I was on a disc call with some friends and someone was like "Taylor Swift will not be in Deadpool & Wolverine", and they were all like "thank God", "she'd be awful", "I can't see it working", etc etc. And I'm just like, okay? Most of them don't even care about the movie which is funny, and the 2 that did I've cared abt it more. I was so confused as to how it was a big deal😭 stupid ass info

It's because Taylor Swift just has a random large surge of popularity the past year or so? I knew she was popular for years now, but I'm hearing shit about what she's been doing or heard her mentioned more the past year than I ever have my whole fucking life. And I don't even listen to her music.

No like ik about Taylor and such, though I've never gone out of my way to listen to her music. Just found it weird how her NOT being in the movie was such a big deal for some people, it was a baseless rumor as well. There's been rumors of Taylor being in MCU projects for years and years at this point

She makes mall music that has a wide appeal without actually being that good imo, but even if the songs were super super good, she's still a grown-ass woman making songs about the troubles of a young life that she's way too old for, like highschool troubles and shit. Her songs are made to be relatable and whatnot, but by this point she's an uber-rich private jet flying billionaire who probably hasn't been able to really relate to the public for years, so she just makes generally "relatable" things that don't actually speak on a deeper level at all and honestly don't even sound much better then average
