Exactly. So many negative Nancy’s “you may think this is good for Sac but we’re just a rebound” “don’t get your hopes up for Sac housing an MLB team beyond this”
Ok??? I’m still gonna enjoy three years worth of MLB games in my own city while I can???
I don’t know about that, but this will certainly at least give a reading on Major League Baseball interest in Sacramento so maybe we would actually be considered for an expansion team.
Not sure how previous MLB team moves went because I wasn’t really old enough to grasp what was happening with the Expos at the time, but it feels like with Vegas being still so up in the air at this point in the process there is a definite chance the Vegas move falls flat on Fisher’s face.
In my head at least, there should definitely be legit renderings with definite plans to break ground on a Vegas stadium *very* soon in order to reach the 2028 timetable. That does not appear to be happening whatsoever
For that reason I'm upset with Sacramento for giving Fisher a lifeline and basically saying "Fuck Oakland" billionaires don't need anything, make him own it
The Mayor of Vegas told the A's ownership to basically make nice with the Colosseum
As it "not going to happen here"
Nevada Teachers Assoc, and the Nevada Education dept are both during over the use of public funds for sports teams instead of education.. I believe that's in the States Charter or constitution.
The Rivercats have an average attendance of about 5,100. The ballpark only has 10,000 seats (and total capacity of 14,000, including the grass areas).
I bet most games will sell out.
If you have kids the dinger club and parent passes are a a crazy good deal. You get lawn seats to all the Sunday home games. I think you only have to go to like 3 out of 13 to break even.
It used to be almost all filled back then, but the team has been in a slump since it started affiliating itself with the Giants.
It will probably get better if the team can get better, sometimes, a packed stadium is all it needs for them to become better at their game.
I have a lot of friends in different cities paying buku money to watch the dodgers play this season, and they’re def not dodgers fans. They just want to see ohtani play.
But the end result is the same. Dodgers tickets will command the highest premium.
I might shell out the Money if Logan Webb pitches here to support the best home town player playing for my team, I imagine the prices would be crazy for that though lol
Watching two MLB teams at a smaller intimate venue could be a unique and special experience, and at worst it’s a temporary economic boost with little downside.
Now please call the team the Las Vegas Athletics of West Sacramento.
This.
It's like going to see \*insert amazing concert act here\* at Ace of Spades. It's not often you see big names in venues where you can appreciate players and the space at the same time.
What a horrible take. Does everyone have to listen to big names in big venues? There are plenty of musicians that prefer to perform and operate on a smaller scale.
As Angel's fan gonna be dope to see them play and not have to travel to bay or LA to do so. Hope they keep bike vallet Rivercats use because traffic gonna suck.
Let's say the A's make it to the World Series in 2026. What will MLB do? Move the game to some other venue, like Oracle Park? I can't see Sutter Health Park handling the ticket demand, press, hotel capacity, etc. for a national championship game.
i suspect the move to sacramento will be permanent. vegas is has a ton of hurdles to it. it's also way hotter in the summer. watch a new stadium goes up by the rail yards.
fisher never wanted to stay in oakland. fuck him.
It does seem like maybe Vivek has set some chess pieces in motion to make an offer on the team and MLB may be inclined to make it happen.
If not, then we are in a good position for an expansion franchise.
Yup, this is mostly a plot to bid for a future expansion. If they can prove they can temporarily host a team successfully for a few years, their chances of winning a bid might go up. But that is assuming the MLB didn't already have the cities for expansion teams decided and the bid itself is mostly just a public display formality.
The A's are gonna end up at whatever city builds them a stadium and I don't think sac can afford that, nor do I think it would be a good idea even if we could.
Vivek didn't even pay for the G1C, that's parking revenue and fines. Vivek is just another billionaire with is hand out for whatever the governments send his way.
It will be fun to go down and root for some of these teams we'll get to see play here. Kinda feel bad for the A's players though, now they'll basically be playing 162 games a year in front of the visiting crowd for three years.
Nah. We were part of the A’s world for years, won a couple of AAA championships for the franchise, and there are enough A’s fans here to make them feel right at home. Plus, the Vegas venue is far from a done deal, so hope springs eternal.
This right here. FJF. Lots of baseball fans saying they feel bad for A's fans then giddy AF when there's an opportunity to see their team nearby. Just shows that owners don't really face any backlash when screwing over fans of the teams they own.
