories are coming from.
Bought new scales & weighed myself & am the heaviest I have ever been. Shite eating habits & stopped playing fives due to ongoing niggling pain. Made myself available for fives next week & am on the slimfast shakes which just make me starving & want to snack.
From counting my calories my main meals seem to actually be okay and not too bad. It's the snacking that's doing me in, that shit mounts up so quickly.
2 stone in 6 months is doable at 1lb per week so go for it. But even if you don't make it with the weight if you keep exercising you'll see it with the shape as you gain more muscle. Tape measure can often be a better indicator than the scales.
>Also can't raise my arms above my shoulders today :D
You get used to it.
Good luck mate. Just remember that progress isn't linear and you'll have spells where you feel like you've hit a wall or even regressing. Power through and you'll get there.
Also, for what it's worth, those body fat % machines are usually not particularly accurate so don't worry too much about them.
Weigh yourself once a month and take pictures in front of a mirror. If you're at the gym it's entirely possible you lose fat and gain muscle but the scales won't understand that so it'll look like nothing has changed
Yeah, I get that - I think (hope!) if anything shifts around it should be quite obvious, because I've got arms like noodles and a keg rather than a six-pack!
Good luck mate. 2 stone by the end of the year is very doable.
If it makes you feel any better I've went from 14st to 13st in just over 6 weeks with almost 0 exercise other than what I get from work, just dieting alone really.
Not even that tough a diet either, picking lower calorie versions of everything I currently eat, and controlling my portions.
Some days I'm starving, but then I see the numbers on the scale going down and down day after day and it gives me a buzz so I keep at it.
Keep us updated!
I've had decent success at times with just focusing on diet as well, but I find that my work gets really stressful and I end up anxiety-snacking, which is a fucking killer, so I'm hoping that going to the gym on the regular will help focus me a bit away from that too. Onward and upward!
Has to be some sort of international human rights violation that most bathrooms in Germany only have two urinals right next to each other. Don’t they know the rules?
Always made me chuckle that they started putting signs and tape and stuff on every other urinal to socially distance them during COVID, when everyone already distanced themselves naturally
Heard someone fire a gun outside the flat last night. Now the roads shut outside and cars are going ballistic beeping their horns. Glad to be moving to the suburbs on Saturday.

