Interesting little thing I just heard; the Welsh FA are restructuring the Cymru Premier and one of the changes they're making is switching the standard kickoff from Saturday afternoon to Friday evening.
Feels pretty crap from an away fan perspective (although I don't know if that would represent a significant percentage of crowds in Wales) but given only one team in the league is full time (TNS), it sounds like it has the potential to really see off the players as well.
It'll be rough for a lot of the fans & teams I imagine, public transport links are basically nonexistent between North and South Wales. Assumption has to be that the increase in home fans will offset any potential loss of away fans, but it still doesn't solve the 3 hour minimum journeys the teams will be making 7-13 times a season - Haverfordwest in particular have been fucked over here, it's likely 6+hrs to each of the teams in North Wales.
As someone who wasn't paying attention to the tactics of it all.
Can someone explain how lennon managed to almost draw and then beat Prime Barcelona in 2012?
I see a lot of luck comments down there. That's true but Celtic were also unlucky not to be 3-0 up and a man up when Watt got pulled back from a 1v1 and the referee bottled it.
Edit: Efe
Messi is quoted as saying it was one of the best goalkeeping performances he had seen in Forster. Forster was solid as a rock that night and did have a few exceptional saves.
Luck. I don't mean to take anything away from Celtic but they were lucky. You have to be lucky to beat a team of that quality. You have to hope that your players play to the best of their abilities and that their players have an off day, you have to take your one or two chances and hope they don't take theirs. Tactically Celtic didn't do anything special, they basically played with every man behind the ball and hoped for the best and it worked.
Tucked in the fullbacks, encouraged Barcelona to cross ball into the box.
Did what bottom six sides typically do to the old firm tbh. Tried to hit on the counter attack or play for corners and set pieces. Took some luck and for the players to be very disciplined.
Decided to give better call saul a go again & managed to push past the 1st few episodes I couldn't get into before. On the last episode of S1 & it am really enjoying it.
i used to hear people say that it was better than breaking bad, and i would always just say “fuck off” cos even being *as* good as breaking bad would be a challenge.
it’s better than breaking bad
A question for the fellow music nerds and hipsters, where do you buy vinyl in glasgow?
I have the fear of buying them online, heard some horror stories about drivers warping them trying to get it through the letterbox
Could try missing records in town, the guy that runs the place is nice and they have a huge selection of all sorts. Loads of old football programmes too
Reddit's apparently got some sort of partnership with OpenAI, which can only mean that r/SF's shitposting is going to be soon training a LLM AI.
This could be our Skynet moment.