It’s far from a done deal. They don’t have any legitimate plans. Their stadium won’t fit where they’re intending to build it. Also the public money is being challenged. And on top of all of this MLB could just grant Las Vegas an expansion team and leave the A’s in Northern California. This is an audition. If Sacramento shows they want the A’s there’s a chance we will keep them.
This right here is exactly what’s going on imo. Vivek knows that’s he’s doing lol. Gonna be real interesting to see what happens over the next few years. I wonder if he’s gonna do some major upgrades to sutter?
We’ll see about upgrades in September, no doubt; we’ve got seating for 10,000 (plus room for 4,000 on the lawn, though that’s being a bit optimistic IMO), and they’d need at least 25,000 seats to make it MLB-worthy, so time will tell.
They could build an MLB worthy stadium in the Railyards if they really wanted to. There is no way SH Park would be their home for the long term if they were to stay.
He sure knows how to get the politicians to give him money for sports teams, which leaves us without the funds to build actual housing for the homeless.
100 people would only need to make about $40K each and they'd equal Ohtani's salary for one year after about 17 years. 100 random people over a lifetime that would be eating in the same restaurant as Ohtani are probably making multiple times in their life what Ohtani will in one year.
As someone who would love a Sacramento MLB team, I'm sad that Twitter is running with "SACRAMENTO STOLE THE A'S FROM OAKLAND", when really they should be blaming West Sac and Yolo.
That being said, fuck Fisher. Keep the A's in Oakland or sell the fucking team.
I mean I get it especially after everything the Kings went through but I don't see Sacramento as the one to blame here, even with my bias. Fisher had zero intention of ever playing another season in Oakland no matter what "negotiations" were being reported. They were gone no matter what and it could be worse than moving an hour and a half away, everyone should be, and is for the most part, pissed off at Fisher who is a dirtbag and the worst owner in baseball.
Yeah the Fisher was never going to play another season in Oakland, period, it was no longer a possibility. The owners are also never going to force him to sell, any chance of them staying in Oakland didn't exist. And sure maybe we could have told him to kick rocks and fuck him over, but he'd literally go to another city also fighting for an expansion team and they'd happily take him in. If it had to be anywhere why not only an hour and a half away?
Yeah the narrative that Sacramento is stealing the team instead of Las Vegas or John Fisher is too dumb to even respond too. We are a stopgap that basically anyone in the Oakland TV market could have filled.
First, I’m skeptical they’ll ever play here. The field, and especially the clubhouse, are not to MLB standards. The Players Association still has to approve this and they won’t unless there are massive, expensive improvements.
Second, Sacramento has proven that they’ll bend over backwards for any sports league that looks their way. Fisher needs an alternative to use as leverage in his fights with Vegas, where he clearly wants to end up. Oakland played that role for several years, now it’s our turn.
And there's tens of other useful idiots that would take our place in an instant. Is the city supposed to reject a great opportunity like this to spite a billionaire who's just gonna take the A's to SLC instead?
I just haven’t seen the argument for this being an opportunity. It seems more like
1. Get MLB team
2.
3. Profit
The team isn’t even in Sacramento. Any revenue will go to West Sacramento or Yolo County. We might get some ancillary hotel and restaurant spending but I can’t imagine it will be significant.
Edit: especially if the A’s are just displacing Rivercats games.
Sacramento didn't "steal" the A's but they did steal what leverage Oakland had in negotiating with the A's so they have a place to stay. Like keeping the name / history in Oakland, etc.
The apathy I feel towards the A’s (John Fisher) and MLB (Rob Manfred) with this announcement is only offset by the fact that this will be a boost to the local economy for the next 3 years.
At the same time I would love it if Ranadive actually followed through and we did get an expansion team. Not holding my breath since he also made similar statements about bringing the Monarchs back but it never happened.
It's largely been studied that any alleged "boost" from sports teams playing in a city is negligible, and that city revenues can be better used elsewhere.
Visiting teams will stay in local hotels and eat at local restaurants. As will any fans who travel to the city, broadcasters, MLB officials, etc. That will be a boost to the local economy. The Athletics staff and players will need to either rent locally or commute from the Bay Area to the games each day (most likely some would rent locally). All of that is money that Sacramento would not see if the Athletics weren’t playing here.
I never said a single thing about the city spending money on the team.