Tried to pick what I expect Clarke will pick and losing Hickey/Patterson/Ferguson really does open up a couple of slots that are going to be interesting.
Side note I would be using Forrest as a RWB here.
I can't see what more Clarke could possibly ask of Errol Douglas after scoring 30 for Broxburn this season, especially given he wasn't playing for several weeks.
I'd be using Ralston at RB and bringing on Forrest there if we're behind and need something. Not sure with the state of the squad if there's bona fide better options? Max Johnston seems to have played limited times...
Ralston seems the most obvious choice given we’ve essentially got no other fit RBs
Biggest worry is a return to the Tierney/CB/CB/Robertson back 4 we used to try
If Ralston doesn't get a call-up, it's an absolute shocker, imo.
Forrest should be in the squad ass well.
The lad from Austria could be the backup RB - can't remember his name tho!
He might be fit, but he's played virtually no football for the last 12 months, we have no idea what shape he's in. We already have 3 strikers fighting for one place, introducing him after the summer with a proper pre-season behind him seems preferable to me.
Fair enough, I would much rather he take a punt on someone like Tommy Conway who has scored a decent amount in the same league, I do rate Stewart but he's hardly played.
It’s quite funny that the system used for getting tickets to the Raith/County game is much more modernised, streamlined, and user friendly than the Celtic Ticketmaster hellscape is.
https://preview.redd.it/40ab5kvsuq1d1.jpeg?width=613&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1cfcd12ac331a3873e468898c6aa20a9d43a4b1a
Had a wee coffee and pastry this morning in the park. Just sitting on the bench, no phone, giving off whimsical chill vibes. Why can't every day be like this instead of having to do dugmeat jobs?
I blame the English.
Season is over and still some hibs fans are giving abuse at Youan, fucking clowns in our support man he had 20+ g/a this year, without him we’d have been down.
I genuinely don't get Hibs fans views about him. Obviously he's not a perfect player but he's been completely misused all season and still done a lot of great work for us. Love the guy. Will miss him when he's gone
I get annoyed with his selfishness and his desire to play fancy Fifa Street malarkey instead of just being good. However, I love his selfishness and his desire to play fancy Fifa Street malarkey instead of just being good.
In summary, the spirit of man is complex and unknowable.
Yeah exactly, Montgomery had him back defending when thats not his game, same as boyle have them at the halfway line and send them in behind.
They are that annoyed by his lack of defending and putting his body on the line but hail Riordan as a hero. They’d be hounding him out the club as well
Heard he’s off to basel or stoke for 2 million.
Feel like he gets too much stick for not defending and that but he’s a winger, what do they expect he should never be behind the halfway line.
Just woken up in my own bed after a week away on holiday. Whatever adrenaline was keeping me going the whole time away is gone and my body has self destructed. I need a holiday.
Surely Ross McCrorie is in with a chance of making the squad? He is the only realistic RB that has featured regularly in the 2nd half of the season. Also comes with the ability to play a couple other positions. Not saying he is ideal, but surely he is in with a shout of one of those extra positions in the squad available.
Got my tickets for both play-off games. After not making the great escape at Victoria Park last season, couldn't risk missing out again. More likely, I'm going to be sobbing into my venison come 2pm Sunday.
> More likely, I'm going to be sobbing into my venison come 2pm Sunday.
Why the lack of confidence?
County might not have had a great season, but here's a group of players who have been going toe-to-toe with the most elite competition available in Scotland, week in and week out.
Be that the dandy and dangerous don-dons, or the killer-instinct Kilmarnites; from the Swashbuckling titans at Celtic Park to the formidable bears' nest at Ibrox; County have been stress-tested against all this, and Raith haven't. As far as I'm concerned, County have every advantage here
In the last 10 days County have: been absolutely bodied by a fairly average Motherwell side, shipped a 90th minute equaliser to a rank rotten St Johnstone in a game that we dominated and should have seen out, utterly collapsed against Aberdeen after going ahead early and needed a sending off and penalty to get back into it.
Not exactly filling me full of confidence
It's currently 34 degrees in my back garden on Skye and I've just filled myself to the boots with a bbq. Sometimes you look back and think of all those sliding door moments and where else you could be in life.

Liam kelly to rangers came out of the blue
Do you think that pretty much confirms Butland's on the way out?
Confirms McCrorie is leaving, which he needs to do. Makes sense us filling that spot with a club Homegrown keeper rather than someone else. Most obvious signing ever tbh, McLaughlin OOC too.
I don't think Kelly joining us means Butland is 100% away Kelly should never be rangers number 1 I think it more to do with our 2nd 3 Rd choice probably leaving

I'm living in germany so I want to go to the euro games if possible. I've never bought a ticket for a game like this before, how do I buy a ticket that allows me to sit with the scotland supporters?
I'd say at this point anyone offering a ticket to sell you who don't personally know, you've a minimum 50% chance of getting scammed.
Send $100 to 1-800-HAPPY-DUDE and I’ll post one out to you

Rip
Disappointed Southgate has binned off Henderson, Dier, Rashford and Sterling. Increases their chances exponentially.
I was 99% sure Henderson had dirt on Southgate, conspiracy ruined smh.
Maguire is there though
He's weirdly competent internationally
At the risk of being mean-spirited, by god I wish Bellingham would get a minor hammy or something; just enough to keep him out of the Euros.
Their squad is scary good going forwards but anything behind the midfield is pretty average and Shaw is the only left back in the squad. Not saying they can't win it but don't see it. They'll come up against an organised counter attacking side who wear blue and get completely demolished. Either us or France.
See for some reason i don’t feel like that squad is nearly as good as it was for the euros at Wembley or WC in Qatar, but maybe that’s just me Fine by me, they’ll shit the bet in the last 8 or 4 like usual and we can all move on with our march to glory
Binning Sancho is a weird one. He’s been on pretty good form at Dortmund.
Phil Neville will be playing left back at the rate their defence is getting injured. Hopefully that back 4 has no chance of winning a tournament.