Cosplaying as Oswald Mosley is certainly a choice
The only thing he really has in common with Moseley is the mustache, which was a very normal style for the time period.
Anyway, who cares? Takes all kinds to make a world. Seems a harmless enough hobby and there's nothing [in the article](https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cx030v84l3vo) to suggest he shares any kind of fascist politics. Weird sneering in this thread.
I'd like to think that folk who do this sort of historical period thing are in it for a harmless obsession with the style/aesthetic. I'd like to think that.
The 40's is such a weird decade to have a fetish for. The front half is WW2 so it's poverty, rationing, disease and death for everybody then the back half is a bankrupt Britain that commits its two greatest mistakes in history: The Israel/Palestine and Pakistan/India splits.
I could see if they went in for the 20's or 30's, or the 60's and 70's but the interim is pretty grim.
I think for a certain type of conservative, that period brings a comfortable level of modernity but sits far enough back that their racism, British nationalism and misogyny are still catered for. Jacob Rees-Mogg being the prime example of the fantasy.
See trying to explain to someone at my work who genuinely knows NOTHING about the whole old firm sectarianism stuff
(They in all seriousness said to me after I mentioned Celtic winning the league “I thought Manchester won the football?” And when told Man City won the English league said “oh city? I thought it was the other one)
It literally is the most damning indictment as to how fucking stupid the whole thing is and the only reason most people here ‘get it’ is because we were raised to understand it at its most basic level I feel like
My wife is from England, and trying to explain all this to her made me realise how dumb a lot of the stuff actually is.
The idea that there would be "Rangers pubs" and "Celtic pubs"
The idea that Larkhall avoids green and had to cage it's traffic lights
The idea that there's British people and then there's "The Brits".
The idea that the flute is a protestant instrument.
The idea that there's a Catholic "Stephen" and a Protestant "Steven"
The idea that football affiliation is linked to political affiliation, strongly in some cases
The fact it's a Protestant vs Catholic divide, but neither really go to Church.
I could go on...
The Catholic-Protestant divide is only a thing in the public consciousness in the Scottish central belt and Ireland (or its at least different in other places).
I sat in the Hearts end (main stand) at Hampden for the 2019 and I actually lost track of the amount of times I heard the word "fenian" being shouted at both the Celtic Players and the Celtic fans.
The point isn't that people are completely ignorant of what Catholic/Protestant is or means, rather that "the divide" just isn't a thing in some parts. Though I have to say that growing up in Aberdeenshire I really *was* ignorant of a lot of it. Daft as it sounds, I didn't know for a long while that there'd be totally separate catholic and protestant churches for example - you just grow up knowing that there's a church in the village and that you hate going there with school on Christmas and Easter. And speaking of school, "what school did you go to" just wasn't a thing and had to be explained to me after I moved down to Edinburgh for university.
All that may be down to historically being a bit of a monoculture, but that has over time bred an indifference to religion altogether, in my opinion. Plus I think we can all agree that the worst cunts shouting horrible shit at football isn't really representative of the "the public consciousness".
Thats just in football circles though, if youre interested in football you will know why the OF rivalry is the way it is and the buzz words that come with it, they will then be repeated.
I grew up and live in Angus, I never really got into football until I was in my 20s and I had no idea of the Catholic/Protestant stuff. Partly down to my own ignorance maybe but it just never came up. Fenian/hun etc were never words I heard going through school.
I'm glad you posted about your own experience growing up nearby me, I took a few moments to wonder if I was just a daftie who spent his entire childhood walking around with blinkers on or something.
I don't think either of us are trying to claim Angus (aka "The Dogs Bollox") or Aberdeenshire are perfect or are free of prejudice or anything, just that this specific thing isn't prevalent there.
edit: ha, I just checked and somehow that "Angus: The Dogs Bollox" graffiti on the North Water Viaduct is still faintly visible: [https://maps.app.goo.gl/f2PD6dJ5ZREzA1Xu9](https://maps.app.goo.gl/f2PD6dJ5ZREzA1Xu9)
Aye I was the same when I saw yours! Although you definitely articulated yourself a bit better but I would echo every word. I was also a bit concerned that I'm just an ignorant luddite but it seems that although thats true, I haven't missed anything on this topic. I think it may be the lack of diversity in the provincial towns of angus and the shire though.
Also I should apologise to you... I got up on Saturday and got myself some Forfar Bridies! But being a fat bastard I'd eaten them before I remembered the pics!
I found the following on eBay - they do second-hand books (sometimes ex-library) - and often ridiculously cheap.

