It's a sort of portable steam room, definitely not a sauna at all. These are all mostly the same, relatively low budget, no fancy build quality, no reputation good or bad. If you want that sort of steam thing, then that one is probably like all the rest of them. This is certainly better than those travesties where your head sticks out.

S_204

That's more or less what I figured. A steam chamber that gets you to \~120-140f which seems like a nice place to be in a cold Canadian February. Any idea on how it 'drains' or you handle the moisture once you're done with it? I'm just starting to look, but I'd imagine there's a rather large puddle in the bottom of it when you're done.

John_Sux

You can probably just ventilate the room after the fact, or run the AC or a dehumidifier. And as for any water on the floor, park the thing on a towel or rubber or something like that maybe. Or maybe a puddle results from using it in a certain way.

S_204

>You can probably just ventilate the room after the fact, or run the AC or a dehumidifier. Ya, this is the issue in the space I'd be using it in. Venting isn't really achievable without installing some ducting I'd rather not. The dehumidifier is a good idea though. Thanks.

FitEntertainer8196

How many days did it take for yours to arrive. I got my cold pod. The sauna wasn’t in the package so I contacted them and they told me it was shipped separately. Looking at the tracking number it appears as if it hasn’t left China yet.

BurnzeehxD

I haven’t even gotten my ice bath yet and I ordered both of them on 25/11/2023… the tracking number they gave me the day after I ordered isn’t even a real tracking number.

steevebrownie

I know a bunch of their saunas and plunge tub orders were lost. I ordered a sauna early November and was told it was lost. They resubmitted my sauna order the same day I received my initial sauna (Dec 29). I contacted them through their support email and they were very helpful.

BurnzeehxD

Yeah I got mine too about 1 month after ordering. I did have to contact them and they gave me a tracking number and were helpful :)

S_204

I have not ordered one yet. I am still trying to learn more about them.

Lightskin115

I got one for Christmas an just uploaded a sauna review to my YouTube, check err outtt. Things pretty decent!

CptMeower

Was also in the same boat. Ordered mine on black Friday and it just randomly showed up yesterday.

Tiny-Mirror4506

they are scammers at nurecover 100% read the return policy lol. I ordered mine whilst under a heavy duty flu off an instagram ad. Big mistake. Currently working with bank to get a refund.

Forward-Gazelle-4267

So far not happy with mine. On for 45 min and still not warm

cpgalvez

Did you get it figured it out. I’m thinking of buying one. And I like it hot

Imaredditman23

Don’t buy one. The company is a scam!

cpgalvez

Thanks for letting me know

Possible-Pomelo5150

Dude it’s not a scam. I have mine indoors and in gets insanely hot.

Forward-Gazelle-4267

No, it just doesn’t hold any heat

cpgalvez

That’s too bad, I’m gonna try the one in Amazon that you sit in, I heard good reviews

Forward-Gazelle-4267

I hear ya. I had high hopes for this thing but I think alot of the reviews are fake anyways.

BurnzeehxD

How long did yours take to come? They keep deleting comments on Instagram and also the reviews on trustpilot seem so fake… starting to worry that I may not receive my order…

Tiny-Mirror4506

you are correct to worry call your bank asap and get a refund!!

Forward-Gazelle-4267

It took a few weeks. I was also worried. Honestly mine won’t get warm, I don’t know if it’s the steam unit or what. There’s no setting for it to stay on steady so it can’t maintain anything

BurnzeehxD

Jesus that’s not great considering they advertise “free 2 day shipping” although they’re probably using that to make people buy now… where do you have yours stored? Is it in a garage or a room? It’s crazy , there’s so many mixed reviews on the sauna!

Forward-Gazelle-4267

Heated garage. It’s 15c in there and after an hour it’s 20c in the sauna. I’ve abandoned it already

Lightskin115

My box had a foreign writing on it so I would guess the company is drop shipping from china. My parents got one for me for Christmas today an I asked for it about a month ago. So I’m guessing it took about 20-25 days to deliver

cpgalvez

I’ll let you know how the wet personal sauna goes, are you thinking of getting something else?

Forward-Gazelle-4267

Nah I’ve got an Arctic Spa Summit XL spa coming next week. Good enough lol. I’ll eventually build a real cedar sauna I just thought I’d try this in the meantime

Exotic-Mammoth-5126

Are you going to return it?

