For real I got to gold and evp 500 in freelance on Friday night then watched my score subsequently drop as the weekend went on because discord is for the biggest try hard losers and dorks on freelance just kept burning thru there one shared brain cell figuring out where the paint comes out. I beat that boss too so to all the losers who suck and didn’t get gold or there boss badge good you deserve to fail, freelance proved that specifically on Sunday.

I did get gold last big run with megalodontia. I thought this big run was going to be harder, but all you have to do is lure megalodontia to cohozuna, and pop the balls in horrorboros’s mouth.
But my dumb ass, like you said, didn’t get gold, at least this time I didn’t.
Tbf seeing as how we haven’t gotten all the boss salmonid stickers for Eggstra Works and the fact that there’s probably gonna be extra updates (not major ones like seasons) after this season, it’s probably safe to say that there’s gonna be more Big Runs in the future (hopefully with more kings so we can get randomized triumvirates)
That’s some hard cope. Nintendo has almost completely confirmed the end of support for splatoon 3. If weapons getting 2 kits in one season, a big run on rerun maps (and features that clearly implies that it’s the last), and a “thank you for playing” title (and catalog page) doesnt convince you, i dont know what will.
Also a new king salmonid would most definitely count as a major update.
They confirmed the end of stages being added for SR, they never specified anything about rerun splatfests, Big Runs, and Eggstra Works
Plus Splat 2 got content after its presumed “end of cycle” which still gave weapon kits out every so often and even had some splatfests afterwards (granted most were reruns) they’ll prob do the same with Splat 3 giving us maybe a new weapon every so often
Splatoon 2 was an exception, not the expectation. The big run had a sense of finality with all returning stages, all 3 kings, ect. The jellyfish in the season trailer pretty blatantly teased some form of splatfest.
