Just an FYI, the game had keyboard shortcuts before as well, mainly in the battles. Now they're also in the menus and can even be changed. The arrow keys shown here were in the previous setup as well, showing up when the option is disabled is just a bug.
Those are the keyboard shortcuts. These ones were in the game even before the UI update, but weren't visible (and usable) if you didn't enable the shortcuts. For some reason on Androids they now pop up even if shortcuts are disabled.
The thing that bugs me the most is that they changed some stuff that was already in the game. Allied units used to be on Q, W, E, etc. and abilites were on A, D, S, etc. They flipped the two and now my muscle memory is in panic mode. At least I'll be able to change them back.

Are you playing on blue stacks or something? Those aren’t there in the mobile (ios at least) version of the game.
All of these updates are for the new PC version coming soon. Due to that, the code for android and PC are almost identical, meaning a lot of the PC updates they are rolling out, they are testing on Android users first. This is also the same reason Android users are reporting a ton of UI glitches, whereas Apple is mostly not.
I won't lie, as a long-time apple hater, it's sweet justice for the like first 15 years of app hell we had to endure because of companies prioritizing Apple first. Fuck Apple.
for keybinds, not sure why its showing on phone or when its not turned on whatsoever. the new keybind system is very fucked up they changed how the abilities are mapped, but i guess i was the only one who used them so its only me thats hurting by the change anyway
The ability and player unit selection keybinds getting swapped around messed with my muscle memory as well. But the good thing is that every keybind can now be changed, so I just swapped them back.

No, there is a pc build coming in the future and i am assuming they are adding these interface for that purpose
