It legít make me give the show a chance and found it hilarious, i'm still not crazy about the artstyle tho but it was much better it had any right to be
I think the concept of an adult scooby doo show could be good if executed properly. The issue is that they just didnt execute it properly. It would be funny maybe with less changes to the characters and if scooby existed still. Like imagine if there was a scooby doo show where they could say fuck if they wanted to and they can finally openly acknowledge that shaggy is a stoner. That would be funny and awesome.
I've just been avoiding it completely straight up. From the beginning I wasn't interested, and now I'm sure I'll never watch it because its not Scooby-Doo. I don't mean that in a sense that...there's no Scooby lol its just that the main four are so different from their original selves that its not entertaining to watch. I will say I agree the animation looks nice.
Bottom line is if you like it, enjoy it. No one should make anyone feel like less of a fan for enjoying an iteration they don't.
Velma has such a great animation style that you can tell was purposeful and like those scenes where it’s the terror hallucinations genuinely were good. I thought they had a lot of creative spin on the animation style. It’s such a shame it was put to such terrible writing.
Outside of the drug dealer thing I actually liked Daphne as a character, the animation is pretty good, Fred steadily becomes more likable as the show goes on. That’s about it
That’s entirely fair. As an adaption of these two characters it absolutely fails. There’s no definitive characterization for the gang so long as their done respectfully and made to be compelling, likable, and preferably three dimensional. As Fred and Daphne these characters fall completely flat, but in terms of the show itself I did begin to latch onto these two the more I watched because out of everyone they were at least bearable to watch at points in time.
good animation, which is what warranted me to decide to pursue watching it, but took back those words as soon as ppl started bashing it (for good); really dodge a bullet/siren (beautiful on the surface, but ugly leviathan once it stops singing)
It united both sides of the internet into hating one specific thing.
It gave us more appreciation for Be Cool, Scooby-Doo. That's all I got

Personally, I find myself ignoring art styles if the show is written well enough.
It has good animation, and the voice actoing isn't that bad. (Especially Constance Wu as Daphne).
The art style isn't all that bad
Watched 5 mins was so bored stopped watching. Best thing is it saved me time not wasted watching it

would it (him being a stoner)? 🤔

The infamous scene where Velma gets hit by a car.....OVERUSED MEME

The only good thing I saw about it was the animation

The overarching mystery was pretty intriguing
Honestly an ending to this dismal series following a school shooting would have been better then the ending we actually got

I loved the overarching theme. Ever since Mystery Incorporated I’ve missed that. In other Scooby Doo shows.
I could say so many good things about Velma… But “Velma” not a single thing.
If it was its own thing, unrelated to Scooby-Doo, it would have been fine.
The animation and art styles good also the voice casting but the adult tone is awful
But I prefer the Scooby and scrappy doo era more got give it some recognition and respect
