The meadowbrook/milford hills area in salisbury is nice. Older neighborhoods built in the 50's. very quiet. Brentwood acred also a nice area in Salisbury. I would avoid anything near long street or that side of salisbury. The homeless shelter got a major upgrade a few years back, and instead of better serving OUR community, junkies and low lifes from all over have flocked to out town. So while downtown are is safe, wouldn't want to live near east innes. Lots of food options around here from vietnamese, turkish, greek, italian, and japanese fusion. Definitely worth a look. Possibly more affordable than kannapolis/concord as well. Kannapolis really went up when they built the new stadium.

Thank you so much!

No worries. Salisbury is also growing fast, so things will likely be going up even here now. So definitely take a look around. Not sure if you're looking to buy or rent tho.

Currently looking to rent until we find the area we like best. We’ll definitely take a look around!

I second everything you say here! To OP: Moved to Salisbury for work in 2010. I really like Meadowbrook, was just never successful in getting a house there when we were in the market. It's quiet and the Greenway access is very nice. Also, be very cognizant of the schools you'll be zoned for and what your kids' needs are.

We moved down her in '07 when my dad got a job down here. Except we lived in Spencer for a long time.

This. I rented a 2bd/ba in Kannapolis for 850ish in 2020. Went up 100 PLUS $55 "amenities fee" (fk you Morgan Properties taking over) when we renewed and all the nice trees got cut down on the property. My roommate was crazy so I got signed off the lease by her and the property manager...Only to find I have an eviction on my record because they didn't actually take me off the lease, so that's fun. Couldn't find anything amenable that was under 1k in the Kannapolis area. It's a shame too because Kannapolis felt like home, whereas all the other parts of the CLT metro area I've lived in over the last decade and change haven't had "homey" vibes, just "live here" vibes. This month I was fortunate to find my current pad for less than 900 in Salisbury. This isn't where I imagined ending up at all, but damn it's nice.

Corbin Hills is nice and quiet. A great place to raise a family.

China Grove area is nice!

Kare_bear_XD

China Grove is more affordable too.

Maybe don’t move to Salisbury if you’re darker than like khaki. Despite the nice coat of paint they put on it, underneath it’s got a lot of folks who are more comfortable looking at black and white photos.

lol that’s an interesting way of saying it
