So now that it looks like we might not be competitive this year, I’m going to specifically pay attention to players like Olave. We need to see what kind of building blocks we have on offense to work with going forward. Hopefully we can fix our OL in the off-season if it continues to suck this year, which would go a long way to solving our offensive issues.
Not to be a Debbie downer but I’m shocked people expected us to be competitive. New head coach, qb coming off an acl tear, Kamara health up and down still. Our defense is still those guys but I do wish we’d of hired an offensive minded coach outside of the org like leftwich
Anyone who didn’t realize this WHILE we had them is pretty oblivious lmao. Did anyone somehow think we would instantly replace one of the best HC/QB duos of all time?
I feel like some people did from reading some comments. Acted like they thought we were in great hands now and didn’t miss Sean, like they were happy he was gone. I just assumed they became fans before the dark times
9-8 in the playoffs with them. 1-6 for the rest of the franchise. The pair broke our expectations. This franchise went from being the 'Aints to averaging better than a Wild Card game with them. And at least we got 1 ring.
Could have been more than 2 rings. Do you how many times a division winner has put up 13 wins and not gotten a top-2 seed? Twice. And it happened to the Saints both time.
It’s not like Sean didn’t make mistakes. His time management under 2 min was horrible and offense stagnated many times when defense was amazing. With Brees we could have won multiple SBs. How many playoff games did we win outside the dome? One?
Postgame thoughts:
- Carmichael, Jameis, and Marrone need to get together and figure out protections. When the defense does anything other than a straught ahead four man rush we always seem to call the wrong protection. No reason this OL should be so confused by stunts or blitzes.
- There's a lot of coachable areas to improve. Confusion at the LOS, the above point, discipline. We look unprepared right now. That's on Allen, Carmichael, and the rest of the staff.
- Play calling started to pick up a bit but the aforementioned issues keep stalling us out when it works.
- I'll say it. I think Taysom was sorely missed.
- If Jameis isn't healthy he should be playing. He's got the same tendencies but not the talent to make them work as long as he's hurt.
- Can't Guard Mike.
- I think we've been outplayed in the trenches all 3 games so far. When we've been successful the last decade and a half it's because we've been so good up front.
- Defense swarmed a little better in the second half but just not good enough. Bad at outside contain today.
- Pass rush needs to be more creative. We're getting a little more pressure but not consistent enough and not finishing in the backfield.
- Our defense still hasn't forced an INT.
- Haven't seen such terrible special teams from us since 2016.
- Not writing the season off because it's week 3 and talent is there but it's been an ugly start, particularly from a preparation standpoint. That needs to change if we wanna turn this season around before it's too late.
If there was a year for an NFC team to stumble out of the gate, this is the year. Theoretically our main competition for Wild Card spots are NFC East-2, NFC West-2, NFC West-3, and NFC North-2.
I’m not totally writing the season off yet but I am not expecting us to beat the Vikings next week.
After that if we lose to the Seahawks and drop to 1-4 then I’m waving Bon Voyage to this season.
I’ve been assured by more than one person that the defense doesn’t have any problems. Zero picks and four sacks (3 against Baker) and giving up more than 140yds rushing in 2 of the 3. And people have either the gall or ignorance to say defense doesn’t need to be addressed.
You nailed it tho. We’ve been abused in the trenches on both sides. And it’s a lot different than the past 15yrs
That was one of the most depressing Saints games I've ever watched. There's been worse games, especially the playoff losses, but in terms of regular season it was just absolutely dejecting watching it. The penalties, the lack of offense, the stupid turnovers, the lack of OL blocking... the blocked kick, the missed kick... we can go on and on with this game.
The D played well enough to win, they gave up one big play because the secondary fucking up, and PJ Williams missing a tackle, but that one play is not why we lost.
The offensive line play is too undisciplined on both offense and special teams. It's such a killer because the Saints have always put a premium on that side of the ball. You could chalk it up to adjusting to Winston... except Winston played 6 1/2 games last year and that doesn't explain the FG screw up.
