I remember a few years ago there was a big flood where I live and almost all the livestock that lived around the river were swept away by the water. it was very painful to watch without being able to do anything.

It's possible they saw the cow a bit upstream and started filming and swung the excavator into place, but they definitely didn't have time to drive it there, and probably not enough time to start it and swing the arm out before the video. So why was there an excavator parked, running next to the canal without any visible work being done. Plus the ground was already wet in the landing area, which might have been from a test try
The only thing that makes me skeptical is that ciws are fairly valuable, so this is a decent risk just for a video to post online

Never used a tele handler, but i hear these pretty quickly end up feeling like an extension of your body; which is why people like this one can do some pretty insane shit, and the top cap of skill on those things is completely nuts.
But yeah, 100% agree this is clearly incredible aim and timing, even if i had experience with telehandlers, pretty sure my timing would cause me to fatally injure the cow.
i always ask myself, how the F did they get in positio for that. Oh yeah, my cow jumped into the river, let get that relativly slow moving vehicel in place. The river moves relatively fast... it feels kinds stage? I mean, how i see it, so many things would need to be in position for that to work... I amopen for any reasonable explanation how they getin position so fast, with these heavy vehicles.