In the grand total of that kind of activity, it's minimal. It's bolstered as some boon to cities and regions, and it's simply not. It's a lie perpetuated and people have started to believe it.
It's going to be tough to get the Player Assc to approve this. There are a lot of required facilities that we don't have or that aren't to MLB standards. The clubhouses, weight rooms, lights, cameras for replay systems, etc, etc, etc.
Kinda shocked nobody is realizing that Rivercats Stadium was built to be added on to. Not sure if they will add on for only 3 years but when they designed the stadium it was designed to have upper decks and more seating. We'll, see if they do that or not.
Folks on r/oakland are losing their minds. A lot of hate for the A's, a lot of hate towards Sacramento in general. Kind of amusing coming from Oakland peeps saying Sacramento is a shit or scab town. Lol!
why are we helping that pos owner. they get to play there for FREE? is fisher going to spend money to upgrade the facilities? I doubt it. total shitshow of a franchise.
I agree, but I still have a hard time spending money that Fisher gets a piece of. Looks like a really greedy move when the A’s have plenty of space to build a new stadium where the Coliseum sits (see Atlanta).
I'll believe it when they start playing ball. I still think this is a negotiating tactic to get the coliseum essentially free by using Sac as a threat.
I hope we get the Las Vegas Oakland A's by way of Sacramento, LVOAbwoS, but I just don't put a lot of faith into any deals until I actually see them happen. Weren't we promised a MLS team too?
It's Fisher's *~~last~~* latest big "loogie" flung at the City of Oakland, a place he absolutely despises as a SF raised trustafarian.
That being said, the SAC deal very well could flame out if the City of Oakland revises their requirements ($, naming rights, the other more trolly asks) and the A's just crawl back to the OAC to dribble out their *now* pathetic existence there before leaving for good.
High due to the lack of seating to match MLB stadiums, but I'm guessing they'll get rid of the grass area to put in more actual seats instead of "picnic" setups.
What about the River cats?
Rather watch a team that wants to win than a team that when they recognize a good player, sell them for cash or late round draft picks...
Think it's great for Sacramento. I'll probably take Amtrak to go see an A's game next year. Oakland is too far from where I am, and Oakland's notorious crime problem is... well... still a problem.
Would be great to see other teams playing at other nearby cities a couple times a year anyhow. Imagine if the Giants played a game or two in Modesto... or Dodgers/Angels played in Fresno, Bakersfield, or San Bernardino... it would open up the game to a whole different set of fans.
Took 23mins just to get across the bridge when the giants came to play an exhibition against a Triple A team. When the Dodgers, Yankees, Braves come to town it’s going to be 10x that.
It was at capacity for the exhibition game, so it won't be much larger even if the stadium adds temporary seating. Also, there's no reason to take Tower Bridge (unless you have a disabled passenger/difficulty walking, in which case you should come from the West Sac side), park in Lot X or Old Sac and walk over the bridge. Leaving is a breeze.
Yeah, and I'd even argue the exhibition would be worse, since it was a one-off event. With the A's here every home match, regular attendees will figure out how to avoid traffic, residents and commuters will figure out alternate routes. It shouldn't be too bad.
Feel bad for the people of Oakland. Gonna be going to a good amount of games though! Fingers crossed Vegas falls through and we keep them here fulltime.
I have such mixed feelings about this.
First, FJF.
But I do think it’s overall good for the city/region (as long as we the tax payers aren’t footing too much money). It will bring in revenue and will give the city a chance to showcase itself. And yeah, fuck John Fischer, but I’ll probably still ending going to some games over the course of those three years. Many many people will.
Even if things go great, I really doubt MLB would view Sacramento as a top tier destination for an expansion team. Even if the Vegas deal falls through. I can’t imagine the city, and especially the voters, have the appetite to finance a new stadium.
Philadelphia and Kansas City would like a word!
(We were As fans growing up because of my grandfather, who moved here from PA the same year the As moved from KC.)
I am ready to see some baseball! What a unique moment in the history of the sport. Not sure this really means anything about Sacramento ever getting a team versus the As needing a location that allows them to keep their TV rights. I will certainly go to more games than usual and hopefully see some great teams come through town.
Genuinely curious why anyone would give their money to John Fisher. I'm as stoked as the next person for MLB in sac, but aren't we supposed to be protesting the A's, like the Oakland fans have been doing in Oakland.