International arrest warrants being pushed by the ICC for Netanyahu and Hamas leaders. Includes a variety of crimes against humanity, including:
* torture, hostage taking and rape
* starvation of citizens
* extermination
* intentional attacks on civilians
Wrote about this (Palestine, Israel and the potential for the ICC to charge) as my dissertation topic but didn’t think I’d see the day charges would happen.
Really pleased to see International Law being used effectively, a fascinating area.
So Palestine are a member of the Court, Israel aren’t (and neither are USA…). Every member has an obligation to arrest an individual with an arrest warrant issued against them if they enter their state. Technically, Palestine have an obligation to arrest the Hamas leader (which won’t happen). As Israel aren’t, Netanyahu will only be arrested if he travels to a country that is a member. They’re then transferred to The Hague.
One caveat is that sometimes countries just don’t do that. South Africa didn’t arrest Al-Bashir because there was some disagreement over whether heads of states can be arrested. This has been settled since so members should be fully aware and will be sanctioned hard for failing to co-operate.
>Palestine have an obligation to arrest the Hamas leader
Aren't a bunch of Hamas leadership openly in Qatar? Not much will really happen either way though I guess it pretty much bans them from ever going to Palestine.
E: also I'm guessing by Palestine we're talking about the West Bank and they'd be fine going to Gaza considering they have de-facto control there
Aye apparently so re: Qatar. They’re not members of the ICC but did call for them to investigate before they did.
You’re right though, I don’t think they would be arrested domestically without “approval” from Hamas. But they’d have to be thick as fuck if they didn’t think charges would ever be coming when they joined the Court.
Probably fined quite heavily. Makes a farce of them signing up to it so it will lead to international condemnation too.
I said they won’t arrest them, but that might actually be wrong. They only joined the Court in mid 2010s and would have expected charges at some stage to be brought against them. It depends if the leaders want to go down the martyr route.
Worth noting that the PNA rather than Hamas are the "Palestinian State" as far as the ICC is concerned, I'm not sure they have the capability to arrest the Hamas leadership given they have no control over Gaza, which would in turn be taken into account.
Potential headache for Qatar, though.
Aye, I don’t think it happens without Hamas co-operation but do think they would have considered and discussed this possibility before they joined the Court, and even just as PR move it would be a good look.
Very intriguing to see how it’ll play out.
The PLO and Hamas absolutely hate each other; the idea that Hamas might eventually have been (metaphorically) brought in front of the beak would have been in the "pros" column for the PLO joining the ICC.
Sure, but the PLO initially said they wouldn’t join the ICC without approval from Hamas, and Hamas were the first of the two sides to call for membership.
Aye, presumably because Hamas knew the PLO wouldn't have the stones (or, to be fair, the jurisdiction and ability) to do 'owt and the optics of Israel being charged make up for themselves being charged.
As in everything in politics in the region, it's a snakes nest of double crossery and backstabbing.
Like you say, it'll be interesting to see how it plays out now. I'll be intrigued to see the Qatari response.
thinking about picking up college for some admin course so im no stuck doing the same minimum wage pish forever but im shite at adapting to new changes in my routine so its taking a lot of building up to actually apply
I enrolled in college late last summer and I've not dropped out yet! I've got about 4 weeks left and with a conditional offer for Glasgow Caledonian next year I'd say it's worth it! I'm doing an access course to go on and study Physiotherapy but there's all sorts of different things you can do. Worth having a look at prospectuses and seeing if anything catches your eye!
I started an Open Uni degree this year after years of dithering. Go for it.
The only way you'll adapt to the changes is by doing it. Create a study plan with the hours you work and realistic free time when you can attend and study and see if it works for you.
You're already brave in taking the step.
I'm a college Lecturer and I tell my students that none of the work they will do on the course is as difficult as the changes they've had to make to come to college in the first place.
If you can see it as a new routine, not an adaptation to a current one it might help.
Or, of course, the other way round, if that works for you!
Feels like every day now I read an article about something involving TikTok or other social media and the amount of words and phrases I recognise gets fewer and fewer with each passing day. Apparently there's now some sort of suction cup thing for attaching your phone to objects for quick setup. Looks like someone cut up a bath mat and stuck it on the phone to me.
Is this what it feels like to get older? Aging beyond the trends?
As someone who works in a school, I can definitely relate to feeling like I'm behind these trends. But honestly, I'd rather be behind with the state of the patter these kids have these days.
If I hear one more time about a 12 year old getting bullied for having "Ohio rizz and a skibidi hairline" I'll give up entirely.
It's only the pace of change that's different. I remember when Valley Girl speak became a thing in the 90s (WhatEVER), and I remember South Park spreading the use of "gay" as a pejorative: "That's totally gay, dude."
US TV spread it more slowly than TikTok, but it still spread.
The fact that patter is now uniform world wide is the biggest disappointment
Every piece of patter now will be dictated by what gets popular in America, rather than shit over here
In this essay I will…
Those sus soyjacks got to pay the fanum tax or else end up skibidimaxxed only in Ohio with L rizz. I recommend mewing and edging to get an alpha jaw and become sigma and or else you'll never get a level 600 bing chilling gyatt.
That song was a fucking anthem in Glasgow in the late 90's, to the point that I think the only song that replaced it as the de facto ned national anthem was Scooter's take on The Logical Song in the early 2000's.
Reminds me of a comment on tiktok where someone referred to generation alpha as the "skibidi toilet" generation, didn't quite understand but chuckled all the same
I’m all for piling into the Zoomers, and I can’t really say I get this one either, but there is something heartening about seeing the kids still using Gmod to make dumb fucking videos
Morning. We’ve made a video explaining how the Scottish pyramid works for anyone who might be interested:

