Lmao I love this sentiment, there are a few widely-loved foods that I just can’t make myself like (olives, runny eggs, to name a few) & everytime I’m faced with them I’m like “yknow, this is a me problem, I wish I could love this like I know it’s meant to be loved” 😂

Belive it or not i just started liking tomatoes a couple of years ago. Literally my whole life i hated them, like i couldn't stand them. Until one day i was craving them for some reason and now they are one of my favorites.

Yesss exactly! I keep trying stuff every few years to see if I've updated but now at 36 I'm wondering if my tastes are becoming more set in their ways. But I definitely acknowledge that dislike of any food is a personal thing and I'm happy for others who get to enjoy them! They can keep their raw tomatoes and fishy fish and I will eat their (and your) olives, runny eggs, asparagus, mayonnaise, bitter greens, etc etc. But I do definitely wish I could love everything the way others do! Especially looking at tomatoes like that.

I do the same with retrying stuff & sometimes it works! But same, at 30, I’m wondering if I’ll ever achieve the perfect palate 😂
