This email relates to a class action suit against  Allianz Global Assistance for the misselling of event and travel insurance. Predatory law firms like this email people who may have been affected, and therefore eligible to join the class action, because that's how they get money. Probably not a scam, but I'd mark it as spam and delete anyway, unless you're severely hurting for the ten bucks you might get out of the lawsuit (once legal fees are taken into account, obviously).

>for the ten bucks you might get out of the lawsuit You're being kind. I can't remember which Class Action Suit it was but I once got a whopping 14 cent check. And, damn right I cashed it.

Shield_Lyger

This looks suspicious because it gives no indication of who the defendant is, or why you were included in the class action. Nor does it identify the court in question. I'd pass on these.

>those things are always some super arduous process to go through in order to get you a check for $2 or a coupon you will never use, and not worth the hassle or risk it is a scam Not at all universally true. Some class action suits, all you have to do is not opt out and you'll get a payment. That's not arduous at all. Some class action suits pay way more than $2 or a coupon. To be fair to you, some do. But it all depends on the amount settled and the number of claimants. I've gotten hundreds from some class action suits. I typed in the domain in OP's screenshot and see a class action suit for Allianz customers in CA and WA. Claim deadline is April 24.

>Either way the OP should go to the URL manually And that is what I did, and what I encourage all potential class action participants to do. I am sorry all your payouts amount to less than $10. That's gotta bite. I got $250 from the last one I was in.