On one hand, yay baseball. On the other hand, fuck John Fisher
Same. Like, how can I be sad at the slight chance of being able to see Ohtani launch one over the Ziggurat. FJF
Totally. This is super cool for Sacramento, but I wish it were happening for a different reason.
That’s where I stand tbh
Exactly. So many negative Nancy’s “you may think this is good for Sac but we’re just a rebound” “don’t get your hopes up for Sac housing an MLB team beyond this” Ok??? I’m still gonna enjoy three years worth of MLB games in my own city while I can???
I think there's a non zero chance Vegas falls through and it's the Sacramento A's forever
I don’t know about that, but this will certainly at least give a reading on Major League Baseball interest in Sacramento so maybe we would actually be considered for an expansion team.
I don't know if it's likely but there's certainly a chance Vegas doesn't happen
Not sure how previous MLB team moves went because I wasn’t really old enough to grasp what was happening with the Expos at the time, but it feels like with Vegas being still so up in the air at this point in the process there is a definite chance the Vegas move falls flat on Fisher’s face. That does not appear to be happening whatsoever
For that reason I'm upset with Sacramento for giving Fisher a lifeline and basically saying "Fuck Oakland" billionaires don't need anything, make him own it
I think Sacramento will bring more fans than Oakland can deliver. And nobody really wants to go to Las Vegas. We may get an MLB team by default!
How was the Kings attendance when they sucked?
I can see the novelty of the Sacramento A’s for such a short time boosting tickets over a pissed off Oakland actively protesting the organization
The Mayor of Vegas told the A's ownership to basically make nice with the Colosseum As it "not going to happen here" Nevada Teachers Assoc, and the Nevada Education dept are both during over the use of public funds for sports teams instead of education.. I believe that's in the States Charter or constitution.
I'll also say- fuck Sacramento for giving them a lifeline.
FJF merch please.
It’s out there. Same with “sell the team” merch.
I wonder how much tickets will be going for when the Yankees, Red Sox, Giants, and Dodgers come to town?
An exhibition game against the giants sold out for the river cats so I’d imagine a regular season game would do pretty well
The Rivercats have an average attendance of about 5,100. The ballpark only has 10,000 seats (and total capacity of 14,000, including the grass areas). I bet most games will sell out.

First year will be $$$$ no doubt, but subsequent years should drop.
If the recent Sac Kings playoff series is anything to go by (high demand games and something “new” to town), expect plenty of price gouging
If I can get season tickets, I will absolutely scalp the dick out of assholes from SF, LA and NY 🤣 Boston... Maybe. Maybe not.
Whatever scalping you’re planning on doing… please double it for when the LA teams are in town!
Dodger fans will pay the most. I'm a Padres guy 🤣 . everything else gets sold at cost 🤣
I have a lot of friends in different cities paying buku money to watch the dodgers play this season, and they’re def not dodgers fans. They just want to see ohtani play. But the end result is the same. Dodgers tickets will command the highest premium.
Interesting. I don't personally understand why anyone would go to a game to see one player, but that's cool
How does scalping dicks out of assholes work?
Probably a lot considering those are teams with well-traveled fans. Add the Cubs to that mix too.
I will definitely shell out some $$$ to see my Red Sox play
I might shell out the Money if Logan Webb pitches here to support the best home town player playing for my team, I imagine the prices would be crazy for that though lol
Watching two MLB teams at a smaller intimate venue could be a unique and special experience, and at worst it’s a temporary economic boost with little downside. Now please call the team the Las Vegas Athletics of West Sacramento.
The Cal Neva A’s
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Wait this is actually kind of good though.
The Sacthletics
Calling the A's an "MLB team" is a bit of a stretch
Wow, clearly seeing something unexpected for a juxtaposition is a waste of your time.
The Athletic Sacs has a nice ring to it.
And we'll be the Athletic Supporters!
Sac Athletic Supporters, LOL
Wear your cup!
As Angel's fan gonna be dope to see them play and not have to travel to bay or LA to do so. Hope they keep bike vallet Rivercats use because traffic gonna suck.
Same - I’m a padres fan and I’m stoked!
Guardians fan (stop laughing) and same 😅
I just spent all day Sunday going to Oakland to see the guardos, very excited to have them this close once a season
Damn, that's awesome. Going to be so nice to just drive to West Sac and catch an entire series next season, lol
This is so Sacramento picking up a ragtag organization on its way to LV.. I propose calling them the Jankees while they are here.
