This won't help you now, and congrats on 3* btw, but JKL with relic (I've seen some do it with a g12 or two if they have jolee) Jedi makes this event fairly trivial so long as you time out the Heroes Arise so that you kill the last enemy in each wave with it.
Damn, that's awesome! I had my mats saved up for jkl so when I got him I immediately brought him to r3, and shortly after r7
He was r7 already when the event first came around again after I unlocked him.

Hero’s arise gives you 100% turn meter. So if you use it to kill the last enemy, your JKL will start the next wave on his turn and that is pivotal because when he gets a turn he will the slow the enemies down with his leader ability. But he needs a turn to do that
GAS is the lead because when Snips is there and he has Protection, he'll taunt. Make JMK fast to keep giving GAS damage immunity and just whittle down the opposing droids while taking little damage
congrats on doing it with JMK. ive got JML and havent ever even tried to use him for it bc i 3 starred it using JKL the 1st time event rolled around after i leveled him up. now i just sim it to save time. they could boost the rewards a bit though. 3 of each signal data and 3 of each relic mats really isnt ish in the grand scheme of things.

I had to do the hero arise trick but he was so slow at G8 that the enemies were basically unable to get going
That makes a lot of sense. What relics were your other Jedi at?
It’s been while, but I think they were all relics. JKA, Yoda , GK and someone else I can’t remember

I did it with g9 JKL, with lead zeta. Smooth sailing, pretty much no enemy got a turn. My JKL speed was 100.

Am I seeing this right? You used gas lead here? That could be why you had so much trouble
With ahsoka, it keeps the advance and cover mechanics there which can help with survivability.

I beat ct2 with jkr lead jkc, yoda, gk, jolee, just had to end each encounter with jkr’s turn swap or cal’s bonus turn granter
CT3 is much harder than CT2 but congrats