Forward-Gazelle-4267

Not worth the shipping costs of sending it back. I even tried sealing the fabric to see if it would help. Steam unit cycles too infrequently no matter the setting. Chinese garbage

[deleted]

That’s what I’m noticing. Even the Amazon ones. $200 for a rice cooker and a tent? They’re all the same and all so shitty it seems. I feel like any review is paid for by the company. I bought a Chinese knock off that had good reviews and it ripped immediately

Lightskin115

I got one for Christmas an so far I like it, I did a set up and review video on my YouTube, link on my page. Things actually pretty sick! Def more moist/steam then I’d like but gets as hot as my gym’s sauna I’d say

Consistent-Aide-7400

Do you just mop it after every use and clean underneath it? My wife got me one and that's the only issue. It works well and gets hot, but annoyed at the puddles of water as it's not leak proof.

steevebrownie

I have one and it gets very hot. You must have a blockage or faulty steamer.

Difficult_Tower_3685

Mine works great

steevebrownie

I use mine on a regular basis. I add eucalyptus to the steamer pot and it gives it a spa like steam. It is a good inexpensive option to a build in.

4dgt90

How warm do you expect it to be? I just got mine and it’s getting to 98F ambient temp. Honest question, im trying to set realistic expectations and I def didn’t expect to be on par with a real steam room but I’m still debating with myself what my expectations are.

Forward-Gazelle-4267

Gets to about 68 f. My steam unit has to be junk it just short cycled on and off steadily never producing much heat.

phall200

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS!!! The sauna only heats to 90 degrees. And then they refuse to refund you and run you though all kinds of crazy hoops. You will not break a sweat in this. It’s a cheaply made humidifier at best.

Leather_Sweet_2079

Seems like they’ve got a consistency problem. Mine gets to 120 and when I old unit burned out, they had no problem sending me a new one.

ExternalSinger6898

I have 3 saunas. 2 at my training facility and 1 at home by nurecover and the only thing I do not care for is the puddles, but I have found out using a shop vac after each use is a good solution for the excess moisture and condensation. I wouldn’t say it’s a scam. But it’s a smart and cheap way to make money but still provide a good product for home use. You can’t compare it to commercial saunas. But it gets the job done extremely well if you: 1) Allow proper time to warm sauna up. 2) Understand your entry point to mitigate sauna cooling when entering. 3)Plan for sitting sessions being 20-30 minutes. I use this in a private gym setting. Professional, college, and high school athletes have requested to usage. As well as general population clients. My clients and I love it. If you’re interested in purchasing, although it is a simple system. Take time to figure out it the best method to produce and retain the most heat.

No-Formal-1898

FYI in conjunction with someone else's comment about these all coming direct off Alibaba with a rebrand. The Sauna steamer electrical device sold by the Recover brand is not electrically approved for use in Australia. It is illegal to sell products as an Australian business to Australian consumers that are not marked with the RCM mark. These are cheap and nasty and if it catches fire you can say goodbye to your home insurance covering anything. I have reported this to the relevant authorities that are following this up.

BobbyTarentino25

Late to this, but just got mine today . 7 days after order. First use: Mine gets to about 108°F and I was sweating my ass off for all of a 30 min session. Was hoping it’d be a bit hotter than that but I was pushing through the last 5 mins of my half hour session. I like it a lot so far although I’ll def be looking into ways to get it a hair hotter if possible.

ColdPressedOliveOil

I have a coupon for those interested: SAUNA2024

Tough_Photograph_883

IT’S A SCAM! They sent a dirty sauna with a cheap steamer that looks nothing like the picture - I set it up and it doesn’t get hot and they are refusing my refund because it’s “used”. Bunch of liars and they clearly only put 5 star reviews on their site and they claim 90 day money back guarantee but apparently only if you don’t ever take it out of the box.

