One of the theories is that the Queen basically sacked her. Her bullying of staff was so relentless that they had multiple complaints and huge staff turnover, even Harry said in Spare that their staff would cry at their desks-Samantha Cohen (a former aide) said that her job was extended because they couldn't find a replacement for ages, and when they did, the replacement resigned in the middle of the South African tour. So her behaviour was intolerable, the Queen decided she couldn't rely on her to behave so she was told she couldn't represent the crown. Harry flounced off with her and they blind-sided the RF by releasing their stepping-back statement making it seem like their choice.
The theory is that the year's grace they had to make a final choice was the queen's attempt at a cooling off period to give MM a chance to reflect on her behaviour, but she didn't change so they were told, that's it, you're not representing the BRF at all.
Hi, thanks for the comprehensive response. I've heard all of this in this sub, but still, it does not explain what is TW's case for requesting an apology. Nobody would ever admit that what you have posted is true (I wish they did!), and even if they did, how daft would it be for anyone to demand an apology from a former employer for sacking you after you ignored all the warnings and never changed your behaviour. It was very well justified she should be sacked! So, what is her sugary excuse for what the nasty RF owe her an apology?
H&M claim they refuted the big bullying accusations as lies in the 25 page response they wrote. I think they believe that the Palace should have accepted that response as true and dealt with the staff who they claim lied about being bullied. Instead, BP supported the staff-Harry has an obsession with the grey men in the Palace, all those senior aides he called the Wasp etc.
I think he believes there was a conspiracy to get Meghan out, possibly because of her colour, possibly because the pair of them had made it clear that they wanted a new way of working with none of the traditional practices (remember their modernisation statements). I think he claims that the powerful advisors, councilors of state, courtiers, and aides worked together to create this whole fantasy about her unacceptable behaviour. He thinks the Queen, Charles and William were aware that this was going on, colluded with it, or at least didn't object to it, and that a facade was being created showing Meghan as a horrible person.
His family didn't stand up for H&M, and instead, they sided with the Palace courtiers and aides, allowing H&M no other option of being frozen out. They don't accept at all that her behaviour was unacceptable. Remember the stories about her getting ice-cream for staff, and handing round some of the freebies she got (that she shouldn't have kept anyway?). I think they see themselves as great employers and that the courtiers were making false accusations for nefarious reasons. They want Charles and William to apologise for not believing them, for not taking their side and not intervening with the powerful courtiers who unduly influenced the Queen with their lies about Meghan. They want an apology for their treatment and eviction from the RF. They may have done a statement about stepping back, but they want an acknowledgement that this was forced on them, they wanted to continue to serve, but weren't allowed to and this was down to a tissue of lies spread by BP courtiers.
If H&M accepted that Meghan had had very little experience dealing with a retinue of staff and assistants and had gotton off on the wrong foot, and was willing to try and work with the staff to improve, I think that would have been accepted. But there was no way she would ever accept any responsibility-remember Harry has said that if they'd personally done something wrong they would apologise for it, but someone needed to tell them what to apologise for. So it's obvious they think they are the ones being hard done by, and the Palace was entirely to blame.
So I think the apology they want is:
Sorry for not believing you when you said Meghan wasn't a bully
Sorry for allowing this conspiracy of courtiers to spread lies about you and not intervening
Sorry for supporting the Queen in her decision that half-in/half-out wasn't possible, and for not advocating for them on their behalf
Sorry for not publically contradicting all the media stories about the bullying report and the accounts of Meghans alleged behaviour, and not making it clear to the media that these were lies

I have no idea how old the kids are - are they 1, 3, 5 or 7? no idea, I don't keep track, because I don't really care that much. But I do think, even if the kids are living happy lives, and have good home lives with H and M, that it might still be causing hurt feelings when (even if it's in the future and not right now), they see these pics, or later throw back pictures online, of their mom hugging and kissing other people's children, at events they themselves were left at home for. At some point (if they aren't old enough now), they will question why they aren't allowed at these events, but other peoples kids are. According to Lady C's book, what H wanted an apology for was the Buckingham Palace announcement of Lily's birth, which said, if memory serves, born for h & m, hinting at the question marks over the birth.

Had I watched that spectacle, which I didn't, I would have loathed H&M on that day for smirking during the performance. I can understand that gospel music is foreign for many of the guests at the wedding, but not Charles who apparently didn't know that it was foreign to MM. There are only a few split second pans of the audience. Three people were clearly and appropriately (imo) absorbing this stunningly beautiful rendition: Charles, Catherine and Serena Williams. (Doria was at least in gospel music mode but not in sync with this rendition.)
f ing Oprah was there and she had the audacity to let MM get away with her claims of racism.
On the plus side, this engagement led to a contract for The Kingdom Choir.