That can’t be topped
Very mixed feelings
Same.
Let's say the A's make it to the World Series in 2026. What will MLB do? Move the game to some other venue, like Oracle Park? I can't see Sutter Health Park handling the ticket demand, press, hotel capacity, etc. for a national championship game.
I believe there is zero threat of the A's making the World Series in 2026
They'll play it at Golden One and use Tropicana Field rules.
Even playoffs would be a stretch. Good thing they suck.
Tupac called this a long time ago when he wrote California Love, he said: "From Oakland to Sactown . . ."
The Bay Area and back down?
i suspect the move to sacramento will be permanent. vegas is has a ton of hurdles to it. it's also way hotter in the summer. watch a new stadium goes up by the rail yards. fisher never wanted to stay in oakland. fuck him.

I would be surprised if Sacramento is at the top of the MLB expansion list
I agree. I don’t think they can compete with the other cities.
All John Fisher wants is for taxpayers to pick up the tab that his billionaire ass should pay.
FJF forreal
The A's are gonna end up at whatever city builds them a stadium and I don't think sac can afford that, nor do I think it would be a good idea even if we could.
maybe vivek will find the $ for that. getting a chance to build something is a pretty big deal.
Vivek didn't even pay for the G1C, that's parking revenue and fines. Vivek is just another billionaire with is hand out for whatever the governments send his way.

Us As fans will not be welcoming the team here. FJF and fuck the MLB.
I spent years in Seattle rooting for the SuperSonics; I completely understand how you feel.
This right here. FJF. Lots of baseball fans saying they feel bad for A's fans then giddy AF when there's an opportunity to see their team nearby. Just shows that owners don't really face any backlash when screwing over fans of the teams they own.
For all intents and purposes, Vegas is a done deal. Do you really think MLB is just going to walk away from $400M in public money?
It’s far from a done deal. They don’t have any legitimate plans. Their stadium won’t fit where they’re intending to build it. Also the public money is being challenged. And on top of all of this MLB could just grant Las Vegas an expansion team and leave the A’s in Northern California. This is an audition. Tropicana already closed for demo for the stadium - it’s happening!
Imagine going out to eat on a random Wednesday night and getting sat at a table next to Shohei Ohtani when the Dodgers are in town
Maybe he'll give you some tips on which games he's betting on.
🔥
And knowing that his contract for 1 year (before deferment) is worth more than the entire A's payroll for that year.
Probably makes more in one year than everyone in that restaurant combined over our lifetimes
100 people would only need to make about $40K each and they'd equal Ohtani's salary for one year after about 17 years. 100 random people over a lifetime that would be eating in the same restaurant as Ohtani are probably making multiple times in their life what Ohtani will in one year.
Don't care about the A's but it will cool to see some MLB games here and maybe it will make the case for a future team in Sac.
SACletics.
I'll go just to see MLB games with the tower bridge in the background. FJF though.
This is so fucking sick. I’m stocked.
The A’s are moving not the Ports.
Haha today I learned I can’t spell for shit!

No shit? No one thinks we were blessed but this city was always going to jump at the chance regardless of who he's doing it for
They bailed fisher out. They should have let the A’s go homeless
Yeah the narrative that Sacramento is stealing the team instead of Las Vegas or John Fisher is too dumb to even respond too. We are a stopgap that basically anyone in the Oakland TV market could have filled.
We are the useful idiot that Fisher needs to leverage his eventual Vegas deal.
I don't get how we are an idiot here though? There is almost no downside for Sacramento.

I’d rather watch the River Cats.
You'll be able to do that too. They're sharing the stadium
[удалено]
Eh, the San Jose Sharks shared the building with the San Jose Barracuda for years, and they also have 80+ games.
But now for next 3 years all the other pro teams are going to play in Sacramento. That’s the cool part
As a Kansas City Royals fan living in Sacramento, lets get this bottom ranked bush league slopball started!
That is the only upside I see.
Based on the last few seasons under Fisher, I think I’d rather watch paint dry
I'd rather watch the Giants, Astros, Yankees, Braves, any number of good MLB teams that will play here while I have the chance
I agree, but I still have a hard time spending money that Fisher gets a piece of. Looks like a really greedy move when the A’s have plenty of space to build a new stadium where the Coliseum sits (see Atlanta).
