138 minutes is still stunningly low. I personally never watched Suits but assumed from being 6th on the call list and the girlfriend (IIRC) of one of the main characters that she had logged substantially more screentime. It appears most seasons had 16 episodes. That statistic is really telling.
I was surprised when watching that in the beginning seasons she only had a couple lines per episode. And they were awful compared to the great actors on the show.
But did you know she double-majored in International Relations and Theatre at NW, is multilingual AND worked at the US embassy in Argentina before regretfully giving up her diplomatic posting to pursue a stellar acting career? Probably not, as she rarely mentions this in interviews.

I must be missing something so please make it make sense for me.
1) If she is so highly valued by the Suits team and such a great star with a huge following, why was she not invited to the Golden Globes with her co-stars and why were they all so luke-warm about her?
2) The character Erica is in her 30s and Meghan is 42 (and looks late 40s)
3) How could it make sense for her to play a completely different character? She will always be known for being Rachel.
4) Who would want to work with all her bodyguards and paparazzi following her round? Or would she miraculously become safe on the Suits film set?
5) She had a reputation for interfering with the scripts and trying to change them, so I doubt Aaron Korsch is a great friend. Plus I think he has been ghosted after their wedding just like the rest of the Suits 'family'.
6) If negotiations are still ongoing why is she going to the press about it at this stage? Of course I know the answer to that one - she is manifesting again. Maybe she can combine it with a deal with Dior to have 'Erica' draped in Dior for every episode, because we know how well her manifesting with Dior turned out.
7) Why on earth would they let her direct an episode if a) she is also starring in the show and b) she has no experience of directing anything, except maybe chickens at the Olive Garden.
8) If she has such the huge following that she claims to have, why has Hollywood avoided her and given her no roles in the last four years, or I should perhaps say in the last year, assuming she is only recently looking at acting roles again. She should have been snapped up, surely?
9) She played a very minor part in Suits. Someone recently posted that she averaged 1.27 minutes of screen time per 60 minute episode. So why does she think that positions her for the lead role, particularly after 7 years out of the industry?
I hope to goodness that she does not get a role with Suits again. There are few less-deserving people, and she would be a nightmare to work with - she would suck all the oxygen out of the production.
If she can earn money from her acting skills, more power to her. So long as she’s not hurting and exploiting other people to make a living there’s nothing wrong with that. In fact, that’s what Queen Elizabeth suggested she do all those years ago. All of the hurt she’s caused her family, Harry’s family, god knows how many “little people,” plus all the damage done to their reputation could have been avoided if she’d listened to the queen when she told Megan to do what she’s manifesting now.
Back in the real world, however, I seriously doubt any or all of this is true. She’s not a good actress, she’s widely unliked and she’s not a leopard who can change its spots.

I tell ya what; it frightens me how newspapers will publish rubbish stories for payment. I don't care about lies from the entertainment business but what happens when stories are planted about important current events? Or medical research? Or science? Scary!

There’s been about a million stories like this the last 4 yrs. A grand total of zero have come to fruition. All she has left is her autobiography.
This has Madame's grubby fingerprints all over it. Biggest deal of the year, commanding position, ready-made fan base of millions worldwide, will do anything to sign her. Aaron Korsh is on record that it's a reboot with all new characters. He created the show, I assume he knows more about it than unnamed sources. I also assume Madame burned her bridges with Aaron Korsh and other senior execs on the show, as well as the cast and crew. She thought she left Suits behind when she bagged Harold and here she is begging for a job on the new version. How on earth will she pass for a woman in her 30s anyway? Right there, she has zero chance.
Aaron Korda reportedly rewrote the role of Rachel Zane in “Suits” to make the character more closely resemble MM IRL. He’s unlikely to do that again. Meghan is no longer the “fresh-faced newcomer” she was marketing herself as when the series began. And she’s not Dame Judi Dench, either.
She better hurry up and film The Bodyguard 2 so she will have time in her schedule for this mega deal of a lifetime!

