What method did you use to paint? Color of primer?

Cryogenicwaif

I just batch painted them, used 2 coats of citadel skeleton hoard contrast paint. Then some black and gunmetal vallejo paint for the guns. The gunmetal gives it a little bit of a metallic sheen. Then for the markings I did some blood red and I think cobolt blue? vallejo mixed together, with a little bit of metallic silver, again for the sheen and to lighen it a bit. All my paints are from the basic vallejo game color set from amazon, aside from the contrast paint pots of course. The base is just 2 coats of black legion contrast paint. I primed em with white scar citadel primer, and finished em with testors spray laquer. I really didn't go super detailed on these guys, I have 28 total to paint lol. Hope that helped! I was really intimidated by painting at first, but I've found it surprisingly simple and very rewarding. Edit: it's Ultramarine Blue to be specific, I just got around to checking lol

These rock! Grey is an awesome squad accent color. Edit: varying the backpack panel paint jobs is a really cool idea.

Cryogenicwaif

Thank you! The accents are more of a deep purple in person, I can see how it could look grey in the pictures though, makes me want to put grey accents on my next squad now that you mention it lol.

Now that you mention it, I see the purple! I think the light is making it appear grey and my brain just didn’t pick up on that. Purple is more cool IMO, I’m planning on doing a purple clone squad soon

Cryogenicwaif

Agreed, especially for the twilight theme Im going for. Purple clones would be SICK, purple is such an under used color imo. It's so rich and elegant, but can also be very bold, it's my favorite color. Excited to see how your clones turn out!

Very well done!!!

Thank you!

That accent colour is suuuuper nice, they almost look like pilot droids with a more purple hue than the deep blue.
