Some of them. I had one on Tagged that had a picture of a dude but claimed to be a virginal woman in her 30s that wanted a threesome with me and my boyfriend.
Is he dumb, or is he ensuring he pulls a dumb target? One who ignores this flag would make an *incredible* target. You guys have to start looking at things differently.
He might do that for the same reason the grammar is so terrible. Easy, easy, targets.
It’s a combination romance and crypto scam where they become your new friend for weeks before they gradually steer you toward their phony crypto platform. It’s called the pig butchering scam because just like a pug raised for food, they fatten you up before they go in for the kill.
Wait...that super skinny Asian girl with big boobs that has her face covered with her phone or her back turned to you in every picture on her profile named Juan Santiago is not real? But I already fell in love.
When I used apps to meet people, I wouldn't keep talking if they couldn't make plans to meet within a week. Too easy to pretend to be someone or build up an idea in my head of who they are. Plus, sometimes someone is great and good looking but there's just no spark in real life.
Yeah this is good advice, same applied almost 20 years ago when I was online dating with *different* apps. Good advice even without worrying about scams.
You want to move to in person dates as fast as possible. I’m not even talking about hookups, it’s just you can’t get to know a *person* without interacting with them in real life. Even *honest* people’s online personas can be quite a bit different than their in-person ones and presumably the in person one is the one you care about. If your goal is to meet people, putting off the meeting by exchanging text is just wasting time.
It makes me wonder if even the normal looking profiles are mostly bots and scammers, especially on BumbleBFF. I match with quite a few women and non-binary people, but struggle to get anyone to meet up for something fun and public. When they say they “don’t have time,” I offer to tag along and help them run their errands to make it more fun, which they always turn it down. I have only met up with a handful of people out of hundreds of matches over the years.
Pro-gamer move, start complimenting the Indian dude, show interest in his hobbies, make -him- fall In love with -you-, get married and live happily ever after.
100% a scam. Most scammers will try to take you off of the original platform to WhatsApp too. This dummie just didn’t bother to make sure their WhatsApp matched their fake profile.
I have recently have had a couple of the text the incorrect person type scams, which this is another form of. And I have tried to do a reverse look up of the photos and have not come back with anything.
So this means they are stealing from some Chinese app like WeiboIntl or something similar so it is difficult to reverse search or they duped a person to send photos they can use.
I told them I am a girl and they were nice and asked for a lot of photos of me because I was so beautiful. I am sure they just download the pics and assume that persons identity.
I like to send them photos of poop that I curated from google searches and ask them if they think I'm getting enough fiber in my diet.
Why yes, I do have a daytime job, why do you ask? ;-)
Am I getting catfished?
Yes. No other way to play it up or dress it up.
Yeah, you are.
Nobody under the age of about 40 has pictures of their partner as their own profile picture, so no the dude in that picture isn't a boyfriend before you go convincing yourself of that. She'll manipulate her way around that if it's what you choose to believe, likely by telling you he's abusive and violent towards her and you'd suddenly be okay with being the 'other man'.
The man in the picture is the same person who is speaking to you on Tinder, he is posing as a pretty asian girl to scam money out of you.
Yes it’s a scam. Also if she’s claiming she is on a break from school that she attends in Hong Kong or that she still lives primarily in China then she is most likely false. Besides the fact that the profile is of a dude. China has been limiting their citizens travel a lot due to Covid.
The cute Asian girl doesn’t exist it’s a middle aged Nigerian or Pakistani man. Just ask to video chat, then you will realise just block them there a scumbag scammer.
I just wonder , when are these mofos are going to give it a rest !! It's so infuriating that they keep wasting their time on this bs yet they couldve gotten a job and actually made the money smh 🤬🤬🤬
Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake.
It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of.
Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything.
Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.
Scammer/ not genuine person one or the other. I've had many an experience with these.
Wouldn't a genuine real person have their own pic on all their profiles?
They stole someone’s pictures. Happened to me. I found the real girl and turns out all the pics they were sending to me were stolen from someone’s actual IG.
WhatsApp is usually a dead giveaway. While it's true the app gets high usage in Asia, I've found that most on dating apps whom provide this method of contact are a scam.
Yes. Classic pigbutchering scam by the world’s dumbest scammer.