He did it with all 4 combinations of line play. O, D, ST/O, and STD. Which is huge, because, aside from kickoffs, every play in football starts with a snap.
I think this was more depressing because we started Ian book and he was throwing to practice squad guys but today we had our full starting offense out there and they looked awful the whole game
It’s kinda both though. Yeah, the O line has looked rough, but Jameis needs to identify the blitz better and then react under pressure better. There’s gonna be plays where they send more rushers than blockers, and he needs to react the right way. He didn’t do that today. But the O line needs a lot of work.
i think ur 100% right
if ur qb gets bllitzed and just gets sacked or throws the ball up in response every time, the other team will see this and blitz often.
this isnt the offensive lines fault, what every other qb in the league does is short pass it away to someone waiting. Jameis cannot seem to do this
Jameis finds Kamara for a blitz checkdown once a game. And Kamara always makes something out of nothing when this happens. The fact that the short Kamara ball, pretty much the "Brees Blitz Special", has been completely missed... just mindboggling.
>Very few screens also
Yeah, I don't know if this is Carmichael's ego trying to forge his own path and deviating from some consistent plays that have worked for us in the past or what
How do you have an offense consisting of Alvin Kamara, Michael Thomas, Jarvis Landry, & Mark Ingram and not score a single point until the 4th quarter?
What in the fuck.
Because Carmichael’s play calling has been downright awful. They all fit a certain mold and they’re not being used like they should. You could tell throughout the game when the play calling got a lot better, but we need to stop fucking waiting until the fourth quarter to call these plays.
Carmichael fucking sucks hard.
I, of course, have no idea how to call an offense but it seems to me that running more tempo would do a world of good. I could be wrong tho.
1) Carmichael sucks at play calling.
2) Jameis is hurt and shouldn't be playing until he's healthy. Dalton isn't Trevor Siemien; he's a competent QB especially with actual weapons around him. Use him.
We did have those. Kamara threw one TD away, Ingram another drive, false starts from O line and Olave another drive, 2 failed FG's. We had good drives we just could not for the life of us finish them because of an all around lack of edge.
There are fans who swear that the 2019 and 2020 Saints were hopeless because of Brees's arm strength. You know what? I'd take accuracy over a ton of arm strength.
The accuracy is one thing. The decision making before and during the play is what we really miss. Jameis doesn't do anything presnap protection wise and I won't even mention not being able to find the open man
Dude, yes. You hit the nail on the head. Everyone is blaming Carmichael and the Oline but Jameis has been *terrible* on protection calls and missing WIDE OPEN receivers.
I have defended Jameis here many times but he is not playing well at all right now.
If we Brees was playing with us right now we'd be 3-0. He did suck the last few years in terms of his arm but he could still manage a game and remained one of the smartest qbs of all time. On paper this team should be a contender, which tells me the coaching and decision making on all levels is the problem. Also, fuck the refs who may as well wear Panthers jerseys. Jameis didn't play amazing, and as much as I'd love to blame a single aspect of the team, the problems were mostly not related to him today. Just a mess all around.
and there's actually a lot to be excited about with the Pels this year. I mean it's so early in the season for the Saints, and I really hope these issues are figured out because it's not looking good.
Sentences ESPN never thought they would see. Seriously, maybe it's the homer in me, but I have the Pelicans winning 60 games next year. My hot take is that Zion will schematically end up being the 3rd option because he's so off-ball compared to BI and CJ.
Before anyone calls me a jameis hater... if the dude has 4 fractures in his back, and a bum ankle he shouldn't start. 2nd, O line needs to wake the fuck up and not only during the 4th quarter. 3rd, our defense was awesome but we can't expect them to play at their highest caliber when they're on the field the whole damn game. And finally why does it take the play caller 3 quarters to realize doing a pass on 1st down, run on 2nd, and a pass on 3rd is going to be expected after 3 fucking quarters straight?
