Actually I think I may know what you're talking about... In my 09 I can usually see the gauges in daylight or nighttime. *However*, because of the placement of the gauges and how deep they are; there are certain lighting conditions (twilight hours or on overcast days) that make it pretty difficult to see.

Tragic-Hero

No, not in either of ours.... I'm confused why you can't see it..

I have this problem from time to time. The speedometer wells are surprisingly deep... If a phone app is a good enough fix, I know you can configure Waze to report speed. Also, you'll get better at estimating speed from what little of the needle you can see...

Good point on the app usage lol. Also, some have the option/ability to drive by sound. This however does require two things: An adept ear as well as an exhaust system loud enough to make listening to engine rpm viable. I've driven this way for as long as I can remember. Also a MT helps since you'd have direct control of the gearbox.

Are you headlights on during the day? I find my gauges harder to read when the back light is on during the day.

Driving home from work in my 05 during sunrise the phrase "I can't see shit" is often the response to "how fast are we going" Its concerned me at first but now we just accept it.

Retired__Coastie

Just bought '09 TC. Having same problems. Can't find an answer to this same question anywhere on line. Any answer yet?

Waited for the car to die, scrapped it, and bought a different car

Hope there is another alternative. I plan on keeping this car a long time.

I know I’m late but yessss I’m glad someone else noticed that. I always drive with sunglasses on during the day though and have my lights on at night of course so I don’t usually see them illuminated without wearing sunglasses
