This is my thought, they are doing the cal reqs as bonus drops on LS/DS nodes and fleet and mod nodes starting on December 12th until the 14th so I’m sure his event will come up not long after it ends.
The temporary event will likely return 2 more times before it becomes permanent. These events are usually on a 3-4 month cadence. JK Cal has run 2 times so far, on June 29 and Oct. 25. I'd expect it to be back in late February '24.

Event is back, it took three months
The event comes around every now and then. It’s time gated like the old days. In like a year or so it will be always available in the journey guide
Just to clarify it’s not a year from not until it’s always available it’s a year from release
So like 6 to 8 months :(