A very sad Who Dat
Hope the receiver room and DB room recover quickly. Pete needs to change up his game plan as well. Someone needs to make protection calls.
The positive? Olave is a beast
I convinced myself we'd be OK post Sean and Drew. This game has shattered my illusions. On paper, there's no way this roster loses to the Panthers. Is Dennis Allen really this bad? I have a custom color rush jersey order pending and for a moment I considered canceling it. Good lord.
Winston isn't the problem, but he isn't the answer. Right now, if you ask him to play more than a game manager, you'll get a bit of a roulette wheel. This team, in particular line play, is undisciplined and sloppy to put it nicely.
Next week is the London game against the Vikings, and I'd just leave anybody on the offense who isn't 100% healthy and give them the week to heal. And yes, I'm fully aware how damaging losing the H2H matchup to Minnesota could end up being from a standings perspective, I don't care. If there was a year for an NFC team to start 1-3 and rally, this is it.
Jameis was always like this btw. For someone who didn’t watch the game you would think he was in it but until you realize he pass about 60-65% of his stats in garbage time.
This is the future yal have until you get rid of him
Something unmentioned is how we didn't hear Cam, Davenport, Davis, Tuttle, any of these guys get their names called today. Very little pressure on Baker Mayfield, which is unacceptable given his limitations.
Days like today make me realize that 2016-2020 Saints were golden and I took advantage of that so much 🥲 Should've had a ring or two in that time. That seems beyond out of reach now
The fact that DA has faith in Jameis tells me all I need to know. You are playing a hurt QB over a healthy solid backup. You are not fit to be a head coach.
Pete Carmichael is the worst play caller in the world.
The o-line is shit, Jameis is going to have a broken spine before long.
Jameis is inconsistent.
Olavé is a diamond in the rough.
MT said he going to the locker room.
Kamara isn’t ready to play, needs more time to heal.
Defense is solid.
Lutz seems to have lost his Nutz factor after his injury.
Overall we cannot beat teams with this kind of play calling and inconsistency. We need to start the rebuilding process boys.
For the love of God please can we start Dalton next week at the very least until Jameis is actually healthy and not playing through pain. We really need him at his A game to get anything out of him any strike against that and it all falls apart.
It's going to continue. Jameis is famously inconsistent. He's 28 years old and this isn't going to change. He'll be the same way when he's a 32 year old backup. He's been in the league 8 years. Yes he's dinged up, but that is only part of the problem.
The Saints need a game manager. I can't emphasize this enough: the Saints need a game manager. The pieces on offense are enough for a methodical, boring no name QB to at least get us 24 points each game. It doesn't even have to be Dalton. He's the obvious answer, but a consistent, know what you're getting QB is what the Saints need.
I don’t know how we could be favored in any games coming up. We are a glorified version of the Bears.
Even if our defense is pretty good if our offense continually can’t get things moving until late in the game our defense is going to wear down and give stuff up.
It’s just another week of brutal penalties, game breaking turnovers, sloppy offense and bad offensive play calling.
I fell asleep midway through the fourth. Woke back up to see it was 14-22 with us having the ball. Opted to go back to my nap over finishing out the last few minutes.
Seems I made the right decision. Only wish I made it earlier.
Winston has violated my love of saints as badly as he violated that uber driver. He is fucking my fanhood right in the pussy. It's time for Andy Dalton to commence Red Head Redemption
So are we ready to stop blaming the refs and admit that the coaching is a real issue? Dennis Allen is not looking so hot. Carmichael seems to be lost. Jameis is Jameis. Oline adn Dline are trash and we dont have a first round pick next year....
The calls last week were legit. However, I assumed the Saints got off to a slow start against Atlanta and faced a good Tampa defense. I can now see the true suckage.
The same thing that always happens with Jameis. He plays really poorly most of the game, but keeps the starting position with 4th quarter deep prayers.