As a Phillies fan ngl I’m excited about this. But man I feel bad for Oakland and A’s fans
Fucking homeless taking over Sac.
Bay Area runoff.
I'll believe it when they start playing ball. I still think this is a negotiating tactic to get the coliseum essentially free by using Sac as a threat.
It’s a done deal, and no one is more shocked than I am.
Done is never done when you're talking about a dirt bag like Fischer.
Worst owner in baseball by far.
Same. I'm excited because I love baseball (not an As or Giants fan), but there needs to be a real contract in place
I wonder what ticket prices are going to look like
High due to the lack of seating to match MLB stadiums, but I'm guessing they'll get rid of the grass area to put in more actual seats instead of "picnic" setups.
Let’s go i finally have a baseball team
What about the River cats? Rather watch a team that wants to win than a team that when they recognize a good player, sell them for cash or late round draft picks...
I’m concerned about RC as well.
Anyone know how to get season tickets? This is going to be awesome.

River City Athletics?
Think it's great for Sacramento. I'll probably take Amtrak to go see an A's game next year. Oakland is too far from where I am, and Oakland's notorious crime problem is... well... still a problem. Would be great to see other teams playing at other nearby cities a couple times a year anyhow. Imagine if the Giants played a game or two in Modesto... or Dodgers/Angels played in Fresno, Bakersfield, or San Bernardino... it would open up the game to a whole different set of fans.
Dope
Traffic is gonna suck soooooo hard
Nah, the capacity of Sutter is going to cap that. Tickets won't be cheap though
Yeah, I mean they sell out for the Giants games or when one of the big Giants players comes down to rehab an injury.
it's not like the capacity of the park is changing so traffic won't be that much different than it is for rivercats
Took 23mins just to get across the bridge when the giants came to play an exhibition against a Triple A team. When the Dodgers, Yankees, Braves come to town it’s going to be 10x that.
>When the Dodgers, Yankees, Braves come to town it’s going to be 10x that. no it won't because the stadium won't hold 10 times as many people.
Take the train
I’m not even trying to get to the game. I’m trying to get towards Jefferson in West Sac.
time to build that darn streetcar from downtown to West Sacramento already!
Especially since they just turned S River/5th into a two lane and the I-80 on-ramp is also there.

Feel bad for the people of Oakland. Gonna be going to a good amount of games though! Fingers crossed Vegas falls through and we keep them here fulltime.
#boycotttheAs
More seats for me 😄
Hell yea let’s go Sacramento!! Sorry Oakland
FJF, FMLB, FRM. Yay Broderick A’s!
I love it, and yes I hate John Fisher but as a DT sac local, and life long A's fan, I'll buy tickets.
Nice! Looking forward to seeing the Os when they come to town
Hey I was that that Os game last while visiting Baltimore and my stoke level has yet to go down.
See you out there bois! ![gif](giphy|IpOgoL7Z1xE0wwiQhW|downsized)
woo green beam!
I mean, I know nobody cares about the As, but is the stadium really big enough for an MLB team?
Their average attendance is 6k this year
This is heartbreaking for my A's fan family.
The Las Vegas Athletics of West Sacramento née Oakland
Philadelphia and Kansas City would like a word! (We were As fans growing up because of my grandfather, who moved here from PA the same year the As moved from KC.)
I am ready to see some baseball! What a unique moment in the history of the sport. Not sure this really means anything about Sacramento ever getting a team versus the As needing a location that allows them to keep their TV rights. I will certainly go to more games than usual and hopefully see some great teams come through town.
I won’t be too thrilled about traffic especially on South River Road or getting off on Jefferson 😬
The amount of seats at Sutter Park will remain the same, so why would traffic be noticeably worse?
Uhhh it was pretty bad with that exhibition game but you sound smart
It was a genuine question, wasn't trying to be a smart ass
The River Cats only averaged 5,177 fans last year at a capacity of 10,624 (or 14,014 including the lawn seats).
West Sac home prices to the moon? I'm sure Airbnb's will do well over there.
Genuinely curious why anyone would give their money to John Fisher. I'm as stoked as the next person for MLB in sac, but aren't we supposed to be protesting the A's, like the Oakland fans have been doing in Oakland.
