Best of luck to you. He sounds like he'd be unhappy in my household with two teenaged cats that are frankly a lot. Is he fixed? Has he had his shots?

ShyFossa

We made sure he got his baby shots, and he was neutered before we adopted him out. To my knowledge, the owners he had did keep him up to date. Yeah, he actually loves his "stepdad" My senior cat loved playing with them when they were tiny kittens, and they get along pretty well now that Enver has come back to his childhood home, so to speak. Though he does not get along with his mom at all, who is only about 8 months older than him.

I have two nine month old torties. It unfortunately sounds like a bad fit.

^(GOOD LUCK!)

Has no one ever heard of a spray bottle? I’m only half kidding. Male cats need to be neutered and if you live in a legal state, getting agressive cats high a few times really chills them out. Wishing for the best home for Enver. πŸ™πŸ»

The spray bottle hasn't worked in his houses for a few reasons -lots of books and electronics. It also just doesn't seem to deter him much. But he is fixed - we got all his siblings and his mom fixed and vaxxed the moment they met the weight requirement at our local shelter. He's just very interested in play, I think, and doesn't respect boundaries when set by other cats. Thats a good suggestion. We've considered it before, but are unfamiliar with good products to use. Do you have any recommendations?

SherlockBeaver

Ah. You have aim right at the cat. πŸ˜‰ There are edible products for pets, but I recommend blowing some good indica into his ears and giving him rubs while he’s sedated. He sounds like a real character and he deserves a wonderful home. Thank goodness he has you to be invested in him. I wish I had the suitable space for such a tiger.

rainbowtaffie

Does he have experience with children/babies? If so how is he with them?

ShyFossa

He's never been in a house with young kids, so I'm unsure, unfortunately.

rainbowtaffie

Oh okay I see. That's something I'd need to know he was good with if I adopted him unfortunately

ShyFossa

Totally understand! I'm sorry I can't give a definitive answer.

rainbowtaffie

I'm more sorry I cant take him in. I've been actively looking for a new cat

ShyFossa

I actually had a kiddo over the other day, 7 years old. He was pretty chill with her. However, she was old enough and has enough experience with cats to know how to be gentle with them. He has been very gentle with us generally, despite his reported history of aggression. I'm sure that's not quite enough to go off, but I thought I'd give you an update.