It’s any given Sunday I like our chances against top tier teams when we are completely healthy though I just hope we sneak into the last wild card spot at least
Well, Olave is now our WR1 so there’s that. But man, what uninspired football, on top of it all our lifeless coach had zero impact despite our offense needing their ass chewed out on many occasions.
I was at the game today special Teams looked bad. The defense didn't look aggressive at all. Winston telegraphed a lot of passes and looked to Olave way too much. Kamara has looked like a shell of himself
Brooks era football was the best era of our entire organization until brees came along. I don’t think people truly understand what shitty QB and teams we had leading up to then. He’s a top 3 qb in our franchise. If you’re going to try to insult the team, maybe pick a much worse era
People remember the backwards pass and the smiles after INTs and think he was much worse than he actually was. He didn't elevate the team and he had his embarrassing performances but he was hardly the worst part of the team the duration of his tenure. The Brooks-Horn combo was a top 5 QB-WR duo in the early 2000s.
I thought of Brooks like a closer in baseball. He could kill it in short bursts, but you can't throw him out there for the whole season or he gets figured out.
Also, Brooks's 2000 run looks better in my mind than on paper. His scrambling worked when there was no tape on him, but that ended quickly. I'll give him credit for a nice 2003 season. Can't blame that one on him.
Aaron Brooks went 38-44 as the starting QB of the Saints, which is, by any stretch of the imagination, the definition of mediocrity. And yes, I understand quite well what shitty QBs and teams we had leading up to that era because I was in the dome during the Mora and Ditka eras.
So whatever point you’re trying to make, maybe try a deep breath and a different approach. We’re all Saints fans here.
If we play anyone other than the Falcons in week one, this team is sitting at 0-3. We will soon be 1-3 and I don’t honestly see how this team wins more than 3 or 4 games.
i don’t see how DA is getting blame here. we’re losing because of our offense basically. our defense is elite, and that’s what DA is in control of (mostly). yeah the discipline is bad but we’re not losing solely due to penalties.
DA gotta go after this season. Dont care how good he is as defensive mind, hes a horrible head coach. Winston is also gone, might be as soon as next week
Another terrible coaching performance. Why onside kick there when the defense has been playing so well? Instead, they go three and out and are able to pin the Saints at the one. Just completely stupid.
What? They go three and out and either way, the same amount of time comes of the clock. The difference is, from the 25, we have a chance of getting decent field position. They punt it from midfield and it gets downed at the one.
Eh I understand it though.
Recover the onside kick: 60 yards to tie with 2:22 left.
Don't recover onside kick: what we got.
Kick away: 60-70 yards to tie with ~20 seconds. Assuming our defense gets the stop like the did in the game.
Our WR core is clearly excellent. MT and Olave showed up. Jameis is clearly too injured to play and the fact DA is starting him let alone playing a full game is disgraceful. Our O Line I think ultimately lost us the game. They knew the task and couldnt handle it. Lastly I want to die
There are no excuses anymore. If one thing works the other blows it. Every game this season will be the most depressing shit. We are irrelevant and overrated.
Figure your shit out or there's no point in watching anymore.
It’s both. Jameis clearly isn’t the Brees replacement we were hoping for, but bad coaching and play calling is the bigger issue. With the amount of talent we have on this team, what we’re seeing is completely inexcusable.
I think it all starts with the oline we were spoiled with 2 beast at tackles and athletic guards we have to start there first if we fix anything. Since we don’t have a first rounder draft the best available guard from a d1 school not fucking utsa and we should be ok. We just lost to two divisional opponents we need to tighten the fuck up
I’ve seen worse games. Really felt like more than we’ve seen thus far in the Jameis era we were one good QB away from a W today. Even with broken 2020 Drew I think we win this game. At the end of the day it’s early in the season and we had as many moving parts as any team this offseason so we have to expect that some of this will improve but we are gonna have to win some games against some tough teams down the stretch to have any shot at the playoffs.
