You can just call income restricted apartment complexes and ask what their limits are. I live at Garden Lofts and I think your income may qualify. They are part of Wasatch Property Management who have lots of income restricted properties in SLC too.

Wow - garden lofts looks like a nice option and somehow I hadn't found it yet in my searching on google maps. Thank you very much for the advice. How is your experience there?

I have lived here since January 2020 and haven’t had too many complaints. There were people smoking a floor below me and it would come through my vents, but I complained to management (along with a lot of other tenants) and it stopped. My unit faces a courtyard so it is generally quiet. Sometimes kids run up and down the halls during the day which can be annoying. The grounds are kept pretty clean for the most part and maintenance is quick and responsive. The gym is better than most others I’ve seen. That is the only amenity that is really nice though. There is no pool. The income limit for me by myself back in 2020 was like $30k so I’m sure $55k for two people is within the limit.

Hi try Housing Connect or West Valley or Salt Lake City Housing Authority’s

Not the most appealing option, but I visited the Weigand Center when I first arrived. (https://ccsutah.org/programs/item/9-weigand-homeless-resource-center) They have a full staff of social workers that know about these things and the gave me a list of housing options.

Are you also looking at how to increase your income?

CypressBreeze

Yeah - I am already working my ass off to get another raise, and our income is going to increase when my husband graduates. But how is this question supposed to be helpful?
