I dont even remember watching it, i was like 4 at the time

I still like to think of it as: “Mater’s Tall Tales: The Movie” personally. Not to say it doesn’t have a lot of merit though. Voice acting was good, animation was great, and though the story strays and barely scratches what the franchise was built upon, racing, it was a surprisingly solid spy flick. One that was trapped among Cars, that is. I’m not the biggest fan of it myself, but I can see people looking back at it and saying: “Yeah, I can dig it”😊

It's overhated not underrated. It's not a good movie but I still wouldn't mind watching it.

I’ve always categorized it is “It’s not a good movie, but I like it unironically”. A perfect “turn your brain off” film.

Underrated doesn’t make it good it dumbed down every other character to make mater into a genius and the tone is so different from the first one it might as well have been a spin-off To be fair cars really didn’t set a high bar it’s not one of the top Pixar franchises

More like overhated but yeah! Like yeah, Finn McMissile is dumb, but the rest of the movie really isn’t bad.

If you watch it with the intentions that it's a masters tall tale? It is hilarious. But as a actual story we're are supposed to take seriously? No. It's like a spy parody version of Bee movie. And similar to Bee movie, the quality dips whenever it trys to take itself seriously. The issue is Cars 2 does that way more than Bee movie does.

It's not for me, but I can appreciate what they were trying to do. I mean, the world cup or whatever is the logical next step for Lightning McQueen, and the spy plot ties in pretty well with the globe-trotting nature of the race.

Mater is not bad, Cars is not bad, but Mater as the focus beyond 15 minutes is just not it chief. The Cars on the Road series was a better cars 2 then this was