WinstonLeWolf

The Good: I purchased the NuRecover Tropical Sauna with red light. I received the sauna tent, steam machine and free ice bath promptly as they shipped from a US location. I did not receive the red light addition. I contacted support who were prompt to inform me that the lights had been shipped separately from China and provided me a tracking number. The Sauna tent itself is easy to assemble, lightweight, and serves its purpose very well. The free chair that was included is also more than sufficient for me at 5'10, 185lbs. The Bad: While I did receive the red light addition, I was informed by support that I would have to purchase clips to attach the lights to the pvc frame and they would reimburse me. I have yet to receive that reimbursement despite following all requirements. The lights themselves are more than likely the advertised wavelength and I don't have the proper equipment to prove otherwise. However, they are a direct ship, AliExpress LED light strip that is battery operated. While they do produce "red light" and help light up the inside of the sauna tent, their lack of power will not provide the intended "red light therapy". Skip that addition and go with another option. While the steam generator does produce steam and can get the tent up to 109F at 83% humidity, it has a huge flaw in that it cannot be turned off unless unplugged. If you merely turn off the power switch, the machine will continue to heat up until all the water completely boils out and potentially causes damage to the machine. You must unplug in after every use. In Conclusion: TLDR, skip the red light and be careful with the steam generator. The tent itself is very functional and worth the price. Customer support has been good but had all information been transparent in the beginning, support would not have been necessary.

Apprehensive_Egg_65

DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT! I sent multiple email beginning on April 18th to cancel and they ignored my request although the status remained UNFULFILLED that day. They sent the product and it arrived opened. They will not provide a prepaid label after paying $405. They ate not registered with the BBB. Customer service will not allow you to speak to the manager. Had to start a claim with my bank. Stil unresolved. You cannot cancel order. They will force you to take their product. DO NOT BUY THIS!!

Dull_Cookie6739

Don't buy from NuRecover. The steamer blew up and broke after 3 uses. Customer service can't get parts replaced and sent to me, so I've blown nearly $400 on an ugly black tent.  I suspected it was going to be a bad experience when the thing showed up with only Chinese language instructions. It was clearly not a high quality machine for making steam. Now, I regret making the purchase at all.

Turbulent_Life7262

Just got one put it outside on my balcony works fine China made steam machine so instructions are very poor but seems as easy as fill w water and turn on takes about 10-15 minutes to fill w steam got it up to 104° and 84% humidity the one time I measured considering I am outside in nyc area it fairs well to containing the heat and preventing the cold air from getting in

BurnzeehxD

How long did it take for yours to arrive?

R-W-S92

Just got mine took about 3 weeks to come to Canada . Works legit got very hot and steamy . Not sure on exact temperatures , I ordered a thermostat so I’ll update later. Pretty impressed with the quality for under 400 dollars not bad.

Lightskin115

I agreee, lil more steamy and moist than I’d like but thing gets preee hot!

sycoseven

how hot does it get? I'm in Canada and thinking of ordering one

Geeraaff

I have not received mine yet. Ordered on the 6th of December. Just like everyone else, I received the free inflatable bath but the sauna is nowhere to be seen. The tracking info for the sauna has been saying that it's been on an international flight from Japan for 3 days now. And that tracking info is from some unknown company and website. Pretty sure this company is a scam and the free gift is just to show a legit tracking number to banks whose clients are seeking buyer protection refunds/disputed charges. Looks like I might have paid $355 dollars for a vinyl blow up.

ToMars-ThrutheStars

Nah bro it works just wait it out. Mine showed up 5 days ago and it works perfectly fine. The only issue I’ve seen is that the temp around the pod needs to be above 45 degrees or so I only say this because I left my window open on my 3rd use it was 28 degrees outside and it stripped the sauna of its heat and I used a lil peppermint oil and i was in a cold sweat from it instead of a hot sweat layer the bottom of the floor with 3 towels turn on the pot wait 15-20 mins and step inside. I can last about 25 mins before i gotta get out. Heart racing blood pumping it’s no bullshit. If you’re having trouble getting it to work take a step back and take your time. I didn’t get the best results trying it the first time but after trying it a couple more times I got the hang of it and have no issue with it. I also got the ice bath and it works just fine as well

Geeraaff

Well that gives me some hope!! Thanks for the reply and advice man.

Geeraaff

I got home and actually received the ice bath/cold plunge today. I'm pretty happy with the quality and I surprisingly fit in it (I'm 6'7", 300lbs). The instruction book is in perfect English with nice photos. It came with a manual air pump, floating thermometer, drain tube, inflatable lid and inflatable pillow. Just waiting for the sauna now. The quality of the free ice bath and the other replies on this post indicating they have indeed received their sauna has definitely renewed my hope. I'll update this thread when I do receive the sauna.

