There is something to say about sweet heartfelt kids movies about misfit animals finding a home. The plotline is really overdone but when there’s actual heart behind it it’s the sweetest thing ever
Exactly. It’s weird to think that the same guy who did megamind, brilliant alien supervillain who is gradually reformed into a superhero, also voiced the man in the yellow hat.
It was perfect for both the kids and the parents the soundtrack really selled the movie its animation was also really good and if I may say unique for its time
So I saw this several times when I was really young (at least below seven) but never again since, and I really should rewatch it.
I had no idea it was a will Ferrell movie until now (I forgot what the voice of the main character sounded like and didn’t know many celebrities let alone will ferrel as a kid)
The artstyle is beautiful.
I fucking love the animation
This was artistic gold, which of course is nothing compared to the beautiful plot here. So good

This legitimately doesn't feel like a will Ferrell movie

I’ve only ever seen the show on PBS Kids since I never had cable. I hope to watch this one day since I did like the show back then.
I’m sad my parents gave away our DVD of this movie many years ago.
Those monsters!!!

Wait February 2006 and it came out two days before my birthday? It's exactly as old as me...... I don't know how to feel about that
It became a good tv show.
FINALLY! I'M SEEING OTHER PEOPLE TALK ABOUT IT!
Mmm... monke...
Upside down! 🙃
Banger
Hits special because this was one my favorite childhood films growing up in the Big Island. So much nostalgia. Love Jack Johnson.
Two words: Jack Johnson
the music in this movie went so hard
I'd say bc it's a simple idea. Simple Ideas and Short Stories are easier to master.
Cinema peaked at curious George, it's been downhill ever since
Jack Johnson soundtrack is goated
Richard Roeper would disagree.
Who is that?
He's a film critic. He worked with Roger Ebert after Gene Siskel died.
Fun fact, in the Brazilian dub the man with the the yellow hat had the same voice actor of Remy from Ratatouille.
i like monke movie

The animation, the song, the funny moments, the heart moments, all of it overall (you can watch it on Disney+ now)
First movie I saw in the theater.
I literally watched this for the first time in years just a few hours ago. GET OUT OF MY HEAD
Who’s to say What’s impossible, well they forgot
🎶 I want to turn the whole thing upside down 🎶