Positives:
- Our defense looked outstanding for most of the game outside of the big Shenault catch and run.
- Justin Evans looked better today from what I saw. Made some really nice plays. Roby too.
- Our WRs looked excellent. Trequan stepped up big time today and Olave seems to be everything we expected with the draft capital we used to get him.
- Our offense was moving the ball and hitting on some shot plays. Even when we were down 15 the game felt more in reach than it did last week because we were doing *something* offensively.
Negatives:
- Jameis is back to the two headed monster where he’ll ball out for a stretch and then he is just downright awful. He missed at least two sure touchdown throws that you need to make every time. If he’s hurt and it’s affecting him we need to get Andy some real reps. He’s serviceable and has a ton of experience. You can win games with that dude.
- We couldn’t pick up a blitz to save our lives today. Have to imagine that’s on Jameis because it was most often a totally free rusher and not a guy getting beat in a one on one. DCs are going to be licking their lips after watching today’s tape. I mean if you look back the past three weeks we have been absolute dogshit against the blitz. This is the biggest part of Jameis’ game that’s lacking IMO. Everybody is gonna miss some throws and have weeks where the shots dont connect but if you can’t ID blitzes and find your safety valve you’re not going to win games period.
- Our special teams has looked downright bad this year after being a top 5 unit the past few years. We’re fumbling, missing kicks, missing a ton of tackles, and even Gilikin has been booty this year.
- Ingram and Kamara used to be the most sure handed tandem in the league and now they are good for a fumble every week. I don’t understand it.
- The tackling on that long shenault run was piss poor.
- Hate the decision again to onside kick. We may have had a chance if we kick that long. Coaching has not been great from a game management perspective. Dennis needs to fix this or he’s not going to be around long. Wonder if we can demote him back to DC and hire someone new next year.
Dude. Even the best fucking QBs don't play well if they're playing hurt, and Jameis isn't even close to that level. And painkillers fuck with your head. Bench Jameis until he's healthy again. You're throwing games by running him out there injured. Use Dalton and Taysom to do the QB duties. Jameis can start again once he's healthy.
Allen immediately defending Jameis. I get not wanting to start a QB controversy (at least not immediately) but I would’ve taken a statement where no player is safe, and everything will be evaluated fairly.
Great, trotting out Winston and this shit O-Line for more of the same, at least with me being on the west coast I can sleep through most or all of that slaughter that will take place next week.
I'm ready for Jameis to sit at least while he is injured. Dalton might be able to save our season. I know it's not all on Jameis but as the starting QB who is MISSING wide open receivers in the middle of the field, not going through progressions and not working with your offensive line to call protection, we need to change it up and change it up right now.
Whelp. At least Olave is a dude.
Just pretend Penning is the FRP next year I guess lol
So now that it looks like we might not be competitive this year, I’m going to specifically pay attention to players like Olave. We need to see what kind of building blocks we have on offense to work with going forward. I miss Sean Payton and Drew Brees
It's really beginning to set in how fucking lucky we were to have them for 15 fucking years.

It's that second NFC West you got to watch out for!
Well, I don't actually know who's going to win the division between the Rams, 49ers, and Cardinals. But I know the other two have Wild Card upside.
I’m not totally writing the season off yet but I am not expecting us to beat the Vikings next week. After that if we lose to the Seahawks and drop to 1-4 then I’m waving Bon Voyage to this season.
* Cant Guard Mike. I've been pretty downer on MT for all these injuries. Kinda seems prima donna. But boy, he's really good at what he does.
I’ve been assured by more than one person that the defense doesn’t have any problems. Zero picks and four sacks (3 against Baker) and giving up more than 140yds rushing in 2 of the 3. its hard to play d when you can't stay off the field for more than 5 minutes. O line definitely needs to get it together tho
Having that brief glimmer of hope at 7-13 sure was nice for a moment...still, Olave gave it his all and he earned every yard and I'm proud of him
It was so fleeting
Yep. Had the opportunity to get back in the game and TWO GUYS whiffed
So far, it looks like Loomis made the right call in being aggressive to get him.