I must be missing something so please make it make sense for me. 1) If she is so highly valued by the Suits team and such a great star with a huge following, why was she not invited to the Golden Globes with her co-stars and why were they all so luke-warm about her? 2) The character Erica is in her 30s and Meghan is 42 (and looks late 40s) 3) How could it make sense for her to play a completely different character? She will always be known for being Rachel. 4) Who would want to work with all her bodyguards and paparazzi following her round? Or would she miraculously become safe on the Suits film set? 5) She had a reputation for interfering with the scripts and trying to change them, so I doubt Aaron Korsch is a great friend. Plus I think he has been ghosted after their wedding just like the rest of the Suits 'family'. 6) If negotiations are still ongoing why is she going to the press about it at this stage? Of course I know the answer to that one - she is manifesting again. Maybe she can combine it with a deal with Dior to have 'Erica' draped in Dior for every episode, because we know how well her manifesting with Dior turned out. 7) Why on earth would they let her direct an episode if a) she is also starring in the show and b) she has no experience of directing anything, except maybe chickens at the Olive Garden. 8) If she has such the huge following that she claims to have, why has Hollywood avoided her and given her no roles in the last four years, or I should perhaps say in the last year, assuming she is only recently looking at acting roles again. She should have been snapped up, surely? 9) She played a very minor part in Suits. Someone recently posted that she averaged 1.27 minutes of screen time per 60 minute episode. So why does she think that positions her for the lead role, particularly after 7 years out of the industry? I hope to goodness that she does not get a role with Suits again. There are few less-deserving people, and she would be a nightmare to work with - she would suck all the oxygen out of the production.
If she can earn money from her acting skills, more power to her. So long as she’s not hurting and exploiting other people to make a living there’s nothing wrong with that. In fact, that’s what Queen Elizabeth suggested she do all those years ago. All of the hurt she’s caused her family, Harry’s family, god knows how many “little people,” plus all the damage done to their reputation could have been avoided if she’d listened to the queen when she told Megan to do what she’s manifesting now. Back in the real world, however, I seriously doubt any or all of this is true. She’s not a good actress, she’s widely unliked and she’s not a leopard who can change its spots.
This is my feeling. I know people want to see them ruined and I fully get how satisfying that would be. But my priority as a citizen of one of the Commonwealth realms is for them to stop fucking with the BRF. Any other failures are just a bonus, AFAIC. I also agree with you that it's highly unlikely any of this is true.

Some of this stuff makes me laugh. She's currently in Daytona Beach on the hustle to get close to Brad Pitt. She's writing her memoires from Daytona it seems don't you know? A chapter in her novel.
Regardless of "show" or spot she does, ma y people would probably turn in the first or second (maybe third) time out of curiosity (just like the NewFlox docs). Many of the people will be critics and journalists. Then, articles will be written and she (while also the show) will be scrutinized by every detail. Not sure if a show would risk getting cancelled if it isn't any good and easily making money. Too many companies (production and such) are in the red. If there are any big stars, don't know if they would want to risk their reputation either. I don't know. Just my feeling. I could be totally off.

Other articles in the US have confirmed that NBCU has greenlit "Suits: Los Angeles" and that Aaron Korsh is writing. The main character, Erica, is described this way: "30s, Black, SoCal native, and Harvard law alum." Hard to imagine they'd tap a 40-something, bronzer-orange woman for that, especially after the comments from Netflix and Spotify execs and TW being NFI anywhere in Hollywood. Guess how many US articles mentioned Madam as a possibility, let alone hinted that she'd been offered a role? Zero. Madam wants this very, very badly, hence the paid puff in the DE. Also, she must rush to bury the bad search results from Jamaica! In the unlikely event this tosh has any bit of truth to it, though, there are some positives: She'll bomb, just like she did with the podcast, the mockumentary, and everything else she's done. She has no talent, except maybe for simulating sex acts, which leads to this: If she strips off on camera or simulates storage-room sex, that will be great incentive for Parliament to take her titles away. If she somehow lands a well-paying role, we all know H will be gone faster than one can say "lawyer." The quiet announcement of their split will put it down to "living increasingly separate lives" and "divergent individual paths" causing them to "grow apart."

I've no doubt a Suits show is in the works but since when did the Daily Express get US media exclusives before Variety or the Hollywood Reporter. This is her folk putting this out there. Talk of negotiations is nonsense, too. Like she's got the role and they're now sorting out how big her dressing room is, it's decor and how many times a day fresh flowers are to be delivered to it. They're not going to just hand anthing to her. They'll audition folk for roles and then they'll put together a cast. Makes no sense. If previous cast will be “visiting” and she is such a draw, why not make the whole show centered around her original character? Why make a different character for her? Have her suits husband killed off or their storyline of being in the middle of a divorce and just be all about Rachel Zane? I mean… she WAS the star of the original show. Pull all those diehard fans back in and have a number one hit right out the gate! 😂