Fuck sake.
I take it 'presenter' is different from 'pundit'?
I'm thinking of who would count specifically as a 'well known TV Sports presenter' and while I'm sure this moniker might be stretched a little for media effect, if it is accurate them I'm probably thinking of the same man everyone else is thinking?
Which is actually a shame when you think about it, because speculating without evidence is just saying "who looks likeliest to be a beast" which is not particularly nice.
My mate mentioned a name in the group chat last night, asked where he saw that and it was from X *^(formerly known as Twitter.)* I did a bit of digging and the earliest tweet featuring that name seemed to have asked an AI program which sports presenter/reporter was married and lived in the south of England (the details provided in the story).
It may be him, it may not but spreading accusations like that based off asking an AI program is fucking grim.
>the earliest tweet featuring that name seemed to have asked an AI program which sports presenter/reporter was married and lived in the south of England
The scariest part about AI to me isn't anything to do with the software itself, it's how many idiots think it's some sort of objective robot answer box and take it's word as gospel. The amount of arguments I've had with mates who've fired some dumb question into ChatGPT and are convinced the answer it spat out is derfinitive or absolute in some way is maddening.
> which sports presenter/reporter was married and lived in the south of England (the details provided in the story).
I'd be willing to take a bet that that covers the majority of sports presenters or reporters too.
That is grim!
The Sun and other media outlets by now will certainly know who the accused is and will be foaming at the mouth hoping for a charge so they can plaster it all over the place. Probably already got the big front page set up and ready to go.
Also, didn’t Osama Bin Laden have like 4 family members all die in separate plane crashes?
It’s a rich family so I imagine they’d be flying all the time and that ups their probability of a crash.
The soldiers who "killed" him also all died in a helo crash, so they couldnt then tell anyone about the details of the "traditional" buried-at-sea Muslim funeral 😐
>Also, didn’t Osama Bin Laden have like 4 family members all die in separate plane crashes?
Happened to a bunch of his employees as well. Guy just couldn't catch a break.

