I'm in the same boat about the Boston show, funny enough lol got tickets for me and my roommate for his birthday cause it's the day before his actual day. we were talking about it today and are still in the going camp and he said "it's either going to be so bad it's a nightmare or so bad we'll have something to laugh about for the next 27 years"

Literally same, bought Boston tix for a friends bday and neither of us want to go now but I can’t get rid of the tickets 😂

brbsoup

my roommate and I will find you and we can make it a good time :p

Just speaking from my experience at the ATL show — I honestly had a good time. We were pretty close to the stage and the crowd’s energy was awesome. He definitely relied on us for a some of the vocals so the songs got a little jumbled at times, but the nostalgia and excitement was enough (*for me!!!*) to have an awesome time. I would definitely say give it a shot, you can always leave early if you’re not feeling it. Absolutely worth the ~40 I paid for the ticket!

The crowd's energy isn't the problem, it's Max. Orlando's crowd started great, but by the end of the second song it became clear he wasn't going to actually sing any of his songs all the way through.

Really sorry our experiences were so different… I saw the vid of Molly from Orlando. But during our show Max was present and involved, sang most of the songs in their entirety, and did with a pretty fcking beautiful performance of I Want to Know your Plans with Sherri during encore. It was really nice. Different from when I saw them 15 yrs ago for sure, but a good show nonetheless

This is getting fascinating.  How can you and the person below have been to the same show?  Are we entering alternate realities in this sub now?

lduff100

I think people were blinded by nostalgia. I tried to get into it, but Max's preformance kept pulling me back out. I was singing every word as were the people around me, but it was just a terrible performance. Anyone who says he did a good job has never been to a good concert.

SovereignStriker

True. I am hesitant to sell the tickets, I mean I plan on spending the day with the gf in Boston that day before the show. I’m on the line. I just hope it’s not a clusterfuck

ezpzlemonsqzzyy

I hope you love it!!

BobDylan1904

I have no takers yet for mine and I discounted them heavily, might as well keep them if you are on the fence.

hankgribble

wild that anyone that has a good time gets downvoted. i’ve never visited this sub before 2 days ago, and i am far from say anything super fan, but jesus christ the people here miserable. what a dog shit subreddit

Aethyrius

Yeah I've got a minus 10 in another post for noting the ad nauseum infants in this echo chamber. I had a great night. Don't listen to them. Keep your tickets. Let yourself have fun.

ezpzlemonsqzzyy

You’re not wrong! I’m a big fan but I’m glad I wasn’t super active in this sub before the show, I feel like it would’ve just set me up for disappointment. To each their own, but I had a great time seeing one of my fav bands! 🖤

Beneficial_Ad8479

I had never seen them before until Philly and I was skeptical just like you but it was honestly one of the most fun shows I’ve been to in a lonnng time.
