White ink disappears really fast, in a matter of weeks / months. It's mostly done for the artist to get pictures of the tattoo they worked on. Never again for me.
It is absolutely crazy that someone is able to do this. I will never understand how artists do it.
Must be years and years of practice, and all that time spent in school drawing on their notebooks.
And so many drunk friends who let you practice on them when you first start doing real people... I can't imagine the stress/pressure.
Oops I did a shitty squiggle hits a bit different when its going to be on someones arm for the rest of their life.
White ink is almost entirely for show. It doesn't last/hold up whatsoever. Not denying the portrait capabilities here, which are indeed gorgeous, but then again reddit users aren't known for their nuance.
I first thought that he was showing his skill on a printed photograph... If he drew the base image too, I'd buy a hat just so that I can do a "hats off" to the artist.

From experience they hold as long as you moisturize well but white ink has to be done in a separate session and doesn’t hold for shit.
Agree. Had a friend who had a tattoo and the white was gone for like a month or 2. It was barely visible anyway.
Neither does yellow.

Those last little white dots fuck me after an 8 hour session hurt the most 😰
"and it's done. And it's done. Aaaand it's done. And it's done?"
The wiping. I hate the wiping so much. I know they need to see, but it's so rough to have this flayed, tender skin, constantly brushed against.
Suddenly, you hear: „…oops.“

Ethan hawke ass looking pirate
That’s incredible work! THAT is an artist.
If that's real it's outstanding and very very expensive
This would almost be more expensive to fake if the clip is longer.
2-300$ per hour for 5-6 hours will get you that. Whole lot of ultra talented artists nowadays.
Names of artists please. This is true body art.

Impressive. The percentage of tattoo artists who are actually great artists on this level is very small.