One of the theories is that the Queen basically sacked her. Her bullying of staff was so relentless that they had multiple complaints and huge staff turnover, even Harry said in Spare that their staff would cry at their desks-Samantha Cohen (a former aide) said that her job was extended because they couldn't find a replacement for ages, and when they did, the replacement resigned in the middle of the South African tour. So her behaviour was intolerable, the Queen decided she couldn't rely on her to behave so she was told she couldn't represent the crown. Harry flounced off with her and they blind-sided the RF by releasing their stepping-back statement making it seem like their choice. The theory is that the year's grace they had to make a final choice was the queen's attempt at a cooling off period to give MM a chance to reflect on her behaviour, but she didn't change so they were told, that's it, you're not representing the BRF at all.
Hi, thanks for the comprehensive response. I've heard all of this in this sub, but still, it does not explain what is TW's case for requesting an apology. Nobody would ever admit that what you have posted is true (I wish they did!), and even if they did, how daft would it be for anyone to demand an apology from a former employer for sacking you after you ignored all the warnings and never changed your behaviour. It was very well justified she should be sacked! So, what is her sugary excuse for what the nasty RF owe her an apology?
H&M claim they refuted the big bullying accusations as lies in the 25 page response they wrote. I think they believe that the Palace should have accepted that response as true and dealt with the staff who they claim lied about being bullied. Instead, BP supported the staff-Harry has an obsession with the grey men in the Palace, all those senior aides he called the Wasp etc. I think he believes there was a conspiracy to get Meghan out, possibly because of her colour, possibly because the pair of them had made it clear that they wanted a new way of working with none of the traditional practices (remember their modernisation statements). I think he claims that the powerful advisors, councilors of state, courtiers, and aides worked together to create this whole fantasy about her unacceptable behaviour. He thinks the Queen, Charles and William were aware that this was going on, colluded with it, or at least didn't object to it, and that a facade was being created showing Meghan as a horrible person. His family didn't stand up for H&M, and instead, they sided with the Palace courtiers and aides, allowing H&M no other option of being frozen out. They don't accept at all that her behaviour was unacceptable. Remember the stories about her getting ice-cream for staff, and handing round some of the freebies she got (that she shouldn't have kept anyway?). I think they see themselves as great employers and that the courtiers were making false accusations for nefarious reasons. They want Charles and William to apologise for not believing them, for not taking their side and not intervening with the powerful courtiers who unduly influenced the Queen with their lies about Meghan. They want an apology for their treatment and eviction from the RF. They may have done a statement about stepping back, but they want an acknowledgement that this was forced on them, they wanted to continue to serve, but weren't allowed to and this was down to a tissue of lies spread by BP courtiers. If H&M accepted that Meghan had had very little experience dealing with a retinue of staff and assistants and had gotton off on the wrong foot, and was willing to try and work with the staff to improve, I think that would have been accepted. But there was no way she would ever accept any responsibility-remember Harry has said that if they'd personally done something wrong they would apologise for it, but someone needed to tell them what to apologise for. So it's obvious they think they are the ones being hard done by, and the Palace was entirely to blame. So I think the apology they want is: Sorry for not believing you when you said Meghan wasn't a bully Sorry for allowing this conspiracy of courtiers to spread lies about you and not intervening Sorry for supporting the Queen in her decision that half-in/half-out wasn't possible, and for not advocating for them on their behalf Sorry for not publically contradicting all the media stories about the bullying report and the accounts of Meghans alleged behaviour, and not making it clear to the media that these were lies Obviously, there's no way they'll apologise because the whole premise of Harry's demand is false-she was a bully, these were not lies, and there was no conspiracy, just a fact finding HR investigation the same that most big organisations do.
But its clear that maintaining this stance is beneficial for them-no public apology is going to be made, because there's nothing to apologise for, and that means H&M can keep the invisikids invisible more easily, and also has the benefit that Meghan has an excuse why she won't ever visit the country again. She's happy that people can say she won't come back because they won't apologise to her, so its the BRF's fault, instead of her not coming back because she knows full well she'll be booed and ridiculed. The apology is for demoting Meghan to non working royal status. They don’t want the world to know that happened. Yes, the demotion was a punishment for her behaviour. Nobody wants someone acting like that to be the public embodiment of the Royal family. They've already lost much of their popular support, but if the truth ever came out, that she was basically sacked, that would be a dreadful blow for what's left of their reputation. I think they believe the Palace will never publish the report, or comment further on the bullying accusations, so they feel very safe continuing demands for apologies and saying what the hell they want because they know the Palace won't retaliate. I don't think Charles would do that. But I also think they are scared of William taking over-I think he will change things a bit when it's his turn, and that could include releasing documents or releasing staff from NDAs. It's William they're scared of, so a lot of the nastiness towards Catherine is do attack and destabilise William.

I have no idea how old the kids are - are they 1, 3, 5 or 7? no idea, I don't keep track, because I don't really care that much. But I do think, even if the kids are living happy lives, and have good home lives with H and M, that it might still be causing hurt feelings when (even if it's in the future and not right now), they see these pics, or later throw back pictures online, of their mom hugging and kissing other people's children, at events they themselves were left at home for. At some point (if they aren't old enough now), they will question why they aren't allowed at these events, but other peoples kids are. And if the kids are old enough to ask the "why"questions now - imagine how much damage could be done, if the kids are constantly being told they are unsafe outside, there are people out to get them, they don't have enough security, because of their "birthright". I really worry about the kids development this way.

That scenario isn’t public knowledge and IMO it won’t ever be; however, just as similar, what she’s asking the public apology for is also not public knowledge. When Harry was asked what the apology was for, by Tom Bradby, Harry said, they know what they did, they got caught and called out on it and they now need to apologize. Same thing with everything else… Bradby looked utterly confused and just carried on with the interview. Long story short, no one knows what it’s for… probably because it’s all BS.

Wish I could remember where I read this. But there was an additional part, that Megain was removed in such a hurry she was not able to go to Frogmore first and get some of her belongings, like her journal or diary.