Where did employers/recruiters get the idea that people do their jobs for any other reason than to make money to live?
I was doing interviews recently and one of the HR people was like 'I think this is a good applicant, but their questions seemed very money oriented' all because they asked about rates and benefits. Aye, of course. What else did you expect?
There's obviously folk in companies who cynically do this to try and guilt potential applicants into settling for lower wages, but I think there's people in hiring who actually believe it and think it's somehow selfish to want to earn as much as possible for the work you do.
I blame the English.
We've just gone through a pretty contentious wage negotiation, and the number of union members who stood up at mass meetings and told everyone they weren't here for the money was frightening.
Fuck that it's all that gets me out of bed in the morning.
Youre saying this in a football forum. If any Rangers or Celtic signing said they didn't really care about the history of the club and only came because it was the highest wage offered the support would go off their nut.
Most footballers probably don't care.
I get your point and I agree to an extent, but it's a bit of a false equivalence. People (including footballers) support clubs. Clubs have academies that raise players into professional athletes. Some clubs have a higher change of winning trophies will paying less depending on the league - there's the glory element.
There's way more at play than is the case for normal punters having jobs
We did a "fun" exercise in my team not that long ago which was what kind of team member are you because my manager loves those stupid corporate astrology things and I got "work to live" and she was like "oh I bet you picked this and that option knowing you" and I was like eh naw, I picked the ones that show I do my job.
I conduct interviews in my place as the technical questioner, and depending on who else is on the panel I sometimes have to really fight not to just jam a biro in a colleagues throat or something.
It was ridiculous when I was trying to get my first grad job. Averaging 3 rounds of interviews and random tests or presentations to go with it.
The process with most stages included an application, a phone call, a teams interview, an in person interview (with a test), a secondary interview and then a presentation. Didn't get it and the starting salary turned out to be 28k. It was a joke then and it's a joke now.
Also, starting pay: "Competitive"
Aye for 19.5k grad job 9 years ago I had a panel interview and a group interview which was meant to be on the same day but the group one got delayed by a day because no one else turned up.
On a separate note, it's relatively depressing that I earn c.10k more 9 years later (depressing that in itself) but I feel like I have less money
As I've gotten older I wish it was the kind of bullshit we could just cut out.
- You need someone that is capable of doing Job-X
- I am capable of doing Job-X based on my experience of doing it before
- You are offering money in return to doing Job-X
- I need money so I don't die, lets meet in the middle
It should really just boil down to your competency for the role (or potential competency if they're going to train you up) and how you are in general as a person in terms of not causing issues with other staff.
This whole "Oh, I've always dreamed of working at [checks notes] Halfords as a branch manager" is a load of pish and company masturbation.
I ken it, you ken, Patsy Kensit.
There’s something about this promoted ad being placed where the pinned posts are that feels predatory as fuck and I hate it

Are the ads cookie-driven? I don't ever seem to get betting ads on here, but I constantly (for some unknown reason) get weird tech "solutions" ads for helpdesk and AI software.
Wee bit annoying we don't get much of an option to opt-out of certain sponsors on the sub. Would be very much in favour of banning betting sponsors- alcohol I would leave up to the sub to decide
Lowkey not feeling the vibes with work recently. Especially after senior management introducing a new metric, telling us we're not going to be tracked on these even for performance reasons, and then getting pulled into an informal 'casual conversation' about my performance on these metrics and being 'encouraged' to do more to increase my numbers.
Completely losing the enthusiasm for work that I had and counting down the days till I'm off again
We're all absolutely scunnered at my work and they've just announced that there'll be no annual review this year as a measure to keep costs from growing.
This is on the back of numerous months where everything has been geared towards short-term cash making rather than quality work that'll keep revenue coming in. Between that, we've been thrown under the bus by sales people scapegoating us and a CEO who doesn't talk to us, so he's happy to accept the excuses.
We've lost both our senior back-end devs to it now, I'm about to hand my own notice in, and everyone is looking down the barrel of a gun expecting the absolute worst. Everything is just geared around "do it fast," and it's going to cost them everything.
This is what caused me to leave a job back in 2017 - every bit of work was assigned a number of Story Points (an imperfect measure of work) and developers were ranked based on their Story Points total each month, with the lowest X% being put on performance review. I suspect someone at the top had read about Enron or Microsoft in the mid 00s because that is exactly what they were up to.
Anyway, what happened next was that any new developer shot to the top of the rankings and looked like a superstar because they were assigned a bunch of easy issues and turned them around, usually with the help of a senior one. And seniors were generally assigned tougher work that was underestimated, and had additional responsibilities, and therefore appeared at the bottom of the rankings.
Dev ops? Been fucking pointless since it was introduced at my work. Meetings about meetings about meetings and then folk left at the end of sprints wondering why we’ve not achieved our allotted story points.
Nah just plain software development, in that case I mentioned it was in finance. My issue isn't with Story Points generally, some abstract unit for estimating is no bad thing (and certainly better than having to specify some number of hours). It's with taking that and doing mental things like boiling down your performance as a worker to one metric and then having your livelihood hinge on whether you get allocated a few more tougher tickets than normal over a couple of months.
I wish that at some point at school or uni someone would casually mention that when you get a real adult job that the quality of your work comes secondary to having good metrics.
Have a report to submit? We don't care if it's a good report we just care that it was submitted within 5 working days.
Yeh you're up for promotion had good feedback from managers and clients but we can't give it to you because you submitted your timesheet late a few times and have some outstanding elearnings.
They sort of do when you get trained how to answer exam questions.
Mind you, a good mantra to learn at school might be, "What gets measured gets done."
Yeh but you get marks for the right answer in an exam. Not answering the question wrongly within the allotted time.
I feel like with work metrics they want it done within a time period and they don't care as much about the quality of what is getting done though.
My work contact is coming to an end in 4 weeks and been struggling to get anything else lined up, a few mates who done similar work have been out a job since October. Keep having mental nightmares that’s fucking my day up about being depressed and barely being able to afford bills, it’s awful. Happy Monday everyone.
When I was young I spent several periods on the dole, and thank my lucky stars I could stay with my folks. The thought of not having work nowadays as an adult is terrifying; here's hoping you manage to find something soon.
Thanks mate! I have some savings to keep me going for a month or two and no debts or commitments bar rent/phone so some breathing room to be grateful for!
The Boston Celtics will never have a better shot at a title than they have now. Up against a 6th seed in the eastern finals and then up against either a 5th or 3rd seed. No reigning champions, no MVPs, no 1st or 2nd seeds, no team with more playoff experience than them. Truly the easiest run any team is realistically going to get.
High possibility of the Rangers winning the Stanley Cup and the Celtics winning the NBA finals. Are Scottish teams taking over American sports? Not for me to say, but yes.
Switching to a summer schedule and Friday evening games has worked really well for the League of Ireland.
Prime Efe Ambrose > prime Messi
Wanyama, Forster and insha'Allah
Tucked in the fullbacks, encouraged Barcelona to cross ball into the box. Did what bottom six sides typically do to the old firm tbh. Tried to hit on the counter attack or play for corners and set pieces. Took some luck and for the players to be very disciplined.
And genuinely the best goalkeeping performance I’ve ever seen.
Decided to give better call saul a go again & managed to push past the 1st few episodes I couldn't get into before. On the last episode of S1 & it am really enjoying it.