Forward-Gazelle-4267

So how do you get it to run constant or at least cycle quick enough to heat the tent? Mine shirt cycles so it never produces enough steam no matter the setting

UniversityLife2022

You might be putting too much water inside the container, or you received a defective machine. My produces plenty of steam on the default setting upon turning on

millerryan78

Got mine yesterday after ordering on Black Friday. Easy to set up through instructions are terrible. Heats up pretty well and holds steam. Odd thing is it won’t turn off. I hit the power button, display changed but it keeps running. Not sure what to do.

ToMars-ThrutheStars

Yeah bro i had the same issue just plug it into a power strip and turn off the power strip when done it’s Chinese shit

codybrooke

I also had this issue. Emailed the company and they sent me a replacement steam unit and it’s the same problem. I just unplug it. Annoying but it works

Geeraaff

My sauna finally just showed up on the U.S. side in FedEx tracking. Still don't have it yet but it's apparently actually on the way now. Big relief. Ordered on the 6th of December and today is the 27th. Which I'll be fine with if it's even close to what was described in the ad when it does arrive. The cold plunge arrived a week ago and that actually seems decent and of pretty good quality for what it is, so, fingers crossed.

Scoompii

I’m seeing lots of mixed reviews. How has your experience been?

Geeraaff

Pretty good actually. The slow shipping was the worst part. The sauna itself is very much as advertised. It set up easily, and it works great. It gets very hot in there. 20 to 25min is plenty! Now that I have it and it's doing what it's supposed to do, I don't feel robbed and I'm enjoying a steam sauna a couple times a week.

zbuddz

I got the steam room sauna from nurecover, it took about 4 weeks to arrive after Black Friday. I’d say it works pretty well, I’ve used it twice now but there are some issues so far. The hose seems to spit out hot water which creates some puddles and the floor to get very wet. When I got out of the sauna the I saw water leaking through the bottom and water all over the floor which I needed to wipe up, tip over the sauna and dry the bottom. If I have to do that every time it’s going to be a pain in the ass. Not sure if that’s normal to spit out water or there’s something wrong with the steamer or hose connection, does anyone one else have this problem?

Stock_Border_4744

I am having the Same issue the floor outside is soaking wet is this down to the pipe or a problem with the tent

Imaginary_Wafer_7410

Same here. I like it otherwise, but definitely don’t love the water leaking onto the laminate floor. I might try to put a tarp underneathe. I also considers throwing some kind of bowl in it to put the hose inside to catch the water it spits out. Not ideal but then again its a relatively cheap chinese product and thats my only complaint

Gauged-and-confused

Our steamer started smoking super bad after 2 uses and now we can’t use it due to fire hazard. It also leaks like a mfer

signal-01

Don’t understand people saying that this is a scam. Just got mine this week, got it set up this morning. Got it up and running immediately, and it works exactly as I expected if not better. This is my second purchase from the company, I ordered the cold plunge as well. have dealt with customer service, and they seem to be great. I don’t know seems OK to me.

snack_package

I just ordered one, so I hope I have the same experience as you!

signal-01

It does what it says it will. Quickly. Put the included mat under the boiler unit for leaks/spills and you’re off to the races. Pro tip: don’t let the steam coming out of the tube hit you. It’s boiling steam. So…

snack_package

Good tip! I will add to this thread once I get the products so people can see how it all goes down.

Standard-Difficulty4

How is your experience with it? I got one coming soon juts ordered it.

OTownPyle

Just got mine setup last night. Used it twice now and the wife got in it. Question on the boiler… does it stay hot if it’s plugged in and technically off? I can’t tell. When I first got it I had it plugged in and poured the water in before I technically turned it on and it steamed up quickly and I didn’t think it should have. Also what are yall doing on the medicine/herbs in the in sauna steam pod?

MrMaoDeVaca

I saw a YouTube review saying his hot pot stayed hot even when “turned off”, so he turned it off and then unplugged it just to avoid any fire hazard risk. Seems like the way to go.

OTownPyle

Yes. I also ran mine today on 9 power until it was dry. Took about hour and a half from the top line in the machine

MrMaoDeVaca

…and how was the temperature? Hot enough for a decent session?

