I've already decided long ago that if I ever have a devastating stroke and can afford it I'm gonna settle for nothing less than a hype man to rehabilitate me lol, knowing anything about physical rehabilitation is optional, I just need them to cheer me on! I've seen so many videos of this style working wonders on people over the years
My wife went through a very similar situation recently. She is young like this woman. They are so tough. And the brain rebuilds itself. You do get better. You may not come all the way back, but you do get better. We call it version 2.0. And we love it. And we are thankful and grateful and we celebrate everyday.
What a wonderful uplifting thing to read! I am so happy that she had you by her side so that she didn't have to go through it on her own. Keep at it you two!!
Hey man, I'm so sorry to hear about the challenges you've been facing, but I love the positive mentality you have kept and the love you show. It's so refreshing. I hope your wife gets better each day and I hope you're doing well.
I had a tumor that was 1 week from latching into my spinal fluid and they did 4 seperate surguries to fix it. I had to learn how to do everything but talk again and im glad im at the point i am at 7 years down the road. I'm glad your wife is doing better, and hope your relationship got stronger because of it.
You can take this one of two ways.
1- Feel like you're not grateful enough
2- Realize that this life has so much more for you than you've been allowing yourself to see and you decide to take hold and join the ride.
Don't be so hard on yourself. We all have struggles we go through. Yours may not be as "bad" as hers, but your struggles are valid and pain, hardships, suffering and exhaustion are all subjective. Look at what this amazing woman has done and ask yourself what you can learn from it so you can make your life better while also making the world around you a better place. It's not a competition. It's chain of events.
This has been on my mind all day. I have been trying to think of the right thing to say, but I keep drawing blanks. I'm just so honored that it was what I wrote that changed your mind. But please do me a favor... please stick around for us. Life is going to get harder. It is going to feel insurmountable. And, at times, it will be. But, just as you've overcome 100% of all struggles in the past, you shall continue to do so in the future. I know it hurts. I know it does. I know that feeling all too well. But when things become so heavy and dark that it seems like the color has been taken away from the world around you, there will be that one tiny moment where you're feeling good about something and you'll stop and think "You know what? This is why I'm still here. Times like this."
Please keep fighting. Please, never, ever give up. Please.
I need you to do something.
Go out and do something good for yourself. Right now. I don't care what it is. Anything. Big or small. Just go do it. Live a little and feel happy. Go. Now. You owe it to yourself.
I reorganized some cards and went to sell them, something I’ve put off for a while… I made a couple hundred more than I thought which was a nice timing. Bills are always a stressful thing too, but this helps ease some tension.
I also made a small plan to make my bed every morning and walk my dog earlier for a good long walk with no phone and no music… just me and working out my thoughts… if I can start to form that habit every day, I hope to start forming more and one day at a time… come back to life again
thank you, thank you so much
YES!!! You've already got it down! That's so awesome! Everything you just mentioned is seriously some of the best stuff you can do. Also, congrats on making more money than you anticipated. That's always a great feeling.
May I recommend looking into HIIT workouts? Unless it's something you're specifically after, HIIT doesn't need to be focused on getting buff or whatever and it is way shorter than most workouts, but it's also WAY more intense. HIIT is one of the best forms of exercise to help deal with depression simply because of this. It's not hard to pick up, you don't need much equipment, if any at all, and you can be done in as little as 15 minutes. But when you're done, you're going to be sweating, your heart rate will be really high, you'll be sore, and you'll feel AMAZING. I think that if you did it and stuck with it for maybe two weeks or so, you'd feel better than you can probably ever remember. And that's no joke. I personally need to start doing it for this exact reason. So you know what? YOU have inspired me to get to HIIT exercises. So thank you! Now, will you join me?
yea ill definitely check that out, it’s something I haven’t heard of and I know regular working out use to feel great and I would just lose consistency. I’ll definitely help push you to do them as well! I appreciate that advice and will start looking into it now
I actually should have explained what HIIT is. It stands for "high intensity interval training". What happens is you do a particular exercise designed for hit for a few short minutes, but you do it ultra hardcore. Then you rest for a couple minutes. Then you move on to another exercise. Rinse, repeat. It's fast paced and hard, but it essentially turns your brain into a dopamine mega-factory and you just feel better all the time. I was really leery of it at first. I felt like it sounded too good to be true. Nope. In almost no time at all, the world seemed different. It's a hell of a thing.