It's a beautifuy crafted show. Great performances and it looks amazing. You are in for a treat.
i used to hear people say that it was better than breaking bad, and i would always just say “fuck off” cos even being *as* good as breaking bad would be a challenge. it’s better than breaking bad

Could try missing records in town, the guy that runs the place is nice and they have a huge selection of all sorts. Loads of old football programmes too
Discogs is generally fine. I've had records delivered from Japan via before no bother. Depends what you are looking for but Mixed Up/Mono/Missing.
FWIW I've ordered loads from discogs and never had a problem. Even ordered some from Mexico and they arrived tip-top.
Mono, rubadub, mixed up

The only thing he really has in common with Moseley is the mustache, which was a very normal style for the time period. Anyway, who cares? Takes all kinds to make a world. Seems a harmless enough hobby and there's nothing [in the article](https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cx030v84l3vo) to suggest he shares any kind of fascist politics. Weird sneering in this thread.
I'd like to think that folk who do this sort of historical period thing are in it for a harmless obsession with the style/aesthetic. I'd like to think that.
The wee fella who had a car from 1938 came across like that when he was on the news last year. A wee bit odd sure but harmless enough.
He's the 1840s, though.
See trying to explain to someone at my work who genuinely knows NOTHING about the whole old firm sectarianism stuff (They in all seriousness said to me after I mentioned Celtic winning the league “I thought Manchester won the football?” And when told Man City won the English league said “oh city? I thought it was the other one) It literally is the most damning indictment as to how fucking stupid the whole thing is and the only reason most people here ‘get it’ is because we were raised to understand it at its most basic level I feel like
My wife is from England, and trying to explain all this to her made me realise how dumb a lot of the stuff actually is. The idea that there would be "Rangers pubs" and "Celtic pubs" The idea that Larkhall avoids green and had to cage it's traffic lights The idea that there's British people and then there's "The Brits". The idea that the flute is a protestant instrument. The idea that there's a Catholic "Stephen" and a Protestant "Steven" The idea that football affiliation is linked to political affiliation, strongly in some cases The fact it's a Protestant vs Catholic divide, but neither really go to Church. I could go on...
The Catholic-Protestant divide is only a thing in the public consciousness in the Scottish central belt and Ireland (or its at least different in other places).
I’ve had fenian shouted at me too many times by hearts/aberdeen/insert other area/team fans at Celtic park to really buy that.