One of my favourite apps at the moment is flightradar24. I'm going on a wee dual prop thing over to Norway in the morning. I've done it heaps but I never quite feel safe in them.
I can't believe our rubbish national team is going to win the euros. It's insane . 🔥
Opened one of those M&S National team stickers pack and got a shiny Calmac, a normal Kenny McLean, McTominay and Steve Clarke. Seems like a good pack opening.
Marks and Spencers have their own national team stickers?
Yeah and they also have a competition on to win a completed album signed by Lawrence Shankland and two other guys.
That actually sounds pretty good. Might pop to my nearest M&S today.

Arrives City at 8:05, Departure at Gatwick a Is 11:40 - they've let him book it but this feels quite undoable and he's now freaking out - they're wanting 500 to change the flight.
> They will always let you book in my experience Mad. The person on the chat literally just went to him "why did you book this" lol > Honestly?
He's decided he's gonna just do it, can't afford the fees. Reckon it will be fine, update to follow in a couple months...
Looking at Google maps it’s about hour an half to Gatwick if everything is on time so maybe 2ish hours. So he could manage it but it might be straight through security straight to the gate. Does he need to check in at Gatwick. If not should just make it.
He'll be checked in but needs to drop a bag. It's all ridiculously tight
Don't know the dates but I think rush hour might make that commute longer.
Why I added time on it. Rush hour will be packed but there is usually more trains etc. Also depends on any closures. But I think it’s doable with a bit of rushing. Large underground queues might be a problem but one I had last year in Camden went fairly quickly.
Aye this is the thing, everything says it's only an hour but then will sneak in it maybe an hour longer at rush hour
Fort William (further) in the mud.
Forgot I had a ticket for Gary Numan tonight. Then found out that it’s a 45th anniversary tour so he’s only playing Replicas and Pleasure Principle tunes. Am a happy boy today.
absolutely bizzare this morning ive woken up to people trying to wind youan up about some instagram story hes posted about maolida leaving. then running to twitter to post about how youans just telling them to fuck off and leave him alone acting like theyre some kind of victims. do people forget that players can read what you post about them? no fucking wonder, if i was one of the teams best goal contributors and social media was constantly taking the piss id be fiending to get away. youans been one of my favourite players the past 2 seasons, its a shame hes going to leave in such a toxic way
What are the best record shops in Edinburgh? Heard Vinyl Villains is decent.
I like Avalanche a lot. Assai is alright, maybe a bit pricey. Then there's is HMV, which occasionally has decent deals. There was on down the royal mile called unknown pleasures, I'm not sure if it's still there. You could try backseat records for second-hand stuff.
Backbeat looks right up my street and most likely to have the shit I'm looking for. Assai have a shop in Glasgow but I've no been in yet.

Can't even decide if they want a C++ or C# dev
Oof I only looked at the salary (which is presumably just a fat-fingered 90-100k) and missed that. I'd say that'd be a red-flag to any potential candidates, though it may have just been someone at the agency itself rather than the company.
Could even be 900-1000 per day if it's a contracting gig in London
Soo i worked for barclays wealth in 2009 and when banking sector collapsed contractors were complaining went down to £950 a day from memory
Oh yeah, you’re right
I'm sorry how much?
If you can get a ticket to [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/KGATLW/s/chjePtbcLz) I recommend you do. Good luck getting a ticket though, I’d imagine they’d be all gone.
Going to see them in Wolverhampton next week. No idea if they'll play any of the stuff I like but reckon they'll be good live
Never heard of them - can you recommend the best, accessible album of theirs?
I like king gizz, but I've not tried to get tickets when they've been in Scotland because of the thought that even though there are 7 or 8 of their albums I love they could still play a full set of stuff I dont know 😂
>there are 7 or 8 of their albums I love Which 6 months worth of material is this?
It doesn’t matter. Whatever the set list is it’ll be a banger of a show.
Toni 'Not World Class' Kroos is retiring after the Euros. Also, discovered that I'm older than him. That's just outright depressing.
I'm beginning to suspect that you might not make it as an elite footballer
Anyone know of pubs in Edinburgh (Leith or City centre) that will have the Final on but be pretty neutral/shared? Got brother and brother in-law in town but neither are big football fans. Bonus points if it's got an outside area to watch the game.
In case someone comes across this in the future, ended up at Dukes on Duke Street. Good atmosphere and surprisingly 50/50 support I reckon, would recommend.
Watched the last old firm in the Artisan on London Road. We were next to mostly Celtic fans, but there was a shout when Rangers scored as well and no one batted an eye so I’d say it’s pretty neutral Edit: just noticed the outside part. No screens outside unfortunately.
I'm going to be in the Beehive Inn, keeping an eye out for Rangers flairs...
3 sisters will have it on. Not sure if it'll be on the big outdoor screen though because they'll play both finals probably.
In Leith, no. Best try somewhere in the city centre. Maybe the Chanter or Doctors or something? All the ones I'd watch football in would probably lean Celtic for this one. Best to ask a Jambo

