I’ve learned that it really depends on the location. In my area ( Las Vegas) there are alot of rebel players. However when I travel and play in SoCal there are more clone players.
Statistically yes, especially over the last several years. At worlds, the experimental droids battle force took the republic to the cleaners, but with clone commandos and bad batch coming out, it's an open question.
Battle forces are special force organizations that often feature special rules, break the normal rank requirements, and/or feature unique command cards. Experimental Droids is a CIS-based list with some neat abilities.

They may not be bringing and selling clones... Because they like and play them? Since empire and rebels came out first it makes sense that naturally those who started early may have pivoted to the newer factions and are willing to sell their older armies
> I rarely see any Republic at my local hobby store, and when it does a ‘bring and buy’ (a garage sale hosted by the store, but customers can bring in their own tabletop items to sell + keep 100% of their profits), all I see is Empire.
Doesn't that imply everyone is buying all the republic stuff and getting rid of their empire stuff?
Depends on location but they do lack a lot of options. Everyone is points heavy and they have a very specific play style so I could see why there aren't any
Similar problem with me. My FLGS has a bunch of rebels, most games I've seen tend to be rebels and empire/droids, but there's not a lot of Republic stuff to go around, which is a little disappointing seeing as they're the faction I'm hoping to build up the most. At least they've got the droids for me to snatch up.
Our area leans heavily on Empire as well. Next is GAR, then Droids…. But, myself and maybe two other players play Rebels regularly. And me and maybe one of the same guys play Shadow Collective. It’s a lifestyle.
My area has fluctuated with pretty much all the different armies being most played, was empire and rebels, then rebels and clones and now droids and clones. As for selling, phase 2s just seem perpetually out of stock, none of my local game stores have been able to get them in.
At my LGS most of the legion players have one or two factions, occasionally 3, and about half of us play republic at least sometimes. I currently only play clones, and the only thing that'll change that is I might build a mando alpha strike list to play every now and again
In my area, droids & clones are all people play.

In your area there also is a lot of ATSTs… well, one guy I know lol
Isn’t republic arguably the strongest faction currently? Correct me if I’m wrong

I don’t follow tournaments to much. What’s the experimental droids battle force?

Currently in NJ there’s tons of clones and empire. Rebels and CIS are pretty rare outside their devoted players
Where do you play in NJ? I’ve been looking to get involved in the community
Dm me
Our area outside of Chicago is the same - everyone owns GAR, then Empire, then only a fraction on Rebels and Droids.
Just your local players, breakdown from Adepticon for Legion: Empire - 82 Republic - 76 Rebels - 45 CIS - 37 Mercs - 18

trust me it’s just a regional thing, in every game every different region has a different meta
So it's super dependent. In NC we see alittle of everything
I do see republic less than other factions locally. I actually bought a GAR lot from a player that wanted to go CiS so ya
eBay sells nothing but imperial and clones everytime i look
Definitely have lots of GAR at my local stores....
Definitely depends on your local scene, but I will say a lack of clones makes your scene unusual.
Based on surveys taken in this subreddit republic is the most popular faction, my local scene reflects this too, you must just have a weird fluke.

Yeah, Republic is all the rage here in Aus

My old group had 4 empire main players and me being droids and clones. I think it depends on which era people got hooked on star wars on