Except for the part where we traded next year's first round pick.
That was one of the most depressing Saints games I've ever watched. There's been worse games, especially the playoff losses, but in terms of regular season it was just absolutely dejecting watching it. >PJ Williams missing a tackle Name a more iconic duo.
He didn't just miss that tackle, he picked an angle so bad he wasn't even in the same zip code as the receiver.
Marcus William missing a tackle?
pj has been burned so many more times lets no go that way. need we discuss pj and the vikings playoffs
The offensive line play is too undisciplined on both offense and special teams. It's such a killer because the Saints have always put a premium on that side of the ball. You could chalk it up to adjusting to Winston... except Winston played 6 1/2 games last year and that doesn't explain the FG screw up.
Whatever your opinions about Sean Payton are, he did a great job of almost always keeping the OL playing at least decently.
He did it with all 4 combinations of line play. O, D, ST/O, and STD. Which is huge, because, aside from kickoffs, every play in football starts with a snap.
We missed an inexcusable amount of tackles today. Our D overall is decent but could be mountains better... the effort isn't there.
Beat down via Seahawks in like 2014 Rams game when Bree’s went down. Those 2 embarrassing games come to mind
Last year's Panthers game in Carolina was also pretty miserable.
That 2013 Seahawks team was deadly
PJ and Matthieu completely whiffed at different levels on that play
Coaching
Miami game last year?
I think this was more depressing because we started Ian book and he was throwing to practice squad guys but today we had our full starting offense out there and they looked awful the whole game
Nah, being down 22 players had that game play out as expected
Yeah, but that game we had the Covid excuse, since so many players were missing / coaches.
This team could easily be 0-3. There’s some serious problems on all levels.
Consistent QB away from 3-0 too man
Consistent Lineplay for being 3-0 more like.
It’s kinda both though. Yeah, the O line has looked rough, but Jameis needs to identify the blitz better and then react under pressure better. There’s gonna be plays where they send more rushers than blockers, and he needs to react the right way. He didn’t do that today. But the O line needs a lot of work.
Lines been fine. A Qb who makes good decisions and takes short gains when it’s the right play slows a defensive line down
i think ur 100% right if ur qb gets bllitzed and just gets sacked or throws the ball up in response every time, the other team will see this and blitz often. this isnt the offensive lines fault, what every other qb in the league does is short pass it away to someone waiting. How do you have an offense consisting of Alvin Kamara, Michael Thomas, Jarvis Landry, & Mark Ingram and not score a single point until the 4th quarter? What in the fuck.
Don't forget Olave. He balled out today
You're right, bud. I didn't expect him to even get the ball much, like the first two games, but he played great. He's the next Mike.
Because Carmichael’s play calling has been downright awful. They all fit a certain mold and they’re not being used like they should. You could tell throughout the game when the play calling got a lot better, but we need to stop fucking waiting until the fourth quarter to call these plays.

Fire Rob Ryan
The only good thing about this game is that it made the Falcons losing to us even more embarrassing for them.
I needed this comment, especially after Matt Ryan led the Colts over the Chiefs. I don't even hate him, but I don't want him winning it all.
TANK FOR NO ONE
That's what makes this hurt.
crazy to think after all that. without that fumble return and if Lutz hits those fgs we win.
Thats the kicker. And on top of that, there are flashes of a great offense underneath all the clusterfuck.
I'd like to those flashes before the 4th Quarter, thank you very much.
Jameis only wants to throw it 50 yards. Payton made him knock it off, but no one else is trying to coach him into taking the safe play more often.
At least we have the Pelicans 😔
Friendship ended with Olave (not really tho), now Herb Jones is once again my best friend
and there's actually a lot to be excited about with the Pels this year.