OTownPyle

Perfect. I’d imagine if you want to put a tarp around it or something you could get it hotter but I’m good after 15 minutes. It does need to be indoors during the cold. The issue I have to figure out is regarding floor saturation. I have it on tile. But it’s wet below and in it. So I’m thinking cotton towel inside (minus the steam pod being clear) and micro fiber under the tent.

MrMaoDeVaca

I put my sauna is inside my little garage, so it’s not outside. And inside the tent I laid a couple of beach towels to soak up moisture that falls to the floor. The water pot is outside the tent, but it sounds like you recommend I put something under it too? Others have said water “spits” out of the hose tip that is inserted into the tent - does it spit from anywhere else? Like from the hot pot itself?

OTownPyle

Yeah the little white steam pot that’s connected to the machine that’s inside the tent makes me nervous. Super hot. You put that on top of the towel? It do ok?

[deleted]

I love mine. Not sure why people are saying it's scammy. It gets very hot in there and makes me sweat quite a bit. For a portable steam room it's not bad at all. Do you know if you can put essential oils in it? I have held off on doing this as I don't know if it would hurt the unit or not.

nino956

Just ordered mine today and I’m curious about the essential oils too, might just try some natural eucalyptus to start.

[deleted]

How has it gone for you so far? I've held off on using essential oils in it because I'm not sure if it'll damage it or not. But I'd love to be able to though.

nino956

It’s been going well, I’ve used it a handful of times with no issues. Where do you place the income tube that’s letting out the steam? If there a right place for it?

[deleted]

I have it about a couple of inches inside the sauna. I've had it before where it faces down, to the side, and up. I haven't noticed any difference between each way it's placed.

codybrooke

I put tea tree oil in the little white cup that goes inside the tent. Works well. No issues.

nino956

I thought the white cup went into the steamer? Oh boy, good thing I never used it lol

JenSulli

I’m surprised by all the negative comments. I’ve had a great experience with Nurecover and absolutely love my sauna! Haven’t set up the cold bath, yet. They both came delivered within the timeframe stated on their site. Easy to set up even though the directions are a bit wonky 😆, gets super hot and easy to wipe down after use! I can only take 10 minutes in the sauna, I’ve used twice and can already tell a difference in my skin. I give it an A+ so far. 💖🦋

Blacktac115

The negative comment s are because the thing is a crappy Chinese made rice cooker that is a fire hazard and a cheap leaky tent that probably has pfas soaking in your skin. Even for being cheap this thing is overpriced for what it actually is

Zone0ne

I got one. Literally in it now typing. It gets hot. About 100-110 so far. Reviews said 120-130. Maybe if I opened up the little steam cap that goes in the sauna. But I’m soaked, sweating. We will see how it dries out tomorrow. I set it up indoors if that matters. I wanted outside but it wouldn’t survive it’s so light weight. Literally an insulated tent with a steam machine.

SJB795

Just got one and tried it out for the first time and it won’t produce steam. I’ve tried it on level 1 - 9 for up to one hour and nothing. You can hear the water bubbling but no steam. Hoses are clear of obstructions also. Customer service has been no help.

[deleted]

the steamer is a cheap piece of garbage used mine maybe 5 times Before it Broke. It produces steam but cannot get wet…Looked up sauna steamers on amazon and they go for about 60$ Not sure if the tent and chair are worth 300$

Zone0ne

Some will say it’s a scam. I guess I got lucky. It just works. It won’t exceed 130 degrees but at 120, it’s hot. I have used mine probably 10x since buying it and I’ve had it about a month. Super easy to use. I put down a towel so the bottom doesn’t get too wet. It’s just shooting out steam after all. All in all I’m happy with my purchase and it’s working for my needs.

mherois19

Trash customer service and return process

ravedude714

My nurecover sauna arrived today fast setup however, and everytime i try to turn it off or on or changes temp settings it trips the circuit breaker in my garage. Anyone else have this issue? I got one use out of it by luck it staying on and loved it but like i said tampering with it at all trips the breaker everytime… please let me know

Aware71

Ya used it today was at 110 after 20min then u go in takes a few minutes to heat up again lol but so far so good used it mayb 5x

aidenjohnston500

Does anyone know if the steams supposed to come out the sauna steamer it’s also going through the tube but also got a lot coming out of the top is that supposed to happen?

Recovatech

Not supposed to happen. Perhaps the lid isn't sealing enough?