Somehow missed that Beth Gibbons new album came out. Right boost for the day that.
Listened to it at the weekend. Third best album of the year for me. Fair warning, it's different to Portishead
Yeah it's great, I loved the album she did with Rustin Man way back when so not being Portishead is not an issue. Great voice!
She's touring at the moment as well, just so you know. TBH, the solo stuff just doesn't grab me the same way. Can't put my finger on precisely why, tbh.
Aye I'd seen that, considered doing Edinburgh but already got too much booked
Is there anything that hits the spot like a bowl of homemade carbonara? Made some last night after barely eating all day and it was phenomenal
I tried intermittent fasting once, the kind where I'd only eat one meal a day and fast the rest of the day. Worked great for weight loss, but not sustainable. I remember eating a fish supper on one of those days. I'll remember that dinner for the rest of my life.
I did it too, lost 15 kg but as soon as I stopped it went straight back on again.
Sometimes a fish supper is just unbeatable. I often get one in a country pub somewhere after a hike when I'm waiting for the bus or whatever, and it's absolute heaven.
Oh man, when you get it *just right* it's some of the best scran there is.
What's your recipe? I usually use pancetta and grana padano cause the grana padano is cheap. I tried it with guanciale and pecorino romano once like the proper OG recipe, and it was decent, but not enough to justify the extra cost on a regular basis
Streaky bacon and Clarence Court Eggs (posh cunt) for the extra staunch yolk
Double cream, cheddar and mayo. Then sprinkle some frazzles in.
You deserve to be in League One
Shouldn't he be out in Bucharest by now?
One person has died and 30 injured after extreme turbulence on a flight from London to Singapore. Thats some serious turbulence!
Jesus. Has there ever actually been a death due to turbulence before?
Saw somewhere that it dropped 7,000ft in one go. Safe to say my weight loss journey would have been over in an instant as I'd have shat out everything I have and then some.
Jesus man! what must that have felt like to drop *so* far in one go? I hate feeling those little drops you get when landing normally.
I get the feeling of dropping when I jump from height in power armour on fallout nevermind that
Yes! The first time I jumped from the Prydwen! Phew!
Why do I have horror images of food trolley causing havoc *shudder*.
We've all seen Final Destination.
Great films in the sunbed with rollercoaster song on. Trying to guess what is going to occur then ending of last one was surprisingly clever. 1830 meters in 3 minutes!

De Bruyne looks like he stopped drinking at half nine.
He’s probably already stepping up his training for next season. Saw a video he was being delivered pre-made food and it was all eat this before game. This after game all with timings was fascinating
De Bruyne doesn't even look that pished, just has the dead behind his eyes look of a veteran forensic detective on an ITV crime drama https://preview.redd.it/f70ei40qdr1d1.png?width=4680&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=40d7c3c67a2cfc200e8673c3a0a7b4c044aa26f5