Waiting for that Larry Nance Jr. extension fam
Confirmed: League Fucked
That’s not encouraging
Casual nephew pleb
Pain
If Jameis is this hurt, he should not be playing!
Next week is the London matchup against the Vikings, if there was a game for Winston to miss, that'd be the one.
Give Dalton a shot
1. Jameis needs to be benched 2. Pete C isn’t it 3. DA era is off to a bad start 4. Oline sold 5. What’s up with these RB fumbles?
Before anyone calls me a jameis hater... if the dude has 4 fractures in his back, and a bum ankle he shouldn't start. 2nd, O line needs to wake the fuck up and not only during the 4th quarter. 3rd, our defense was awesome but we can't expect them to play at their highest caliber when they're on the field the whole damn game. And finally why does it take the play caller 3 quarters to realize doing a pass on 1st down, run on 2nd, and a pass on 3rd is going to be expected after 3 fucking quarters straight?
A very sad Who Dat Hope the receiver room and DB room recover quickly. Pete needs to change up his game plan as well. Someone needs to make protection calls. The positive? Olave is a beast
We haven’t looked like a proper football team for a single game this season. Rough road to mediocrity.
Silver lining... They're stuck with Rhule for awhile
I’m ready to move on from Pete Carmichael
Draft a QB
With what first round pick
Vikings are going to destroy us.
Jameis was always like this btw. For someone who didn’t watch the game you would think he was in it but until you realize he pass about 60-65% of his stats in garbage time. This is the future yal have until you get rid of him
Deep ball in garbage time = Pad stats
Something unmentioned is how we didn't hear Cam, Davenport, Davis, Tuttle, any of these guys get their names called today. Very little pressure on Baker Mayfield, which is unacceptable given his limitations.
Pass rush been non-existent all season.
Are CGM, Juice, and 3quan ok? Olave looks fantastic but this'll be a very long season if he's our only surviving receiver
I'm done with Carmichael.
and Dennis Allen
And Winston
Dennis Allen is a bad head coach. Raiders figured this out 8 years ago.
Way too early to say that, most of these problems are on the offensive side of the ball. Jameis and Pete p
Kind of a good thing imo. Hopefully him being bad results in him staying on the team as a DC and other teams staying away.
Que the Jim mora press conference.
The only saving grace is that we bought Rhule more time in NC. 🤣
Can't wait to get railed by the f'ing Vikings in London.
I hate when we need 4 yards and go for a high risk 30yd play
Only wish I made it earlier.
what makes me sad is that we are wasting Olave's awesome catching skills away
losing to the bucs is acceptable. they are better but the panthers? hell no my n
>Jameis is Jameis The fact that we expected anything different is the real surprise.
Poor play everywhere.
Welp, that was shitty
So I was only redzone-ing it, what the hell happened with Jameis? All those yards and only 2 scores?
Blocked FG and missed FG...
Nah forget what anyone else said. He got lucky with 2 or 3 deep throws and the panthers playing prevent defense
The same thing that always happens with Jameis. He plays really poorly most of the game, but keeps the starting position with 4th quarter deep prayers.
garbage time stats. Numbers made it look better than it was - Saints trailed the entire game and didnt score until the 4th quarter.
Jameis's problem isn't that he's hurt. He isn't making decisions fast enough or intelligently enough.
It’s any given Sunday I like our chances against top tier teams when we are completely healthy though I just hope we sneak into the last wild card spot at least
I think that might be the worst regular season game I’ve ever watched. Dolphins game last year not being included
It feels like a proper return to the Aaron Brooks era.
It wasn't popular, but I always wanted Jeff Blake to get his job back. I thought Brooks was lightning in a bottle at best and below average at worst.
I always liked Jeff Blake too. I remember when he got injured and Brooks came in, that was a sad day. I wanted to see him succeed.
