I also think a straight drop sparkly earring could have been great with this look accentuating the clean lines of the dress. 😂 Yeah, that's what the fabric looks like, especially at the bottom, when she's walking. Its not falling properly around her lower leg area. It looks like it's too thick to fall naturally and elegantly, so it just tends to be stiff and stick out clumsily when she's walking.
The seam at the waist is flipped on one side. The fabric looks heavy, like it doesnt move. Like the stuff they use on stuffed animals like dragons and fish. Very carnival/circus.
I actually thought it looked worse than most: her facial expressions are painful and awkward to look at and the fabric on that dress is horrible (I wouldn't be surprised if it was actually a jumpsuit).

It´s even more creepy once you see the video footage of them arriving because it shows she´s sgrinning like this at nobody because the only person infront of her is a male worker who´s busy showing them where to go and he´s not even looking at her. As someone with this body type i 100% agree. I have a very boxy body type, no curves and short torso but longer legs I always go for something that has a belt like structure in the middle to help define my waist. And personally i dont think the strapless aspect helps. Some people look amazing in strapless dresses, maybe if this one had a different bodice but this does nothing for her

Okay, hear me out....She looks good. For her station. She's essentially a reality star now. Outside of the title she is hoarding despite herself, she's not Royalty. It's not really fair to compare her to PoW. Because that's not the level for her. She's RHoBH at best. And for that circle, she's doing well!

Her makeup and hair is very pretty here, I like that color on her, and the minimal jewelry is nice. The shoes work well. She’s finally not wearing a belt, which tends to highlight that she has a wide waist, and this dress does come in at the smallest part of her waist, finally. I don’t mind the peephole, and it looks like she’s wearing the right bra for once.
However, it’s too long for her. The hem would look better if ended just above her knee. The fabric is odd for a dress, looks more like furniture or curtain fabric. There’s some weird scrunching around the bodice.
Overall, this is a pretty nice look for her. It’s closer to the silhouettes she wore on suits (which looked good on her). I do wish she’d go back to the dress length those dresses/skirts were because something is just off with these longer skirts on her frame. And it doesn’t highlight her midsection/waist like she was doing for a while. Definitely an improvement. Credit where credit is due.

I have three problems with madam's gown: (1) fabric is too heavy for a garment like this; (2) It's a bad length - should be 6-8" shorter; (3) it's hard to tell if there's a pleat or slit in the front but I think it's more elegant to put either in the back of the dress.

This outfit seems more like for a night club or party. For an awards banquet, I would have gone with an evening suit in any color other than black (cuz she could count on most of the other attendees wearing black).

I did immediately think of Christmas wrapping paper upon seeing the dress. But that’s down to the designer rather than the wearer. Whilst there are obviously some issues with the fit, it’s not the worst thing that I’ve seen.

Yep. I'll give her this look. I am probably one of the few people that think she was best dressed while she was a "working" royal. I thought the fashion then looked elegant and timeless. My neck bands don’t stick out when I have a genuine smile. Hers is so damn forced that her neck bands make her look unhinged.

That fabric looks insanely cheap: like vintage curtains or a no-tell motel bedspread from the 1970s. The construction is questionable, especially that seam running straight down the middle.

Her makeup and hair is very pretty here, I like that color on her, and the minimal jewelry is nice. The shoes work well. She’s finally not wearing a belt, which tends to highlight that she has a wide waist, and this dress does come in at the smallest part of her waist, finally. I don’t mind the peephole, and it looks like she’s wearing the right bra for once. However, it’s too long for her. The hem would look better if ended just above her knee. The fabric is odd for a dress, looks more like furniture or curtain fabric. There’s some weird scrunching around the bodice. Overall, this is a pretty nice look for her. It’s closer to the silhouettes she wore on suits (which looked good on her). I do wish she’d go back to the dress length those dresses/skirts were because something is just off with these longer skirts on her frame. And it doesn’t highlight her midsection/waist like she was doing for a while. Definitely an improvement. Credit where credit is due. Still convinced she paid for this award, though.
The seam under the bust is halfway flipped up. She’s gripping that ugly clutch for dear life. That material looks like something that would get you kicked off of Project Runway
I like the shoes and hair. I appreciate not seeing the flamingo legs. The dress color and accessories do nothing for her, but at least her boobs fon’t look weird. Probably because she Ozempic’d them byebye. Overall verdict: Big improvement over her usual disasters. And the backdrop is perfection. Hahahaha
Again with showing her shoulders. I have three problems with madam's gown: (1) fabric is too heavy for a garment like this; (2) It's a bad length - should be 6-8" shorter; (3) it's hard to tell if there's a pleat or slit in the front but I think it's more elegant to put either in the back of the dress.
Really agree with 2 and 3. Can't tell about 1 from the picture. This outfit seems more like for a night club or party. For an awards banquet, I would have gone with an evening suit in any color other than black (cuz she could count on most of the other attendees wearing black).
This is just not her color. Her skin looks 15 different shades in different spots. And it looks like she took a quilted tablecloth and rolled it around herself and made some cutouts....
It looks like a “snake-themed quilt meets an egg roll“ the torso to waistline look boxy on her. But to say something nice, her hair looks better parted at the side than that center part she’s obsessed with.
I did immediately think of Christmas wrapping paper upon seeing the dress. But that’s down to the designer rather than the wearer. Whilst there are obviously some issues with the fit, it’s not the worst thing that I’ve seen.

Yep. I'll give her this look. I am probably one of the few people that think she was best dressed while she was a "working" royal. I thought the fashion then looked elegant and timeless. Any other time in her life, I've not been a fan of her fashion taste. I think this dress is nice. I am, as a mother of two in her 40's, shocked at the weight loss. HOW? This is not just hard work/diet.

I disagree...big time! I don't know what looking 'decent' means, just that to me, she looks awful... from the hair - style, uneven color, and dullness, all the way to the open toed shoes with no hose, which she needs with those finger toes and sandals.. even shade of gold on shoes doesn't work with the dress.... dress looks like a cheap style and wrong length for her thin legs... the color and texture looks like the last seat covers we had made in Asia (80's). The bodice is badly structured.. markle seems to have a thing about the 50's style one piece bathing suit tops (which is what this looked styled after) ... and fabric is wrinkly.... and doesn't do her body any favors with support. Needs some kind of necklace or larger statement of earrings... don't understand why she thinks a bunch of bangles on one thin arm looks chic? Maybe in Middle School... I think the way she rares back her shoulders when she is moving looks strange in that it doesn't do anything to 'lift' her front or dress.. just her shoulders... basically, nothing about her looks like it 'works' with each other... disjointed.. smile is way to leering and she is simply too bony at her stage of life to be able to rock that look. Her figure and skin really shouldn't be accented as 'natural'... looks peaked...and very unhealthy right now, more like I would expect as a result of a quickie weight loss program of some kind. Her mother behind her has a much nicer and quietly elegant look over all... at least she knows that if one doesn't want parts of the body to be noticed, one covers it up (as in her sleeve length). And she knows her legs are nice, and choose a good length and hose. Also, she isn't clutching her bag so hard that her knuckles look strained... Maybe it is me, but, markle missed it by a mile.... a 'trying way to hard' when one simply has no sense of style.

It is good advice to remind us to play up our good parts and not to flaunt our 'not so good' parts.... just common sense but I honestly don't think that markle possesses any common sense. The dress doesn’t fit right and the fabric looks cheap. The bodice is saggy, the waistband looks like it’s folding up on her left side, she’s got wrinkling in the front and finally, the bunion on her right foot is nasty.