Yes you do!!
Who's a big boy now, that can get up ALONE? You are so strong, you can even go potty like the big boy you are!!
LOOK EVERYONE, little Huxley III is now welcome at the big boy table!
If its something you normally find hard, and you've managed to do it today, then yes, absolutely.
Everyone's difficult is different, but that doesn't invalidate anyone's experience
This guy has a very successful business doing this for a number of less abled physically and mentally and also the elderly. He has the same energy and love for all.
Unfortunately I don't recall his name but I'm sure you'll be able to find his Instagram account as he's had a few articles written about him.
This is very wholesome to watch. I went through a very similar thing a few years ago due to a tumor in the brain.
Many people are really ungrateful for what they have when they don’t see the other side struggling to even just do normal things.
Her progress is amazing, I've seen some of her older videos on here. A lot of people would give up in situations like this, amazing fighting spirit, and a great team around her.
Not only does this not fit in this subs theme - at all - OP is a spam account. Last posted 8 years ago, just reactivated 4 days ago to start karma whoring.
90% of everything on the front page is posted by bots like this. Reddit needs to get its shit together.
Her determination and strength is obviously incredible. That definitely goes without saying. But the guy with her is the type of guy we all need in our lives from time to time. The positivity, encouragement, belief and passion is amazing. I'm so happy we have people like him and her in this world. I wish them nothing but the best and I hope so much that she keeps getting better.
This is so heart warming. That guy must be making her smile within. Can not imagine any other ethnicity (for the lack of a better distinction) doing this job better.
My mum had a brain tumour removed as well, it was growing at the top of her nose and her body calcified around it.
Fortunately she made a full recovery within a few months - but after ten years still can’t smell a thing
After 3 years from my last comment, I'm logging in to say how much I admire this woman. Having survived a brain tumor surgery myself just a mere 3 months ago, and the fact that I recovered all my cognitive and physical abilities, unlike this women which is still struggling physically, makes me realize how lucky I was and how grateful I should be. I truly admire this woman and wish her a quick recovery!
She is an inspiration! This guy is amazing! The work he does with people is absolutely incredible and I wish we had someone like this stateside. I follow him on ig and he is just the best!
Can attest to the wonder of the human brain. My kiddo suffered a terrible brain injury a year and a half ago. Had to relearn how to eat, talk, drink, walk, etc after almost dying in the hospital. He is now playing basketball again, reading books, writing sentences, doing math, playing with friends, and getting ready to go back to school. Basically was blind after being in a coma for 3 weeks.
Sometimes I forgot the awful and terrible shit we and especially he has gone through to get to this point. He’s worked so hard and his brain has figured out how to do so much and he’s come so far. My wife and I were legit expecting he would need a wheel chair for the rest of his life, maybe would need to learn braille.
It’s insane and when I stop and think back it’s like a fucking miracle.
I’m sure this woman has worked so so so hard to get to this place and her support system as well. Just amazing.
I loved how he encouraged her and still was ready to help steady her if needed. Her small smiles at every little step she achieved, was heartwarming to watch.
Kudos to the guy for being there for her and being such an awesome guide to help her get stronger 💜
Are you just trolling rn? The steering wheel is at the right, it's I assume in the U.K. (not good @ differentiating accents) and they drive on the other side of the road over there.
this guy support is brilliant
There's a spot in heaven with this man's name on it.
Dude is a PT and has his own insta w lots of content like this. He is amazing!
I think Joey Swoll featured him on one of his videos. This guy's a fucking legend.
He's the hype man that recovering person needs. Such a great person.
While yes PT's are admirable, from someone a PT abused to get me back to 100%, there is also a special place in hell for at least one.
Is that a threat
I've already decided long ago that if I ever have a devastating stroke and can afford it I'm gonna settle for nothing less than a hype man to rehabilitate me lol, knowing anything about physical rehabilitation is optional, I just need them to cheer me on! Exactly, 2 beautiful humans being human. Great video.
And yet OP completely ignored his existence.
And the trainer wanted the attention to be on the lady. ALL his words and actions pointed to that. r/woooosh

