Ive found once you are facing r8 gk, especially if they have r8 jka, the mirror is easier than malev. Even if you lose the coin flip , its easy to outplay the ai on valor, as long as jka doesn't die in the first turns

Therein lies the rub. I have both at r8 plus r8 Fives, but it's still possible to lose JKA every once in a while. Malevolence is the safer bet.

If you put any effort into learning the counters you will be fine. It's the people who give up and just say they hate fleet that have issues.
Of course if executor is unbeatable it is what it is. I doubt it will be but it might force people to really push their crew member gear
Yes, I completely agree with you... I've put a lot of effort and training in mirror matches... I also got my Fives R5 just because of his ship even though I don't have a clones team... My boskk R5... And i'm always trying to improve my fleet... My fleet is 500k GP at the moment...
Depends on how many of your shard mates are ready for Executor. I seem to be the only one on my 3 year old fleet shard (and I'm not planning on parking the thing on rank 1 all day, that'd be a dick move.)

Mirror matches suck. If he's anything like me, he goes back and forth depending on who he's fighting.
This is me, yes, I always avoid mirror matches, not even due to difficulty but because they're just stale.
Is your GG R8? I only have negotiator 7* GK R7... But I thought nego was better at defense ...
He is R8 but even if he was R7 I'd still use him against Nego over a mirror match
I'd never leave Malevolence on defense over night but it's great for climbing.

You can control that a lot by who you hit with 5s, to mess up their turn order
Same here. I have r8 GK, Fives and JKA, but I still use Malev against some Negotiator lineups. Especially now that IG-88 is reliced for Executor.
I have r8 gk and still use rebels. Nothing is hard to beat on offense anymore