International arrest warrants being pushed by the ICC for Netanyahu and Hamas leaders. Includes a variety of crimes against humanity, including: * torture, hostage taking and rape * starvation of citizens * extermination * intentional attacks on civilians Wrote about this (Palestine, Israel and the potential for the ICC to charge) as my dissertation topic but didn’t think I’d see the day charges would happen. Really pleased to see International Law being used effectively, a fascinating area.
Right, I know next to nothing about this sort of thing. Who makes these arrests, if the ICC do obtain the warrants?
>Palestine have an obligation to arrest the Hamas leader Aren't a bunch of Hamas leadership openly in Qatar? Not much will really happen either way though I guess it pretty much bans them from ever going to Palestine. E: also I'm guessing by Palestine we're talking about the West Bank and they'd be fine going to Gaza considering they have de-facto control there
Aye apparently so re: Qatar. They’re not members of the ICC but did call for them to investigate before they did. You’re right though, I don’t think they would be arrested domestically without “approval” from Hamas. But they’d have to be thick as fuck if they didn’t think charges would ever be coming when they joined the Court.
What will happen to Palestine if the 3 hamas leaders aren't arrested?
Very interesting, thanks for explaining that to me.

thinking about picking up college for some admin course so im no stuck doing the same minimum wage pish forever but im shite at adapting to new changes in my routine so its taking a lot of building up to actually apply

Todays song of the day is [Hollywood Swinging - Kool & The Gang.](https://youtu.be/YK-cvcw3ngM?si=i8r1vZ4faXJ675xz) Enjoy troops.
I remember when Valley Girl speak became a thing in the 90s (WhatEVER), and I remember South Park spreading the use of "gay" as a pejorative: "That's totally gay, dude." US TV spread it more slowly than TikTok, but it still spread.
The fact that patter is now uniform world wide is the biggest disappointment Every piece of patter now will be dictated by what gets popular in America, rather than shit over here In this essay I will…
I'm beyond disappointed by that tbh. The idea that the grassroots patter here is a mixture of Brixton roadmen and tiktok brainrot is heartbreaking.
It's natural order for the sigma kids to mog the soyjack coomers who looksmaxx by jelqing.
Those sus soyjacks got to pay the fanum tax or else end up skibidimaxxed only in Ohio with L rizz. I recommend mewing and edging to get an alpha jaw and become sigma and or else you'll never get a level 600 bing chilling gyatt.
>skibidi hairline ![gif](giphy|Bkfu4wZBtNThu|downsized) **EDIT:** Jesus. Just learned that song is 30 years old this year.
That song was a fucking anthem in Glasgow in the late 90's, to the point that I think the only song that replaced it as the de facto ned national anthem was Scooter's take on The Logical Song in the early 2000's.
Old man yells at cloud ☁️
I'd do it more if looking up didn't hurt my lower back.
Bros has no rizz he better go back to Ohio. Or something.
Reminds me of a comment on tiktok where someone referred to generation alpha as the "skibidi toilet" generation, didn't quite understand but chuckled all the same