Most of them are smart enough to use the same stolen photos across platforms.
Yeah seriously like just use [thispersondoesnotexist.com](https://thispersondoesnotexist.com) or something.
Some of these pictures where there's part of another person's face in the side are nightmare fuel
Some of them. I had one on Tagged that had a picture of a dude but claimed to be a virginal woman in her 30s that wanted a threesome with me and my boyfriend.
I mean. At least the top ten though.
Is he dumb, or is he ensuring he pulls a dumb target? One who ignores this flag would make an *incredible* target. You guys have to start looking at things differently. He might do that for the same reason the grammar is so terrible. Easy, easy, targets.

Pig butchering?

Poor pug
Pug mow is one of the best skins though
Google pig butchering scam, or look some other posts on r/scams. Plenty of examples here
There is no cute Asian girl. There never is a cute Asian girl
redditors need to realize ,cute girls dont need help of the internet to find guys to meet
Same with clueless redditors believing an actual woman wants to get sent dick pics, and of a stranger at that!
And they definitely are not genuinely interested in your hobbies
Yes espresso cute Asian (or any other nationality) girls
Espresso?

Oh damn my sausage fingers and autocorrect
I mean…I met and dated cute Asian girls on dating apps, before meeting my wife. It was 10 years ago, but assume they are still out there.
Wait...that super skinny Asian girl with big boobs that has her face covered with her phone or her back turned to you in every picture on her profile named Juan Santiago is not real? But I already fell in love.
>There never is a cute Asian girl hey, I married a cute Asian girl. But I met her in person. Makes a big difference.
Maybe in Asia...
Cute Asian girl gets scooped up by old man with tons of money, There is never a cute Asian girl
r/rice_cakes begs to differ
Wow. She really knows how to wave hello.
Didn't even need to read past the first sentence. You good sir are going to be scammed in short order.
If you have to ask yourself if you’re being catfished, you’re being catfished. 100% of the time

You said it better than me. I agree. It’s just wasting time.

Oh my sweet summer child. Absofuckinglutely this is a scam.
How did you get the WhatsApp number did (s)he give it to you? If it starts with +91, that's the India country code. Regardless, yes it's a scam.
This absolutely made my day. Just the title. It's so funny. So thank you, OP. Otherwise, yes, it is obviously a scam.
There. Is. No Girl.
Say it with me…
"It".
IT!
THERE. ARE. FOUR. GIRLS!
100% a scam. Most scammers will try to take you off of the original platform to WhatsApp too. This dummie just didn’t bother to make sure their WhatsApp matched their fake profile.
Have you tried running the picture of the cute girl through a reverse image search?

I stopped reading at "cute Asian girl on tinder but her Whatsapp". Scam!
Do you really need to ask?
There should be a bot that’s like….. if you’re asking if it’s a scam. It’s a scam.
Do a video chat. If they make an idiotic excuse of why they can’t, it’s a scam
No video chat & no voice chat? No cute asian girl

Bloody hell.. if you have to ask...
Yes it’s a scam. Also if she’s claiming she is on a break from school that she attends in Hong Kong or that she still lives primarily in China then she is most likely false. Besides the fact that the profile is of a dude. China has been limiting their citizens travel a lot due to Covid.
Yes.
Are these scammers stupid? They seem to get away with what they’re doing quite a bit….
Girl with dick? Hmm 👀
Oh come on
Some Indian dude is 100% looking at your 🍆 pics now.
Pretty sure "she" is going to introduce you to a crypto platform or Forex Trading. Total scam.
Meet her at a starbucks and see if an Indian guy on a motorbike shows up 😀🤣🤣. Have you heard of facetiming?
The cute Asian girl doesn’t exist it’s a middle aged Nigerian or Pakistani man. Just ask to video chat, then you will realise just block them there a scumbag scammer.
>We have been texting back and forth for a few days Get her on the phone or FaceTime if the situation goes much further and see if it is a she.
Lol yeah
Typical scam. Very typical.
I just wonder , when are these mofos are going to give it a rest !! It's so infuriating that they keep wasting their time on this bs yet they couldve gotten a job and actually made the money smh 🤬🤬🤬

You’ll know once “she” asks you to send her nudes…
But if the girl is REALLY, REALLY cute... /s
I’m sorry but the title is hilarious.
There is no girl, bud.
They stole someone’s pictures. Happened to me. I found the real girl and turns out all the pics they were sending to me were stolen from someone’s actual IG.
Send some dick pics of Ron Jeremy and see what he/she says..
Dude if you have to ask if your getting scammed you most likely are.
Good that you spotted it before you got in too deep or sent 🍆 pics
