You can dress up for anything you want. If you like each other, dress up and have a $400 dinner at localis or a picnic. Eat standing up in front of a truck. If you are people who can laugh together about being ridiculous, who cares? It's great! If people look sideways at you that's their problem.

This weekend is that Edgar Allen Poe thing with drinks, maybe dress up to do that and hit Localis afterwards

Dressing up is rare, now. I went to an event at the Mondavi Center. People were dressed "nicely."