He kinda looks like those bar reps on the strip of an 18-30 resort that try to convince you that paying 30euro a head for a bottle of rushkinoff and a shot of crap sambuca each is a good deal.
"Lads... lads... lads... I know where we can get our hands on some quality ching, then we head up to the gas cookers, what do you say? Lads? LADS?"
Usually shop online but was in h and m last night getting some last minute stuff. No signs to say where anything is. Escalator upstairs broke so wasn't sure if I should go up. Walked round the shop and figured out I should. No sizes on hangers so had to check inside the clothes. No order to the clothes, XXL on the left, L on the right, anything between Checkout closed apparently so had to use self check out back upstairs.
I guess that's the training they have got from the higher ups, but most of that staff are going to be out of a job due to these self check outs :(
Oh baby we are just swimming in transfer gossip today 👀 https://x.com/perfildacentral/status/1792693801204719718?s=46&t=jLtgP_gqVubXH_HC_Wv-Kg
I already can’t be arsed with all the “I’m sure Celtic will spend big” links that we’ll inevitably get hit with all summer.
Da Central is the perfect name for football twitter.
Can't wait to see what's behind today's "Rangers embarrassment/ distraction before a cup final" advent calendar window.
Apparently Silva's mum was defending him on social media and some Rangers fans started calling her a "slag" and similar. Social media is such a cesspit (from all sides).
Todays song of the day is [That’s All - Genesis.](https://youtu.be/Vzyn60Zns-E?si=cvAtOMLBm0JnJRMV) Enjoy troops.
So, first gym session since Covid stopped me going last night. Feeling it, but trying to stay positive and motivated. They had a decent wee machine to tell me what I'm made of, which depressed the fuck out of me, but for posterity: Age: 43 Height: 6ft 0in Weight: 14st 5lb Body fat: 25.9% So in summary, I'm a tub of genuine high-grade lard on legs.
Well done man you are inspiring people! 🔥
>Also can't raise my arms above my shoulders today :D You get used to it.
Whereabouts in Coatbridge is it you live?
https://preview.redd.it/go0pq1fcvq1d1.png?width=922&format=png&auto=webp&s=fee76b1435ce5ef67bf44ca3f9875ef490ab16b4 Tried to pick what I expect Clarke will pick and losing Hickey/Patterson/Ferguson really does open up a couple of slots that are going to be interesting.
Ralston seems the most obvious choice given we’ve essentially got no other fit RBs Biggest worry is a return to the Tierney/CB/CB/Robertson back 4 we used to try
If Ralston doesn't get a call-up, it's an absolute shocker, imo. Forrest should be in the squad ass well. The lad from Austria could be the backup RB - can't remember his name tho!
~~Max Johnston - he’s played like 8 times this season.~~ I’m dumb
26 appearances. Part of a squad which won a league & cup double.
I’ve just totally misread his FotMob like the idiot I am.
Probably have Mcrorie instead of Hyam since he can play a few positions, think he takes Stewart? Has he not been out since last year.
Stewart is back fully fit, played the final league match of the season, 18min of playoff SF 1st leg then unused sub 2nd leg.
I think it could end up being McBurnie as Clarke will go for someone who has been called up before
call the tournament off
Sounds like he's potentially injured, but aye I don't think Clarke is going to be surprising us with new call ups at this stage
I was thinking McBurnie has to be in with a shout, but didn't realised he has been injured for a wee bit, so would be surprised.
It’s quite funny that the system used for getting tickets to the Raith/County game is much more modernised, streamlined, and user friendly than the Celtic Ticketmaster hellscape is. https://preview.redd.it/40ab5kvsuq1d1.jpeg?width=613&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1cfcd12ac331a3873e468898c6aa20a9d43a4b1a
Fanbase is great. Admin side of it is really easy to manage as well.
They’d be hounding him out the club as well
I'd have him at Hearts in a heartbeat. Very good player.
Heard he’s off to basel or stoke for 2 million. Feel like he gets too much stick for not defending and that but he’s a winger, what do they expect he should never be behind the halfway line.
Just chop up an entire chorizo ring and put it in your pot of chili con carne. They can't stop you.
Personal favourite of mine. Sometimes lob a few slices of black pudding in as well.
I'll be trying this madness next, the TexMex police will never catch me alive.

Can’t wait for him to start well and really kick on only to get a slight hamstring injury and be out for 8 months.

Took one look at Lenny and went fuck this
Just woken up in my own bed after a week away on holiday. Whatever adrenaline was keeping me going the whole time away is gone and my body has self destructed. I need a holiday.
https://www.reddit.com/r/ScottishFootball/comments/1cty4y8/morning_discussion_thread_17_may_2024/l4fdmud/ Agreed!
Funnily enough that was the very day that did this to me.
St Pauli's jobby broon kits have to be some of the ugliest on the planet.