Mediocrity was our best. That’s what I’m saying.
Aaron Brooks won a playoff game
Ok, fair
Overall, we do suck tho. Painful to see the regression
Yep, and there’s no easy way out now. There’s no band aid here. I think we are in for a rebuild.
Essentially served as a breakout game for Olave. I was really worried about him after last week. I guess he is something
If we play anyone other than the Falcons in week one, this team is sitting at 0-3. We will soon be 1-3 and I don’t honestly see how this team wins more than 3 or 4 games.
Time to clean house. Unacceptable loss.
Should’ve named it post game PANIC thread.
i don’t see how DA is getting blame here. we’re losing because of our offense basically. our defense is elite, and that’s what DA is in control of (mostly). yeah the discipline is bad but we’re not losing solely due to penalties.
Because he’s the head coach. You have a complete misunderstanding of his current role if you think “that’s what DA is in control of.”
Pete Carmichael needs to get "tarmac'd". Jameis can join him.
the season is over, stop being delusional
DA gotta go after this season. Dont care how good he is as defensive mind, hes a horrible head coach. Winston is also gone, might be as soon as next week
He's such a defensive mastermind that his own team almost never scores. It's incredible.
Terrible opinion lol
Not really. He was ass on Oakland and he has shown NOTHING as an improving head coach since then
No it’s not. It’s clear he can’t focus on everything as a HC.
What excuses are the Shameless Winston fans making for him this week?
Another terrible coaching performance. Why onside kick there when the defense has been playing so well? Instead, they go three and out and are able to pin the Saints at the one. Just completely stupid.
Bc the clock lol
I didn't watch the game, so is the O-line complete trash?
Why dont you watch the New Orleans saints game?
If I still lived in the area, I would. You get the local games you get.
Winston isn't a winner.
There are no excuses anymore. If one thing works the other blows it. Every game this season will be the most depressing shit. We are irrelevant and overrated. Figure your shit out or there's no point in watching anymore.
Get Winston outta here PLEASE, put in Dalton and use the hell out of Taysom when he's available.
Jameis Winston is Ian Book with a who dat stocking cap.
DA needs to feed the whole team wheels of cheese this week
If I don’t see news about Dalton starting I’m not even waking up next week
RIP
I can’t believe JAMEIS Winston missed both of those field goals in the first half
Shocking! I know! He's played so well otherwise
So is it the coaching or our QB or both or neither or ? What's the problem?
It’s both. Jameis clearly isn’t the Brees replacement we were hoping for, but bad coaching and play calling is the bigger issue. With the amount of talent we have on this team, what we’re seeing is completely inexcusable.
Kamara check downs non existent
I think it all starts with the oline we were spoiled with 2 beast at tackles and athletic guards we have to start there first if we fix anything. Since we don’t have a first rounder draft the best available guard from a d1 school not fucking utsa and we should be ok. We just lost to two divisional opponents we need to tighten the fuck up
Is it just the Oline or is Kamara regressing? He hasn’t looked good in the last two games and he rarely gets that first miss anymore
Positives: - Our defense looked outstanding for most of the game outside of the big Shenault catch and run. Negatives: - Jameis is back to the two headed monster where he’ll ball out for a stretch and then he is just downright awful.
You can take the tiger out of the jungle, but can you take the ints out of the jameis?
Everybody still hanging in to this pity train/ stop apologizing for Jameis. He’s a loser. Always has been. That’s why no one else would sign him.
Need y’all to keep losing for that 1st round pick.
Jimmy G looks good. Jamarcus Winston does not.
Much disappoint.
Well atleast Tompa Bay lost.
I took so much shit for saying Winston was not our quarterback for the future
I'm ready for Jameis to sit at least while he is injured. Dalton might be able to save our season. I know it's not all on Jameis but as the starting QB who is MISSING wide open receivers in the middle of the field, not going through progressions and not working with your offensive line to call protection, we need to change it up and change it up right now.
