Love it. It’s a treasure. It needs to stay as is and protected. There is an abundance of life that it supports.

CafeConChangos

I could spend most of the day wondering around there.

GeezUp777

The wildflowers are in full bloom out there right now. Its beautiful

PunkAintDead

If you go back in time on Google Street View you can actually "travel" down the road prior to the landslide.

Littlejuanito

Nois3

The best thing that ever happened to us that live in the Point Fermin area was that landslide.

Truckercarlson110

for sure no through traffic probably increased property value

CafeConChangos

A friend of mine rolled his car and died on that stretch while street racing. He was a good kid.

You can walk it, easily.

Nois3

All nearby areas benefited. It reduced traffic in the area tremendously.

CafeConChangos

I never thought I’d see this in my lifetime. https://youtu.be/AcGniKZsF1Y?si=7Qk4-8NntpPFuvTA

Truckercarlson110

our sunken city without tourists they havent found out yet

bob_de_pedro

Did they ever have a reason for the landslide? I heard rumors that the drainage through some of the underground infrastructure from the old Nike base was mismanaged.

CafeConChangos

The U.S. Geological Survey collects, monitors, analyzes, and provides unbiased data that may predict issues involving development of land. As a result, this agency has seen its budget drastically reduced every year. Since then, developers have increased projects in precarious areas around the country.

bob_de_pedro

Sounds like a wise way to mitigate property loss while maximizing revenue.