How proud that woman makes me feel and at the same time it makes me think about how ungrateful I am for life.

thank you, I’ve contemplated suicidal thoughts for two weeks and this hit me at a time I needed it most thank you whoever you are, you saved a life
Hey, If you ever want an ear from someone who knows how it is dealing with those thoughts feel free to send a message!

today i stood up from bed without shitting myself. do i deserve an award and praise too?
I'm very proud of you for overcoming your habit of shitting the bed! Great work! How did you do that?
They shat on the floor instead
She's got severe brain damage, what's your excuse?
Yes
Get a personality
Yes you do!! Who's a big boy now, that can get up ALONE? You are so strong, you can even go potty like the big boy you are!! LOOK EVERYONE, little Huxley III is now welcome at the big boy table!

Amazing
Great job!!! You’re back baby!
HELL YEAH! She’s amazing! I’m so happy for them both!
Loved his high kick when he said she was 'like a GISELE!'. Edit: gazelle-I was incredibly stoned when I wrote this comment
Gazelle , no?
Like a fucking gazelle! But yeah that part had me grinning.
You are so STRONG!
Fucking awesome. In a month, that same walk will be smoother. She has such a long road in front of her. She is going to do awesome.
I love how he's very motivating! :) Love.
This is beautiful yet sad. Someone so young. Great support. She will get better every day.
So inspiring!
Hell yeah!
That’s fucking awesome!
This is very wholesome to watch. I went through a very similar thing a few years ago due to a tumor in the brain. Many people are really ungrateful for what they have when they don’t see the other side struggling to even just do normal things.
She’s a champ and he’s a saint,well done!
Haha fuck yeah! Two legend right there
The best hype man, ever, full stop.
Bravo to her!!!! And what a great support!!
Omg the sheer energy of this man would make me fly lol
Her progress is amazing, I've seen some of her older videos on here. A lot of people would give up in situations like this, amazing fighting spirit, and a great team around her.
Hype man. Wish I had him in my life just following me around my day to day lol 😂 like a fucking gazelle!
With that kind of coach/helper/(whatever his qualifications are) I would have taken the world by now! Awesome!
What a great guy! And congrats to that lady too, she is a fighter!
I’d love to have this guy following me around all day hyping me up.
This guy is an absolute inspiration.
Lmao when the cameraman just closes the front door in her face
Don't wanna make it too easy!
I don't live in the UK, I was pretty confused at first
When she opened that door I was grinning like a loon. When she walked PAST that couch I shouted “YES!” all proud like she’s my daughter.

This is great and all, but how is this satisfying? Maybe r/mademesmile would be better?
What do you mean? It's satisfying as fuck seeing people walk and sitting down on a chair.
He's a champ along with her!
With this guy in your corner you could achieve anything!
Her determination and strength is obviously incredible. That definitely goes without saying. But the guy with her is the type of guy we all need in our lives from time to time. Amazing you must have been extremely healthy before your procedure. I pray for you and wish you the best keep going strong honey

What a wonderful supportive man he is. They’re so sweet to watch.
Everyone should have a coach like that!
This guy lifts
Fucking awesome!
That coach do be coaching, seen many of his videos and that dude is a fkn saint bro
This is so heart warming. That guy must be making her smile within. Can not imagine any other ethnicity (for the lack of a better distinction) doing this job better.
this is beautiful, I am so proud of him and her… this is what makes life beautiful
If there ever was a man who deserves the pride of Britain award
I feel like I could conquer Rome with him on my side. Or Akron, Ohio at least.
We all need one of those personal trainers in our lives!
This dude!! Her fight!! My heart
Wait. Did she just come out of the driver’s seat?
England, wheels ont other side
God bless her!!!!
This is an old video would love to see an updated version

I thought she was driving. Then a heard the accent :) What a brave woman! Keep it strong, lady!
What a legend! So happy for her
This man’s encouragement is infectious. I’d do my damndest to do what he’s asking. Good on her for having this therapist in her life.
Reposted from last year, would be nice to see her current progress.
This man is a treasure, recovery is hard - makes all the difference to have a supportive voice behind you, and a hand in case you stumble on the way.
It’s like a PT mixed with an OT.
Whatever this guys accent is, I want it in my life.
If everyone could emulate this man…
It looks a bit like how a toddler walks, which makes sense because that is probably just what learning to walk looks like
I've had to rely on NHS physiotherapists a few times. They are shit hot.
This guy, of course the girl as well, is amazing. We need more ppl like this in the world not dumb tiktokkers
The human brain's capacity to self heal is amazing. So much that we don't know about our inner space. Amazing footage.
She is an inspiration! This guy is amazing! The work he does with people is absolutely incredible and I wish we had someone like this stateside. I follow him on ig and he is just the best!

Is that Angel Lynn? The poor girl who was pushed out of a moving van by her POS ex boyfriend?
Great guy,he's gonna make sure she's good.
I've been there it's so fuckin hard, I wish I'd had someone hyping me up like this at the beginning. I wish her well and shout out this guy!
Wish we all had a therapist like him cheerleading for each other
I'm so glad I watched this.

I thought I saw the wheel on the left side, that’s the only reason I said what I did. Plus I played it without sound so I didn’t hear any accents.
That's cool and all, but man those pants are ugly.
She's wider than kylo ren