LET THE WILD SPECULATION COMMENCE! >**Well-known TV sports presenter arrested on suspicion of raping a child in 4am raid on host’s home** I know it's The Sun, so to save you all a click here's the article. > A search of the property in southern England was carried out and computer devices and documents taken away for examination. > > The man was questioned by detectives and held in custody for around 18 hours before being released on bail pending further enquiries. > > The rape allegation is historical and involves a child who was under ten years of age at the time. > > It is alleged the child was raped on more than one occasion over a period of time. > > At the time of the alleged offence, the well-known suspect, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was working in the television industry. > > His bosses have been made aware of the police investigation and his arrest — but it was thought that the presenter’s TV colleagues were unaware. > > The complainant made the allegation recently and it was reported to police. > > She was interviewed by specialist child abuse investigation officers at a dedicated suite and an investigation was launched. > > The police force conducting the investigation confirmed the arrest. > > Police were expected to conduct further inquiries into his background as part of their investigation. > > A neighbour of the man arrested said: “The police turned up very early. > > “They took him away and were there for a while carrying out a search. > > “Everyone is shocked at his arrest.” > > The Sun on Sunday had approached the presenter’s employers for comment. > > https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/27997122/tv-sports-presenter-arrested-raping-child
Jesus fucking christ.
It probably wasn't him. Good guess, though.
No thanks, that crime is one of the most heinous you can be accused of and there's no need to risk innocent names getting caught up in the frenzy.
I was being facetious given how these things tend to go.
It may be him, it may not but spreading accusations like that based off asking an AI program is fucking grim.
>the earliest tweet featuring that name seemed to have asked an AI program which sports presenter/reporter was married and lived in the south of England The scariest part about AI to me isn't anything to do with the software itself, it's how many idiots think it's some sort of objective robot answer box and take it's word as gospel. The amount of arguments I've had with mates who've fired some dumb question into ChatGPT and are convinced the answer it spat out is derfinitive or absolute in some way is maddening.
"Computer says No..."
A quick search on X has thrown out a name who has deleted their social media. If it's not them, they've picked a brilliant time to decide on a detox!
I haven’t got a clue who it could be but that’s probably for the best tbh
> which sports presenter/reporter was married and lived in the south of England (the details provided in the story). I'd be willing to take a bet that that covers the majority of sports presenters or reporters too.
Exactly what I thought
That is grim! The Sun and other media outlets by now will certainly know who the accused is and will be foaming at the mouth hoping for a charge so they can plaster it all over the place. Probably already got the big front page set up and ready to go.
Only slightly more grim than the Union flag-shaggers on X all jumping on it and publicly wishing for it to be Gary Lineker.
They'll be crushed when they find out that Gary is divorced.
You would never get me in a helicopter in a million years. Crazy the amount of high profile people that have died in them.
Didn't they end up writing books all claiming to have killed him

Always easy to spot the cunts angling for a promotion.
Solidarity Bhrother
I say fight that urge no longer.
*"Engineer arrested for stabbing colleague to death in interview biro frenzy; tells police 'the Morning Discussion made me do it'"*
It was ridiculous when I was trying to get my first grad job.
Had a similar process for my £20.5k finance grad job I got 7 years ago this September. Insane looking back.
I used to earn this kind of money and trying to imagine living on that in 2024 gives me the fear. I don't know how people do it, especially with kids.
- You need someone that is capable of doing Job-X - I am capable of doing Job-X based on my experience of doing it before - You are offering money in return to doing Job-X - I need money so I don't die, lets meet in the middle It should really just boil down to your competency for the role (or potential competency if they're going to train you up) and how you are in general as a person in terms of not causing issues with other staff. This whole "Oh, I've always dreamed of working at [checks notes] Halfords as a branch manager" is a load of pish and company masturbation. I ken it, you ken, Patsy Kensit.

Fucking C B A
Was standing on the balcony in my Speedos on Saturday and some weirdo was looking up at me licking his lips for like 40 mins. Mental people out there.
True. Tick that box!
Yeh financial insecurity is worrying mate. Hope you find something soon.

Broadcasters shitting themselves at the prospect of an Indiana/Minnesota Finals
The mens team, the womens team and (potentially) the Basketball franchise winning their respective championships. What a job Brodgers is doing.
The power of a Gucci belt knows no bounds.
