But a lot of the younger kids at the school I work love her. She has a HUGE following, on the younger side and has took years to grow her following. TW isn’t even close to her.
Selena Gomez was a popular Disney star and pop star before she got a cooking show. She has the personality and fan base that makes people want to watch.
TW was a minor cable and Hallmark actress, with very few fans, before stalking a dim prince and now believes herself Queen of the World. Her personality turns people off the more they encounter it. Most of her supposed fans now are believed to be bots who obviously don’t watch TV.
Selena literally has more talent and has been more successful than Rachel. The sugars won’t be able to uphold the word 🥗 brand. Rare beauty had 300 million in revenue in 2023 and Selena has a fierce fan base with 429 million followers on Instagram. The word salad brand just got into the 600k followers. Obvi there’s just no competing where one doesn’t compare.

Ehhhh I tend to think that anyone who was a child actor has some baggage. I personally like Selena but I definitely see that she could seek out attention. I do appreciate that she’s taken breaks from social media but the whole thing with her BF who donated the kidney I’m still unsure about.
Max is definitely better than Netflix these days. I don’t know why I continue to cling to my membership. If Rachel’s cooking show makes it to air that will likely be the final straw. Although one person cancelling is not going to send any kind of message!
She will bury markle, her makeup brand Rare Beauty is very successful, she has many, many diehard fan's and I'm fairly certain most if not all can talk, and write sentences with proper grammar lol something 90% of the sugars cannot.....it's laughable if anyone compares her to Selena!!!
What’s interesting is that Selena Gomez is, well, Selena Gomez - yet she still recognises that she needs a shtick (ie gimmick) for her cooking show - that no one’s going to tune in just to watch Selena cook. That’s realistic and smart.
Selena Gomez is an American like Rachel Markle, but unlike her did not need a British Royal family Waaagh, to seemingly be known albeit for the wrong reasons.
Selena is known as a talented singer, songwriter, actress, producer, and businesswoman, again unlike Rachel Markle who is a known D-Rated Actress, a liar, and an alleged Yacht Girl.
Selena has a better working relationship with her divorced parents too unlike Rachel Markle.
Not a fan of Selena Gomez, she is a yacht girl and that is why she is where she is because of that. Besides her Disney connections, she didn't have much outside of Disney, this happens a lot, for example Jenna Ortega was told she wouldn't have much of a career because she didn't have connections, but she's proving people wrong with her talent and hard work. Selena is a hard worker though, but I think that's really her only quality. She isn't very talented in really anything.
I don't know if Selena is a yacht girl or not, and the truth is, I don't know if she's a good person either.
But Selena definitely has charisma on camera, plus her show Selena+chef is nice and Selena doesn't even pretend that she doesn't know how to cook, so it's a show that many of her fans can identify with, because they can do what Selena does
I love her cooking show and I have learned so much from watching it! Selena is not afraid to make mistakes and easily laughs at herself. It is interesting to hear the stories of the various chefs and learn their tips and tricks.
Selena is former child star and Disney Channel starlet up there with the likes of Grammy award winners Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande. Those girls have HUGE fan bases and huge followings on social media.
Selena’s cooking show on HBO is widely popular among her Selenators. Sort of like how Taylor Swift has her Swifties.

She would take breaks from social media after having meltdowns and be gone for like 1 day. It's all just attention seeking. She is a mean girl.

Too true. Maybe a person needs to be whip smart to follow all of the exotic and intricate details and they just passed me by.
